When I requested a detailed breakdown of the costs at the drive-thru window, the employee informed me that the prices were posted on the outside menu board. However, upon inspection, the prices were not listed. They were friendly and ready to serve. I had been looking for a Green Burrito location and this was near the motel. This was at an odd intersection, near I-5, with Harlan Rd doing some half-circle thingee. You might even miss the store because of Jack in the Box and McDonald's, but Carl's Jr is always worth the extra trouble. The two beef tacos and drink were just under $5.00 with tax, which isn't bad. It may not be authentic Mexican, but it's worth a couple of extra dollars over JiTB to get the lettuce and cheese. It didn't take long and the manager brought the food to the table. Ordered the hot honey chicken tender or whatever there called. Well first off she's asked me 3 or 5 I say 5 then she says let me ask if we have the sauce and I get told no they don't have it, we'll anyways I told her so I'm basically getting plain chicken tenders. She said yeah so I said whatever and took it well the manger comes over and asks if they have anymore in Spanish and they reply in Spanish saying yeah they have some more in the back. Every time I go there there always out of this or that, the service is always horrible and their "portions" are always garbage. Incompetent people working. So mad! I ordered a grilled cheese burger. Now mind you Carl's Jr a while back made a grilled cheese cheese burger and some Carl's Jr. still know how to make these and have people that know about this and people that are competent enough to make it. Also how difficult is it to make a grilled cheese??? Bread and cheese put on flat grill and wa la cheeseburger! Nope can't do that here either. What do I get?? I get bread that isn't grilled with cheese inside and a grilled cheese burger the same way. So I take back and after some discussion they take back and said they will correct it. Minutes later the burger comes back and it's been literally grilled on what looks like a bbq grill! Also smells like it's been charred! This place possibly has been the best since I moved here. I've never had this type of food back in my hometown of papa New Guinea! Fast food is something that is new here to me since we grew up eating traditional homemade meals. Carl's Jr. is the best place that has serviced me, the workers are very friendly especially Joel and Karina! They have treated me to so well made meals. Joel makes the best milkshakes and they always come out special. Every time I come in they give me pure love and always make sure I get the best of everything. I forgot to mention about Veronica! Showed up at 2 am because they were one of the only 24 hour places around. Once's I pulled up they said I couldn't order because their system was down... umm okay? Oh my gosh - the mens restroom smelled like a gasoline explosion would happen at any moment. Not the "normal" gas one may notice in a restroom from time to time, but gasoline! Of all the CJs this place has always been my favorite location. I've always had great service, and the food had always been good. The burgers are always hot and the veggies crisp. Even the fries taste good. Tonight after kidding about how the burgers never seem to be as big as what's one the tv commercials with the person that served me in the drive through; I sat down at my dinner table and opened the box to find a huge and heavy guacamole bacon cheese 1/2 pound burger. My hands are big and yet my fingers had to stretch to hold this burgers. Thank you to tonight's crew, they went above and beyond to provide the best service and best meal possible. I drove up to the window where a young lady handed me my drink and I felt something was amiss. No greeting. No eye contact. There was no one else around so it wasn't because she was busy. Same thing when I got my food. She handed it out without looking at me or saying a word. I got home and there was cheese on the burger. I'm lactose intolerant so I always say clearly s no cheese. I had to give my order to the girl 3 times and she still got wrong, worst thing is I only order two items a steak and egg burrito and a coffee, I know very hard order! Anyway she copped a very bad attitude and was quite short speaking to me.
