Fast food always has bad reviews and I never pay attention to them, nor do I write reviews, until now. I came here a couple of days ago (drive thru) and ordered a famous star with cheese and a double western, just by themselves. When I got home I opened the double western to find a single, when I payed for a double. I thought to myself, owell, it's fast food and they screw up from time to time and I brushed it off. Today I went back, drive thru again and ordered the same thing. I checked the bag before leaving to make sure it was a double, and it was correct. I got home, sat down to eat and bit into my double western just to get the worst taste in my mouth of rancid fish. After I bit into it, the smell was even worse and I almost vomited! This is disgusting and unacceptable. Why does my burger taste like rotten fish?? The health department should pay this place a visit. Never again will I come here. read more

Wow I hate this location. Love the Carls Jr. when I pay no mind to what I am eating, but this location always pisses me off in one way or another. I stopped in last Thursday to grab some dinner on my way to hang out with some friends and play cards. I walked into the store and there was one guy in front of me and three people behind the counter. The workers were all busy, one making food, one making shakes, and the third moving between the fryer and trying to bag up orders. This was all at around 6:30 - what I would think would be prime dinner time for a place like this. It took a good 7 minutes for someone to man the register and take the order of the guy in front of me. I know this because I was running late and kept looking at my watch. Once his order was taken, I had to wait another 4 minutes to place my order. Man that sucks, but I had to get something to eat and it was too late to go anywhere else. The food took another 5 minutes to make. I'm all for "fresh" food at a place like this, but be quick about it. This is fast food isn't it? My order took a little longer than it should have because they messed up making my spicy chicken sandwich. No mayo means no mayo please. It was a near 20 minute transaction...uhhh... If there had been a good dinner crowd here, I might still be waiting to order. I still think the food at Carls Jr. is better than any of the other franchise burger joints. Too bad the only other place in the area to grab a quick bite is a Weinerschnizel...and I can't do that... read more

You always list such delicious-sounding hamburgers on your board-- Teriyaki Burgers, Western Bacon Cheeseburgers-- you know I came in just for a Spicy Chicken Sandwich, no mayo, but still you tempt me with your delicious pictures of delicious sandwiches. But I know. I know that those glorious meaty pictures are actually heart attacks on plates, some containing upwards of 1000 or more calories! I know better. More like 2.5 stars - I really like the baja chicken soft taco plate but with a crunchy taco shell. The flavors are good and ...hmm.. light. I do not like the burgers here. It's like a fat man sat on them! EVERY time I order a burger it comes out squashed. They have a drive-thru, which i prefer to the inside since the inside always seems grungy to me. Food is allways consistent,a little pricey if you don't have coupons but it's decent food and we allways end up back here. Service is great David the big guy is awesome!.....he allways makes sure our order is right and gets us everything we need we always come inside to say hi because we know we'll be greated with a smile and our order will be right. read more

Place is horrible. Got my order wrong, so i go back in and complain - in a nice way, then i dont even get an apology. When some moron gave me back my order, it was wrong again. This is fast food so there's not much to be said about the menu but I'm partial to the San Diego Burrito. Most of the time it's aces, but I've had a couple where the ingredients tasted a bit old/reheated. Eh. It's fast food. A couple of things I've noted during my time here: 1.) They have card swipers that point towards the purchaser, but for the ~7 months I've occasionally been visiting this location for lunch, they've never worked! The cashiers can swipe with their kiosks, but why even have them out for such an extended period of non-functionality? Weird. 2.) They have a great deal where you get 2 bacon/egg/cheese biscuits for $2.22 - I enjoyed this (and the biscuits) so much that I was getting them almost every day for breakfast at one point, until I thought to check the nutrition information the have up on the wall -- 600 calories for 1 biscuit for a total of 1200 for both! I was shocked and disappointed that I didn't check sooner. Again, it's fast food, but DAMN. read more

Drove through and ordered a number 3 $5.00 meal deal which is supposed to be a double cheese burger, onion rings, fries, and cookie with drink. They ask medium or large. If you say medium they charge you $6.00. I opened the box and found a chicken sandwich wrapped up in a cheeseburger wrapper. The flashing sign at the speaker box only shows box #1 and 2. I recently bought a California Burger here and wow! I've never seen such unhygienic practices, especially in the midst of a pandemic! I walked in to see one of the cashiers fiddling with their mask and then not washing their hands. That should have been enough of a red flag but I still ordered. I soon found a hair in my burger and the bread smelled terrible, as if someone forgot to wash their hands before handling the food. I'm sure there are some people who may have gotten sick from this nasty place!!! Probably not my best choice tired of these guys not getting the order correct. So if you want your food correct get out of your vehicle go inside. To get fresh hot fries order them without salt they will be fresh and hot cause they cannot use the fries or the basket if it has been salted. Then tell them you want salt and ketchup. read more

Todays Date: 1/14/2018. This Carl's Jr is the WORST. I came to order two burritos and a French toast the manager of the store was the one to help me at the window. I had asked her if she could do cash and card and split the amo but between both, as she handed me back the card I noticed she did not give me cash back along with the card as I have her 10 dollars cash and my card for a $14.49 transaction. I asked her for the change and showed her that she charged 10 dollars to my card. Her response was there was no change and she did the transaction correctly. Giving her the benefit of a doubt I drove away to take my niece home, as I got home i hopped online to check if she charged my card the 10 dollars as she had told me she charged the $4.49 to my card not the 10 dollars, which is why she didn't give me change back. I saw she had charged my card the 10 dollars and had to drive back to dispute this transaction with her in a very calm fashion, when I had arrived I spoke to her and she said she had to check the transaction and that she believes she did it right. I gave her the receipt and she went to check the transaction which she came back with 10 dollars in hand and asked me what she owed me. Without just looking at the receipt herself she thought she owed me the full 10 back, which I had to say twice that she only owed me the difference for the $4.49 being charged to the cash, the difference was $5.51, as a manager she should have been knowledgeable enough to know how her system works and how to read a receipt. I didn't ask for any compensation for her wasting my gas having to drive back and forth to settle this, but in the end she also did not offer any compensation especially after I showed her the charge on my card via my bank app. Her apology wasn't even sincere she still thought she was correct and I'm sure of it. I left without making a scene because I'm not the type to do things like that, but this review was absolutely necessary. How can you be the manager of a popular chain establishment like this and not care about your customers this is ridiculous. I tried to leave a no star as a rating for this store but without even putting one I couldn't leave a comment. NOT EVER GOING BACK TO THIS CARL'S JR AGAIN, I'd rather drive to the one further down lake forest near the best buy instead of go to this one. read more

Food is so so here. Tacos are the worst I've had in my entire life, had to throw them away they were so bad. Fries are cold and the portions they give you are small they don't fill the fry container to the brim. The Western Bacon is decent. Which is the only thing that warranted the 3 stars. All this said, this isn't even the worst part. The service here is atrocious. All employees act as if they do not want to be there and I don't blame them but don't take it out on me. read more

When I order Diet Coke give me Diet Coke, I don't drink it because I'm on a diet, if I was I wouldn't be eating at CJ, I drink it because I love the taste, regular CocaCola taste awful, so you wasted my money since I have had to pour it down the drain twice, I know this is done on purpose because the little diet button on the lid was pushed in, Didn't think you were rude enough to do it twice. Just left this location. Went through the drive thru and asked the cashier if they still had the two Western Bacon Cheeseburger deal for five dollars. It took the guy a few minutes to answer me(I'm assuming because he had to ring it up to check, whatever, no big deal) after a moment he told me yes and the total would be $5.75. Perfect. I told him that's all I wanted then drove up to the pay window where the manager was standing right next to him at the register. He turned me and again said," your total is $5.75", I gave him my card which the manager took and then she gave it back to me and I looked at the receipt and I was charged $7 instead of $5.75. Now get this, it's the real kicker here, NONE of them had the balls to tell me that I was being charged $7 or even apologized that my total was more than I was originally told. I didn't make a big stink about it because I didn't want my burgers to come with extra spit. Great service with friendly staff. I hang out here reading and writing my journals often. Most of the time it is cool and quiet. Why is it that when I pay $31 for a meal in an exotic restaurant in the next town, I get much less service, respect, and attention than paying $2 for an ice tea in this Carl's Jr a minute from where I live?
