Cute cafe
Carole B.

The mushroom, potato, kale quiche was delicious and a generous portion. It was served with a little salad with delicious fresh dressing. The pecan sticky bun was divine for dessert. We asked the barista to out on the fireplace and she kindly obliged. The dining area was cozy and rustic and the view of the Main Street made for great people watching.

If you get the BLT check it before you take a bite. The 2 puny strips of bacon were raw, as in the white fat was still white. Mostly baguette for a $15 sandwich. I called to tell them about this and ask for a refund (I took the sandwich to eat at home). I did send them a picture so they could see. I was told they would investigate and get back to me. When I reached out day and half later after not hearing back they said they had refunded my money. They did give me my money back when I asked but I didn't sense they were overly concerned. Told me even though the bacon was "undercooked" they do lots of other things well. As others mentioned only saw teenagers working and they didn't seem real knowledgable. I think it's great kids are working but need to have an adult to supervise.

"Avocado" toast

Came here every morning we were in town for pastries and every single one was delicious. The croissants are buttery and flavorful, and the scones have interesting flavors and the perfect texture. Cannot recommend coming here highly enough to start your day with pastries and coffee. On our last day we decided to have a sit-down breakfast. Their Apple compote French toast on brioche was delicious. The fruit tasted great on top. The avocado toast was immensely disappointing. We were fairly confident that the avocado was not fresh and had come from a pre-puréed container. Staff members were always friendly. Even when full it wasn't too loud. Highly recommend for pastries and coffee, not so sure about the full breakfast.

Ham Croissant sandwich

Came here for brunch and loved it. Got an assortment of baked goods - the pecan sticky (yum), sea biscuit (YUM), and a lemon poppyseed bun (AMAZING). I had a ham croissant sandwich with a salad that was tasty, and my wife had a brie/prosciutto croissant smorgasbord that she loved. Also got a vanilla latte (my only complaint was they put it in to-go cups despite knowing I was dining in). Our server was really helpful with recommendations, and the ambiance both inside and on the back patio was really lovely. All in all, we loved the visit and will definitely come back.

French Macarons

Still some of the best macarons around! We compare all others we try to Carlton Bakery. We have been coming here for many many years, even before we moved to Oregon. We used to make sure we would drive out here when we would come to visit family throughout the years. So glad they have been able to expand their little bakery shop to a bigger location across the street from the old location. It was such a beautiful day outside we grabbed our treats and walked across the street to sit in the park and enjoy them in the sunshine. They now offer a larger variety of local favorite jams, jellies, marmalades and olive oils. They have coffee and tea drinks as well. They do have an outside eating area out back.

Great little place to eat. The new building is modern and very nice, and the outdoor patio is wonderful.

stunningly beautiful goods, friendly faces... Cinnamon croissant and the Pain du Matin are drool-inducing. And the coffee is always perfect.

Every single person I've interacted with has been so incredibly kind, so don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. They have a full coffee menu, make their own syrups, and often have an employee special that's fun to try! Don't skip a drink! They also offer an array of pastries and bread. I love their almond croissant, even though it's not usually my first choice. There are so many layers and it's so flavorful. I'm also a big fan of their breakfast sandwich, mostly because it comes on a croissant. Honestly, you can't go wrong here. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try next time you are in the area, you won't regret it. And heads up that they also have a spot at the Orenco Farmers market so you can grab pastries there as well!

The turkey bagel was made from fresh ingredients and well packed, it was a delicious way to start the day! While I was exploring more of Forest Grove I was thinking back to what I was charged, thinking it was a quite a bit more than my last visit here, and I did look back at the menu and realize I was charged double for my half loaf ($9 for a half loaf of bread). I totally understand mistakes happen, I went back and the staff were very helpful in finding my order and refunding me the amount I was over charged. Can't wait to try more from Slow Rise!

My Petite Sweet, opens at 8 am so you don't have to wake up at the crack- of -dawn afraid of them selling out of items you want vs. sleeping in on your vacation. They close at 3pm so you have time on the way home from whatever day's activities you were doing, to pick up some dessert for an after dinner treat. My Petite Sweet is a great stop for quick, sweet or savory ready-to-eat breakfast items. The employees will ask you if you want your items warmed up and are more than happy to do that for you. There are several tables and chairs available if you wish to enjoy your items on-site... ...but THIS is where My Petite Sweet SHINES ABSOLUTELY ABOVE-THE-REST: Upon entering, you will be greeted by a HUMONGOUS refrigerated case that is remeniscent to me of the magic and excitement I felt as a child imagining finding the "Golden Ticket" and touring "Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! " My Petite Sweet has an ENDLESS array of YUMMY confectionery so tempting you just want to tell the employee, "I'll take one of everything," because it's so hard to choose. Most of My Petite Sweet's items are little masterpieces so beautifully decorated you hate to ruin them by biting into them! Once you do, however, you experience the taste of something so INCREDIBLY SCRUMPTIOUS you will ALWAYS make this your first stop when you arrive in Lincoln City, or perhaps even making My Petit Sweet your reason for traveling to LC in the first place! I'm glad I live 90 min away or I would be here every day to try something new. Of the many items I've tried, I have enjoyed each one! On each trip I discover a new favorite (or two, or three! ) My Petite Sweet's portions are huge, the prices are reasonable, and the employees are friendly and helpful. Also, don't be afraid to stock up on your trip. The employees pack the items individually, and they stay very fresh in the fridge. ENJOY!

The earthquake cake was fabulous; it was not a soft cake, it was very dense and full of rich chocolate, cream cheese and chocolate chips . It was extremely filling. The two women who helped us were very polite and very patient as we took forever to choose from their delicious options. They had a massive selection of treats. A true sweet-treat paradise. The ambiance reminds me of the old candy shops I would go to on the Oregon coast, which brought back fond memories. It would be helpful if, instead of a large sign that said 'bakery,' it had the business name. Nonetheless, this place was great, and we will definitely be back.
