Stopped into Freddy's tonight for a late dinner. It's nice this joint is open till 10. We came around 8. The place was empty so it was kinda nice to eat at any table we wanted. A sweet gal came to the register and greeted us. She got our order all squared away. My husband ordered a shake and she was kind to offer to make the shake later so it didn't melt. My husband wanted it during dinner so she got it all ready and handed it to us. We went to find a table while our food was being prepared. We wanted a booth and unfortunately a lot of the booths were very dirty with food. You can tell the tables haven't been tended to and cleaned. We did find a booth by the front door that was clean. Our number was called out and we grabbed our goodies. I got the California burger with a lettuce wrap, my husband grabbed the grilled cheese steak burger and a chili cheese dog. I opted for onion rings instead of the fries. The onion rings were good. They were crispy on the outside and the onion was soft and sweet in the middle. The burger was tasty. I did have to use a fork to eat it. I thought when they offered my burger to be lettuce wrapped that it would be wrapped. It was pretty much two pieces of lettuce on the top and bottom which made it hard to eat just holding it. My husband enjoyed his grilled cheese steak burger very much. I also did have a bite of the chili cheese dog. It wasn't lacking in the cheese and chili department! It was great. My husband polished off every bit of his oreo shake, I didn't even get a sip of it. People started coming in as we were finishing our meal. It was nice to see late eaters coming in and eating. Freddy's has always produced yummy burgers. It was great that we came here for an easy dinner tonight. I look forward to coming back and getting another fantastic burger and shake if my husband's shares with me next time. read more

The burger was greasy. The fries were under seasoned. It's not the first time I've eaten there I keep giving them a chance to make good food but it's just not happening. The custard is hit or miss. Sometimes it's great and then other times it's like you get a turtle sundae missing the nuts. It's actually nuts! The inside of the restaurant is dirty and sticky most of the time. Someone should just get in there and take charge and clean the place up and serve quality food. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the kids that work there are nice. read more

First off, they have some incredibly kind and patient staff working here! The custard is actually amazing, the lobby is clean, the front counter is very nice. They have a freezer for custard pickups. I dash here quite often and finally got to try the custard yesterday. I was helped by a very kind lady. It's a good vibe, the music isn't too overwhelming or loud whenever I'm in there and the lights aren't too bright for us photosensitive folks. I'm sadly disappointed with this location, starting with the drive thru. Apparently, the speaker wasn't working well, and the employee couldn't hear me, so I had to yell my order. PLEASE fix the system. She was, however, able to accommodate my simple requests. I ordered the California Dbl Burger and Hot Fudge Malt. The sandwich was a disaster. Very poorly 'thrown' together, with minimal lettuce, smashed tomatoes and 2 small halves of onion. Why cut corners so drastically on the cheap items? The Hot Fudge Malt was good. The window employees didn't smile and didn't seem friendly, which is a big surprise for me, and this is FREE and makes a big impression. In this case, a poor impression. read more

These burgers are excellent, crispy edges with simple but tasty toppings and the shoestring fries are addictive. I must have driven by this place 100 times before finally trying. When I got home, I opened my container and there was a hair on my food. I decided to still consume some of it, and then saw a very pink spot in my burger. Before my husband even took a bite of his burger, he cut it in half and the middle of his burger was also very pink. I don't know if it wasn't cooked all the way or what. We usually don't have a bad experience with Freddy's, but I would think that there is a standard temperature that the middle of the patties need to reach before being given to customers for consumption. A well deserved update is due! So many meals later, I'd like to amend my recommendation of their burgers. While a single is not nearly enough meat, their doubles are quite good. I just had a double steak burger California style and it was delicious. My kiddos like the chicken sandwich and the Freddys original double burger. Desserts are all very good. I understand these days, restaurants are cutting costs, dealing with inflation and understaffing. I too am getting hit with inflation and understand increased costs. We don't have a lot of money to spend and eat out, but every 4-6 months we will splurge a little. Spending 4 hours of my labor to get a meal for my family, I feel like I have been kicked in the stomach. Could have been the stale, cold fries, or the "limited time only", French Onion Steak Burger. Also I tried to eat the fries on the drive home and they were cold and stale. I was the only customer at this time. Now I understand pictures of fast food are never exactly alike. I get it. I just wanna say this ! This place should take notice from Fraddys on State st in Boise. This location in Eagle disappoints every single time. Today I have been waiting for over 20 min to get a burger. Then when you get to the window you don't even get a hello or hi, even apologize for making not just me but so many people wait. I look inside and there is at list 10 employees joking around. I didn't see a single person in the restaurant. When I asked the tall kid about talking to a manager he looked at me like what do you want? He gave ma quick stair down. This manager I guess comes over and I simply asked him about why such a long wait when there is nobody in the restaurant and why is happening every week I come here? He just looked at me without acknowledging the situation at hand just said our limit is 10 min. I am looking at him and I said but you hardly have anyone in the restaurant and your employees are giving me dirty looks while they all are just messing around.
