So I wanna say last night I went to this Carl's Jr. in Porterville and it was after a very, very terrible long hour and a half wait to not even get fed at the palace, the kitchen and craft bar in Porterville . I was saying we went to Carl's Jr.. Yes it's a fast food place, but we walked in there and we talked to one of the ladies that worked there and she put a smile on her face. She took all our worries away from the palace, I mean, I mean, yeah it's just simple as that but this place is great. I would recommend it anytime you wanna go to a great happy place go to this one. Gave it 1 star cause there is not a negative one. We just wanted a criss cut fries and in drive thru asking for them. The cashier was not very nice at all, answered irritated DO YOU WANT WAFFLE FRIES OR FRIES SR. at this point I'm the passenger saying oh wow let's go! Why is she mad, yo make sure she heard me. My friend decides to still wait for the fries to see is she would changer her attitude. If I can give this place a negative 1 I would... Today is my 1st time coming to this store I ordered a #2 meal with a a famous star burger total was about $23 when I drive up to the window I handed my card to the young lady in the window .. she hands me my receipt & she charged the people behind me which was $37 . I told her and she said she was going to refund it back to my card... when I get home .. I have 2 charges on my credit card.. my $23 & the $37 from the car behind me... I call the manager Rosa asap & her excuse was oh we don't do card refunds and I have the money right here.. not to mention all my food was cold by the 20-30 minutes I waited at the window ... all she said was she got side tracked ... what a shame . Literally just got into town and was looking forward to a good quick meal after a 3 hour drive. Went to another establishment first but saw this Carl's Jr. and was excited to get my #3 - Western bacon cheeseburger combo. We placed 3 orders. All mediums. Out of all the drinks, they got 1 right. Completely wrong drinks and wrong size for the other 2. I let it go because I was so hungry. We then asked for ranch for our meals. They gave us 2 at first and then 1 more after we asked for more. We asked if we could get more and they said they're limited to how much ranch they give out. Seriously?! So we can't enjoy our meal that we paid for because you can't give us more ranch?! Mind you, there's 4 orders of sandwiches, 2 orders of fries and an order of zucchini. And 3 ranches between 4 people. So disappointed. Inconveniently going to the grocery store across the street now to get ranch so we can enjoy our meal. I wish I wasn't able to give them 1 star because I am utterly disappointed, unhappy and don't even want to eat this anymore because of the disappointing customer service. Drive through employees cannot get an order correct. Every time we order we get something different like a whole different combo, 2 drinks when we order 1, etc. When you ask the employee to correct the order they basically tell you to go park out front and you are now going to wait longer than all the cars behind you for your food. Avoid this nightmare "slow and wrong" food place at all costs. read more

Food is normally pretty good, but a couple of the mangers need a attitude adjustment. I stood at the counter for about 5 mins before anyone noticed me, but what really got me was when I was eating a manger walked buy another employee and told her when she was don't doing what she was doing to sweep, and clean the tables as I have watched this employee do most of the work as the manager just stood there doing nothing. Went here about 9pm and there were a couple of people before me waiting for their food. Since there was only 3 workers service was slow, but not too slow. I got my order within 10 minutes and it was delicious. Maybe they can add more workers on certain days to make service faster. read more

Today I go to Carl's Juniors and I get the double western bacon burger and before we can go and order in the drive-thru it took like 20 minutes just for them to get one guy's order no one was in front of him so was just this one guy and when we finally go up there I get my order and everything it costed like 12 bucks just for one person and it was overpriced well to go on when I open my food and everything my burger was really really greasy and my fries were too but my fries were fresh am I so didn't taste like it was off brand it taste like the real thing but they were just overpriced and they took too long to get to order other than that besides it being greasy it was good read more

I used to like going to Carls Jr ever since it opened in 2009. Sometimes around February or March 2016, one day I was at the drive thru ordering what I wanted and then I went to the window and gave them my card to complete the payment. The server came to me and told me that the card system was down and ask me "If I had cash on me"? and I said "I have no cash on me." After that effect, I cancelled the order but I paid my drink with little cash on for under 3 bucks... My question is "Why weren't any notices of card system went down?" They were ill-prepared for everything for not checking their computer system. Manager on duty should had been responsible for the lack of prepareness and lack of notice to customers. I have not went back to Carl's in Porterville since then and I will not go back there again until Porterville gets another Carl's Jr... Porterville's Carls' Jr is a boycott for me... no regrets... As much as I love Carl's Jr. for being halfway decent made burgers that are more common, the service completely ruins the rest of the food and spoils it for me. Sometimes when going through the 'drive-thru' I just want to go back home and expect everything to be there. But quite frankly, this will be the seventh time they got my order wrong in some way, last time they got my burger choice wrong completely. And the service you get when you ask for your actual meal even when they got it wrong in the first place, you have plenty of proof, and not one part of the wrong meal even touched yet, is absolutely churlish. Their service is halfway done and I didn't get one sincere "Sorry" at the very least of my expectations. Kristen made our trip spectacular. And I don't often leave reviews. She was extremely kind and sweet joking and teasing everyone in line, the hard-of-hearing elderly to the non-english speaking hispanics. Not only did she cashier, she expedited for drive-thru and delivered food In the lobby. She did all of this in an adorable hopping skipping running way that you couldn't help but smile. She was so genuinely kind and cheerful I would come back just to see the smiles on everyone's face in the packed lobby. She is the epitome of what a dedicated happy efficient worker I is.
