The one saving grace might be their fries are pretty fantastic. The chicken strips, while not being anything special and more than likely just a frozen Tyson product, were made worse by being drenched in buffalo sauce I hadn't asked for. The pictures on billboards and on the menu made no reference to the strips being anything other than plain. I don't care for buffalo sauce and I had a hard time getting thru them. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I'm not going back for a 3rd time.

Mine came with sliced avocado (pretty much half of an avocado) which was ripe, smooth and creamy. It also came with crunchy onion strings and their special Topa Topa sauce and of course some kewpie mayo and shredded cabbage. The cabbage was super crunchy and fresh. The buns were super soft and toasted perfectly. The fries were alright. The Okonamiyaki style was unique and the toppings were tasty. My Dr Pepper was a little too sweet, maybe it was more syrup than carbonated water. Overall the burgers here were great! I also got an order for my boyfriend later that night. Ordering to go was super easy. My boyfriend devoured his Spicy Miso burger. Service here was great as well. Would come back for the burgers!

There are grilled onions at the bottom of the burger and the top is dressed with thick cut pickles and a decorative drizzle of Hammer Sauce. One of the things I like most about this burger is the overall texture and the proportions of beef to the steamed potato bun. It's soft and melty and delicious. The fries are great too (thin and crispy) and they have a nice selection of house sauces. Their signature Hammer Sauce, White BBQ sauce, Garlic Sauce, Chipotle Mayo, Jalapeño Ranch and Ranch. I went around the world and tried every one. Customizing your sauce by mixing a few together is not a bad idea and likely a veteran move. I have had their sweet potato fries before and they are above average. I have also had their chili cheese fries and a cup of chili...not bad. Their Flatty Melt ($11) was the first burger I tried when going the first time. Unique and tasty. I've also had Spicy Smash ($11) that has a pile of grilled jalapeño's on top. It's hot so be prepared. They have a nice selection of beers but I haven't gone down that road yet. Lunch was so good, I bought my son-in-law a $75 gift certificate. The downtown area has really be revitalized and now it's fun to walk around.

Despite our 15 minute drive home, the food was still warm and really delicious. The burger had good flavor with and without their house sauce. The chili cheese fries were skinny fries with a cheese sauce and bean-less chili. The chili was filling and had a little kick to it. The batter-fried onion rings were (still) crispy and yummy with both ranch and the house sauce. We will definitely be back to fill our smashburger and chili cheese fries cravings! PS- The bathrooms were clean.

Beware of this Carl's Jr. location at the Outlets at Orange! My family and I were deciding where to eat, visiting a few restaurants inside the mall before finally ending up at Carl's Jr. When we returned, my car had already been towed by Southside Towing. It was shocking and frustrating to discover that they were towing cars at an absurd pace--about five cars in just one hour, likely taking advantage of the Thanksgiving weekend traffic. This experience completely ruined our day. Carl's Jr. should take responsibility for this, as they are indirectly involved by allowing such aggressive towing practices. I strongly advise against visiting this location unless you want to risk your car getting towed. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. read more

Ok 7:30pm arrived at drive through only to be told they have Chicken only at a burger place? Which closes at 11pm! Uhhh this place definitely has some issues and the rating fits the bill. I think the person or employees need to start appreciating the job opportunity there, otherwise look for a new job because the business definitely is going to be affected. I LoVE Carls Jr. since this place gave me my 1st opportunity to work in my earlier year so it's sad to see how this restaurant is having to deal with workers who do not value the opportunity given to them like I have. The morning staff here are absolute garbage. They don't listen to your orders, give you soggy disgusting food and usually the WRONG food. Its the same older lady every time who F*CKS up my order because she just doesn't LISTEN. There is a younger girl who is fine in the morning but this older woman needs to be fired. Went thru the Drive Thru. First they say the cant do a Split order. Great..... Then they tell us to park around the corner and wait for are food. We wait at least 10 mins. Woww.... They forgot the Drink... A Spicy Chicken sandwich. All That to still mess up the order, and have to get out of the Car to walk in..... Many of their items are meh, but there are others that fit the bill. The problem with this store is that it's really poorly run, almost to the point one wonders if it's even a real Arby's. I used the app, which I'll do anytime a brand has one. Apps allow for some customization, and minimize mistakes which can occur in other order methods. I placed my order and, given the choice, went with the drive-thru pick-up option. I got to the restaurant and, surprise, they don't even have a drive-thru! I went inside to pick-up my order and encountered a staff that clearly didn't want to be bothered. I was finally given some attention and received my order. I looked inside the bag and saw the sauces I ordered to accompany my meal weren't there. When I inquired about this, I was told, brusquely, "I give you one!" I was then given what appeared to be barbecue sauce is a generic container; not the Arby's-branded packet all other locations provide. I would be surprised if this was some off-brand product purchased by that location's operators in bulk. My recommendation? If you like Arby's, continue to. Just avoid this substandard location. It has a depressing atmosphere in every way.
