Stopped by in Patterson to get gas and went to Carl's Jr for snacks. I ordered on my app. It was during Appy Hour, half price sides, drinks, and shakes. So I got a bunch of fried foods. Zucchini (requested well done,) waffle fries (requested well done,) jalapeño poppers, and onion rings. Everything was cooked to perfection and was hot and crispy. I got the new queso dip. It went well with everything. My husband got chicken tenders and said they were excellent, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The service was great. Very friendly. Just stopped here on our way to go camping for a quick bite to go. Ordered a Famous Star burger and two chicken soft tacos. Let's start with the positive: The place was very clean. The service was friendly and quick. The fries and interior of both the burger and taco were warm and delicious. The negative: the soft taco shells and the burger buns were extremely stale. We didn't realize it until we were already back on highway 5. I realize this is a truck stop style Carl's Jr, but for $24, we deserve fresh ingredients. read more

We stopped here for a quick lunch this week while on a road trip. Carl's Jr usually has terrific onion rings, so we each ordered them to go with our quesadillas. The onion rings were inedible: they tasted like fried cardboard with no flavor whatsoever, dry as a bone, over-fried stale pieces of cardboard. We each had one bite and threw the rest away. On the way out, I wanted to provide feedback, but there was no one behind the counter or in the area behind the counter to tell! I would never consider returning to this establishment. read more

Hello I was just visiting this restaurant on the way through. Heading to LA. The food is very well. I enjoyed it the place look put together. I'm dyslexic, so I have some troubles reading sometimes but good thing there was a young lady there helping me at the register, and she helped me through everything. I think her name was Jenny, a younger Hispanic girl looks like she's gonna have a bright future in the food industry, but other than that, I had a very good experience it's very hard to find places socially for someone who is dyslexic having troubles, reading, certain words usually mostly go off of Photos, but she was very helpful read more

My husband and I were beginning to think we didn't like Carl's Jr anymore... Our experiences the last few times were all terrible. We decided to give it a shot anyway. Wow. So good. Burgers were hot/fresh. I got the jalapeno burger and for the he first time in years I didn't have to open my bun and rearrange the toppings. They were distributed nicely and each bite was delicious. I know this is a lot to say about a fast food place. I feel a bit silly, but we used to love Carl's Jr! All the ones in our area have let us down. I've been to this location dozens and dozens of times and the food has always been as one might expect of any fast food establishment, and I've used a veteran's discount each time, except for tonight... the drive-thru teller came back with my card having charged me full price and saying the veteran's discount doesn't apply to combo meals. First- I've never been told that before, at this location or any other. Second- Combo meals have got to be the bulk of their sales by a fair margin, so that pretty much narrows down what the discount applies to. I used to love Carl's Jr. I remember the juicy burgers with loads of bursting flavor and the hot and yummy onion rings. Well on our long trek home, we stopped at this Carl's Jr. and it was terrible. Dry burgers that had sticky, messy sauce everywhere. The dude taking the order was clueless to any of our questions. Although most places allow indoor dining now, but here we were allocated to the out side patio. Sounds great, but the high gust winds knocked over our drinks and took our fries too! Birds had pooped all over, it was just sad. I actually didn't notice that at first since the wind was so strong. So to sum it up: food, service, patio and bathroom all sucked. Carl's Jr. is generally a safe choice for me. I consider it the best of the burger chains, along with its sister chain Hardees back east. No pretense, and rarely do I hear about anything wrong with the food on the news. My buddy and I had been at the skate park and I needed a place to warm up and find something that I'd like to eat. This was the easy choice, even though it's next to I-5, and we needed to return to the skate park. We were greeted by an employee opening the door. I think that they saw that we managed to miss there not being a door out front. Just after we entered, we were greeted by another employee behind the counter. Generally, Carl's Jr., for me, is a more expensive place to eat, especially compared to Hardee's which had good and smaller sandwiches also. Thankfully, this was a Green Burrito location. I ended up with a Burrito Mexicano combo meal and my buddy got a 5 piece chicken strips/tenders/nuggets/whatever they are this week, and a drink. After getting our drinks, I stopped to use the restroom. When I returned, the food had already been delivered. The burrito and fries were fairly warm, but not quite hot. My buddy was mentioning that his 5 piece chicken pack had more than 5 pieces. The last time I got one of those chicken strip combos, in Delano, they were so small that they would have made one Popeye's Chicken Tender, so I'm glad he got more than enough. Never again. My tacos were too greasy and I asked for tomatoes and there were none on my tacos. The meat, for me, was too spicy. The chicken sandwich was burnt and had too many dill pickles for me. I took most of them off. Who wants to eat a sour dill taste over the chicken taste? I took a picture of the sandwich for proof. We were already on the road and I couldn't take it back. Let me just start by saying I neverr leave reviews ever but I made a Yelp for this specific Carl's Jr to let everyone know what just happened. So me and my coworker are on our lunch break and decide to stop here. I ordered a large gaucomle burger meal and my coworker just a spicy chicken sandwich. My meal came out to be over $22 and when we asked her why so much she didn't know what to say so I just said change it to a medium. She agreed and continued to take the money from my coworker. He noticed he was charged to add on lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and cheese which should ALREADY come with the spicy chicken sandwich. What chicken sandwich anywhere only has buns and chicken ? So I give her $20 for my medium meal and she wraps the change in the receipt and hands me my food and as we're about to leave she asks us if we can leave a good review because so many other customers we're leaving bad reviews for the prices being suspiciously high and they trying to charge people for things that already come on the burgers/sandwiches. So we found that odd. Anyways we had already left before I noticed that the medium meal I ordered I was still charged for a large and she kept all the change. We came here between 12:55am-1am through the drive thru. We told him to give us a few minutes then when we finally decided to order the employee says they don't have any sodas. Suggested that they have bottle water, coke bottle and shakes. We asked if that will be extra, he says "yes I will charge you extra for the drink" I asked why? You just said your out of soda but not willing to substitute it with no extra charge? He did not respond and we heard him whispering "haha their not coming" to his fellow co-worker. We drove off and we looked at the drive thru window the worker is a hefty Hispanic man. Disciplinary action is definitely needed as this employee clearly wants to work for free.
