My personal favorites are the ham and gruyère baguette and the Pizza Florentine, and their cookies are dangerously good. And if you're a coffee person, you'll be happy here -- their espressos, lattes, and cappuccinos are consistently great. It was basically just whipped bananas with chocolate and walnuts in it. Raw ice cream, if you will. Because you asked, I'll tell you: One of the reasons why I don't like ice cream is because it's like eating cold mucus. There, I said it! The only exception is if the ice cream has "stuff" in it to give it some texture and crunch. Some of the gelato flavors at GelatoLove had stuff in them, which was nice to see. I almost got a berry cheesecake job, but it was too smooth. Mostly, this gelato place is for smooth mouth-feel lovers, as GelatoLove prides itself on the smoothness of their gelato. They will give you samples, so feel free to try out some flavors that sound intriguing. I tried a spicy chocolate, which was weird and wonderful. There are some nice seating options in the shop. But there are also lots of places to sit and eat your gelato outdoors, whether it's the tables right outside of the entrance, or the many places to sit in Carlsbad Village Faire, where GelatoLove is located.

Also really liked the vanilla with cherries in it. They use allulose, an alternative sugar as their sweetener. Supposed to be less caloric and less impact on blood sugar. This is not just a donut shop. This is a legacy…read more My husband grew up riding his bike all the way from Del Mar as a kid, risking life, limb, and probably traffic laws, just for a hot glazed chocolate donut. That kind of dedication tells you everything you need to know about these donuts. Decades later, our cousins drive them 3 hours to Los Angeles like precious cargo for the family to enjoy when they come to visit. A donut. 3 hours in a car. Still incredible. Some things are just built different. Our cousins are hero's! Only one complaint, they are not open late, which is truly a crime against everyone with late night munchies and poor decision making skills. The world needs VG Donuts at midnight. I reached out to Crimson cakes for a tasting and I was able to get a box of samples before making my decision. In the end I selected 3 mini cupcakes (strawberry pistachio, red velvet, and black and white), fruit tarts, and chocolate mousse baskets. The desserts not only tasted amazing but they looked incredible and were decorated to match my wedding colors. I also got a cutting cake which was black berry lime flavored. My husband and I love this cake and we still can't stop thinking about it. We will have to go back to get this cake for another special occasion. The Crimson Cake did an amazing job providing great tasting desserts on time for the wedding. I would highly recommend this bakery for any events.

I was overwhelmed and the lady in front was patient and helpful. I grabbed a sausage roll for myself. I grabbed a box of treats for my team. Which I did have a sampling of as well.
