This is the best Carl's Jr location I've ever been to! I regularly come to this location after my ski trips, and the service here is consistently top notch. The staff are exceedingly nice and attentive, all while processing orders at breakneck speeds. Once, they made a minor mistake on my order where they added cheese when I specifically requested no cheese. They quickly remedied the issue with not just a replacement burger, but additional tater tots and a cookie! I rarely experience this level of service from fast food establishments. Employees are nice, which I can respect but I paid $15 for a burger meal with fries and a drink. Burger had 2 pieces of bacon on it, no BBQ, and was just mid. For a fast food joint, Carl's Jr. does some thing right. Not being available on the east coast this was my first ever trip to a Carl's Jr. and I enjoyed every second of it. From the small mountain town it was located in, to the easy going staff, and of course, let's not forget the food that was absolutely delicious. Let me clarify that this place is being voted as a fast food place and not being compared to a steakhouse, so it definitely earned its stars on this trip. I ended up trying the BBQ burger with onion rings and bacon on it (I have no idea what the name was) but it reminded me very much of Burger King's rodeo cheeseburger and it was bigger and tastier then that sandwich ever was. Mix that up with some top notch French fries and a sprite and you have yourself a happy customer. Overall, I was very pleased with my first ever trip to Carl's Jr. and I will definitely be visiting these in Las Vegas now that I live near some. I would sooner attempt to make a meal of the grass, snow, and cigarette butts sitting in front of the restaurant than ever attempt to order anything or get any service from that nasty old bag that works up front again. We order one sausage and egg biscuit and one SA sausage egg and cheese biscuit combo. No issue so far. We pull up to the window and we get our receipt. I noticed it just said two sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits with one of them being a combo. Since I can't eat cheese, we politely ask if she got one without cheese. She gets the nastiest look on her face, like HOW DARE WE say "yOu DiDnT sAy No ChEsSe". I think it was a reasonable assumption that we didn't want cheese on one of them, but it's completely understandable that it would of maybe gotten missed over the intercom. Anyways...after she clarified with us like twice no cheese on one them, we get our food back while she still has that nasty hateful look and doesn't say a single word more to us, even as we do our best to still be nice and understanding. We pull away, and wouldn't you know it, she gave us two biscuits with EXTRA cheese and I honestly just love that for us. Anyways, if you're crossing the pass or heading out for a day of snowboarding and have literally any other option for whom to give your money to (there's a really nice Starbucks right across the street with good breakfast food, and pretty decent McDonald's right next door) then I would recommend that option over this place, or simply a still better option would be to just go hungry and save your money as I've now found myself out ten bucks on the way to snowboarding with a sandwich I can't eat and went through crap to get. read more

I'm not sure why this place has such a low rating. First, let's start with the customer service at this joint. They are the NICEST people I swear. Every time! All the employees! We stop every time on the way skiing, hiking, whatever we are doing that way. Next, let's get onto the food. I'm annoying af and have CELIAC disease AND I'm vegetarian. Talk abt difficult. Fast food is really difficult for me but every time I come here I explain my food allergies and they are ON IT! Plus they have the impossible burger, so, take that McDonald's next door who's line is soooo long every time. We never wait longer than 2 mins at CJ. NO LINES FOR THE BATHROOM. Always clean. Can't say enough bad things about this location. We waited for our food at the window for 10 minutes. They were out of almost all of their soda options, when I was given my drink it was tea instead of the coke I ordered. The only drink size available was small. Man, that Beyond Meat burger is, surprisingly, really really good. First time I've had one here. It's tastier than beef and I can be sure about what I'm eating. With beef, I'm not always sure what's in it (antibiotics, hormones, parasites, etc). I've seen the Beyond Meat patties in grocery stores and they aren't very big. The ones at Carl's are good size. Asked the girl at the drive though what was the most popular thing so we knew what to get... she made two recommendations but it was clear she wasn't too enthusiastic about the food. We went with the #1. I appreciated the paper wrapping so that we could eat and drive, but that was about it. The burger itself wasn't anything special or different from a Wendy's #1. Bathroom stall had toilet missing cover. Should have been an indication of the type of place this was. I ordered sweet potato fries and it was sweet potato and reg fries together. A majority of the soda was flat. Mainly water missing carbonation or syrup. Def wouldn't have stopped had I known it was going to be this bad. Finally! Fast food that tastes homemade! If you need a fast burger fix on I70 west of Denver, Carls Jr has opened a new restaurant in Idaho Springs just off the first exit going west. My personal favorite is the "Big Carl" with jalapenos, which is a fast food burger to die for. The interior is done in a skiing / boarding motif, and a few of the booths are made from old ski lift chairs. The staff is friendly (novel concept for a fast food joint, no?) and the prices are right in line with those other fast food guys. read more

We don't have Carl's Jr in Minneapolis, so when we happened onto this exit during a tour of CO ski resorts, the hubs and I HAD to drive thru. I was excited to see that they have a fish sandwich on the menu - fast food noshing attempts. can be very futile for pescatarians. I grabbed the fish, the hubs grabbed the standard, and we went on our way. The food was solid - no complaints. I routinely discourage giving fast food burger joints more than three stars (if and when I patronize them) due to the fact that they're eating YOU up as fast as you're eating them. However, this place gets four stars due to a special customer service aspect that I've never received from any other interstate pit stop. Upon opening my fish sammy I noted that they had wrapped it in a way that made eating while driving SO easy! They wrapped half of the sandwich, doubling the rest of the wrap back over, then wrapped the entire sandwich in a separate wrap. Mad props for this ingenious touch of service! read more

I have long favored Carls Jr as a burger place, and was pleased to see one in Idaho Springs on the way back from rafting...bizarrely, in the same plaza as a McDonalds. Their Famous Star is their trademark burger, and nothing beats ripping a coupon out from an Entertainment book and going, "Free Famous Star, please!" :D There are, of course, other sandwiches there -- and I have yet to stumble across a bad one. They just have that BURGER taste you want!! (Mc D's, Wendy's, BK don't, and I've heard varying reports about Good Times...I like them, but...*shrug*). Friendly service through the drive-through.
