The food is so disgusting. The burger patty was burnt (peep my pictures). The bread was stale and cold. I took a few bites and couldn't get myself to finish anything. The only good thing was probably, maybe the Crisscut fries, maybe. It was super hard to hear the drive thru worker because the speaker was quiet. So when we pulled up to the window, I had her repeat the order and it was completely incorrect. This should have been the first red flag. Saw a commercial for the new angus prime rib burger and wrap for the prime rib burger. Went to Carls Jr, mind you I haven't been to a carls in over 20 years.. but when I saw this commercial it got me and I had to have a Prime Rib wrap. The pictures can tell 1000 words! When I got my burger it was lacking the main ingredient, no prime rib. The onion rings were just the breading without any onion. The burger patty itself was burnt and over cooked. Man. Paid over $9 for TWO FRIES(large regular and a waffle-cut), and nothing else. I know cost of goods are going up everywhere, but dang!! I would've gotten over the price- if the waffle cut fries weren't completely cold... I work in fast food. I REALLY don't mind eating not-fresh fries. I went against my own decision of never returning to this location...bad decision. I wanted to try this new all star box for 5 bucks. 1. I got 22 French fries not boxed bit just tossed in to the big box. They were cold and chewy. 2. Hot dog was good on its own. I know this because I ate it on its own after taking a bite. The bun was so hard and chewy, I had to discard it. 3. The cheeseburger is supposed to come with onion and pickle. This had neither. Meat, cheese and a bun. 4. The cookie was good! Ugh. Waited for a few minutes to order despite multiple employees coming and going without taking the order of 4 other people in front of me. No big deal...finally get to order and Francisco couldn't take my order without interrupting me. He asks if I need a receipt and I say no because what could go wrong? Simple order...Western with no cheese and a chocolate shake..he brings my order to the table and guess what? No shake. Tl;dr: Worker forgot to enter in our drive thru order, left out an item from a meal, and refused to give us a receipt. Drive through on Sunday evening at about 9pm. Ordered a meal with a large fry and bottled water, a spicy chicken sandwich, and a small fry. My husband had to repeat the order three times to the guy. Then when we're finally got to the window, he tried to give us what must have been the food of the car behind us. When we told him what we ordered, he entered it into the register. So our order never got put it in in the first place. He asked if we wanted a receipt, we said yes. We got the bottled water and then had to wait for the food since the order had only just been entered. Finally a different guy hands us a bag and quickly closes the window and disappears. Didn't ask if we wanted any sauces. Still didn't get a receipt. We always check the bag to make sure the whole order is there before we leave. My husband's large fry was missing. There was no one at the window, so we honked a little to get their attention. The second guy comes back. We tell him we're missing a large fry and our receipt. He looks at a screen and says he needs to ask the other worker. When he comes back a minute later, he tells us to pull around and he'll bring the large fry out. We pulled around and waited, but he didn't seem to be coming out any time soon. My husband went in and asked for his fries. The guy hadn't even started to put the fries in a container yet. I went to the one on del paso blvd. I had the 3 piece breaded chicken breast and fried okra. The chicken tasted like it had been refried in old cooking oil. The okra tasted like they dug it out of the bottom of the freezer after sitting many years. Horrible!! Won't be going back there!! read more

It's a Carl's Jr. The usual food and building. I would like to comment on the woman, Maria, who was working the drive though. She was sincerely wonderful. My family and I had been on a long 9 hour drive and had stopped for the night at a nearby hotel. Carl's Jr. was next door so we walked over to get dinner. Due to Covid-19 the dining room was closed. We had to walk through the drive through. When I got up to the window I was tired and a bit grouchy. Maria was there with a smile so big I could see it under her mask. She was so sweet and friendly. Went to the Carl's on west El Camino because its location is convent to my home. This time I got napkins and a receipt (only because I asked for it) with my order. I always have to be careful with this location and check my order to make sure it is correct. So I'm ready to place my order when I drive up to the window. The first words out of the order takers mouth were "Hi I'm --- would you like to try our Carl's Prime Rib burger?" Of course my brain is short circuited and it takes me longer than usual to place my order. But I think I got my order communicated, including that I'm a senior and would like any appropriate discount. To which I got the reply I'll give you the discounted price when you pull up. When I get up to the window they clear up that I wanted a beyond burger and then took my money a moment later. A few moments later they come back with my meal and change I request a receipt and it is given. When I get home the meal is pretty much what I ordered except: 1) Very little ice, when I made a point I'd like them to fill the container with ice. 2) No senior discount was applied, if this location does not give a senior discount they should have told me.
