Super cute, cozy coffee shop. I had their lavender and white mocha iced coffee and it was SOOO good!! My mom and I shared a slice of their cinnamon coffee cake which was soft, crumbly and deliciously sweet. They give you a sign to bring your order to the table if they don't serve you straight from the counter and the cake didn't take long to arrive. I love finding unique coffee shops with a variety of options for when I need a caffeinated bevy! Too bad this one is so far away, because I'd be a regular if it were closer! read more

Always enjoy going here except this time the music was so loud at 11:00 a.m. on a Wednesday that you couldn't even hear the person you were sitting with at your table. So we had to move outside. I brought my skim cappuccino with me and sat and talked to my friend where we could hear each other. I still like the vibe here - you can bring your laptop and work on it at the table. The big water jug needed to be refilled so I told the manager and the restroom was filthy (there was water all over the floor). Usually it is kept in a better manner. That first sip of coffee was absolute HEAVEN!! So creamy and such a smooth flavor! We stopped by here close to closing and ordered a few lattes. Service was quick and friendly and myyyy goodness can they make a great latte! If they weren't about to close we would've ordered back up lattes for when we finished the first ones. We also got a muffin which they heated and it was DELICIOUS! On the way out I had to grab a T-shirt- because who doesn't LOVE coffee shop T-shirts?! Especially for only $12! To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I ordered pick up and asked for the Breakfast Avocado Toast which in other photos you can see comes with cheese and bacon and a poached egg. I asked for sunny side up instead which I was told they couldn't do. So I asked for scrambled. When I opened the container with the toast, I was shocked. No cheese, no bacon, and the egg looks like the egg you get for free breakfast from a Days Inn. On top of all of that, no taste. No seasoning. Not even salt. Forgot to mention the hot chocolate tastes like soap. For how expensive this was, I won't ever go back to this location. The Ft. Lauderdale location was much better. I've been a regular customer and stopped by recently for an iced latte and a pan bono. I stayed for about two hours working on my computer, and during that time, there were only three other people in the café. To my surprise, the staff member told me the owner said I needed to order something else or I would have to leave. This used to be a R1 coffee. Now it is Carmela Coffee Company, and they have really brought their menu and drink selection up a notch, let alone their seating selection and power outlets. I will need to return to try one of their panini sandwiches or avocado toast options because they sounded awesome per the description. They have a lot of tables and seating to hang with friends, work remotely, study, contemplate existence, record in your diary, read a book, plan world domination, and more. I enjoyed their lemonade tea beverage that was super refreshing. Especially where I had been having coffee all day, this beverage was a nice change of pace. Spent the morning here studying/working and I already cannot wait to come back. Where do I even begin? I'll start with the ambience. This place is gorgeous! There are massive windows, which make it not only feel huge, but also bring in amazing natural sunlight. The whole space is nice and airy. It's also decorated so tastefully and beautifully. There are huge tables and many many chairs, as well as outlets. It's perfect to sit down and work for a few hours, or meet up with some friends. Next, the coffee. I had an iced latte with oat milk and sugar free caramel syrup. It was so delicious! The espresso was full-bodied and wasn't too acidic. It was truly perfect. I also loved that they had many flavors and also many sugar free flavors (vanilla, caramel and hazelnut). I can't speak for the food, because I didn't try it, but it looked and smelled delicious - especially the avocado toast (which a woman next to me LOVED), and the yummy pastries. made the trip here of all locations because it looked spacious -- and can confirm. very importantly, there were outlets below most of the seats. this is a great place to spend a chunk of your day working, studying, or just hanging out! food options are a plenty, whether you're looking for something savory or sweet -- breakfast, lunch, snack, or dessert. i was impressed with the presentation of the burrata & prosciutto avocado toast, and even more so with the taste. the nutella croissant and churros were also delightful, although maybe a little heavy on the nutella for my taste. whatever dough or bread they use on their stuff though, it's amazing. a mouthwatering balance of crispy and soft. i was also happy with the creative latte flavors they offered. i got a peppermint patty latte, and i appreciated that it didn't taste extremely sweet like a starbucks peppermint mocha would. also appreciated the friendly service and how they bring your order to your table when they're not super busy! read more

Absolutely LOVED this place! I placed my order over the phone just before heading out to pick it up. I was a little early, so I was able to sit and take a look around the shop. It was cutely decorated, and I could see myself sitting in one of the comfy chairs enjoying a cup of coffee while working. The staff was super friendly, and everyone that walked in was warmly welcomed. It made me get the sense that this was a community coffee shop that people loved coming to. I can definitely see why after getting to enjoy my coffee and breakfast at home. I really liked their cold brew, and appreciated the barista making a fresh pot for me. The breakfast avocado toast was out of this world! It was so filling, but so tasty! The egg was cooked to perfection, and the yoke oozed out over the top. Even though there was avocado, egg, bacon, and egg on top, the toast never got soggy! My boyfriend also really loved his bagel with salmon! If it wasn't for Yelp Takeout Week, I would have never found out about this coffee joint. I made a visit to get my coffee fix and a bite to eat. The place is cute and very homey for the ones that want to sit inside as well as limited outdoor seating is available due to social distancing. There's a check in offer going on during the takeout week at certain locations from Boca Raton to Hallandale. Check the list on the website and/or the app for further details. It was 30% off and I tipped on top of it for great service. Weehoo for saving some bucks! ;) The macchiato and the breakfast avocado toast was amazing! The coffee did the trick for the fix and the toast had a topping of avocado, poached egg, cheddar cheese, and bacon. This is something that I normally would not order and I am so glad I went out of my comfort zone to give this bad ass a chance. Even though there was only one staff member working in the front and another one in the back, it wasn't too long of a wait. The coffee came out quick and the food was worth the wait. I found this place as I was visiting a spa in the same plaza. It has a different vibe than most coffee shops with light wood tables and chairs, a long bench and chairs, a cozy corner by a tall shelf of books and decor, and exposed wood ceiling beams and ducts. At first it was quiet, but as it got busy, it got quite loud . I ordered the Salmon Avo toast with a poached egg on top and a cup of coffee. I was a bit taken back when the charge for said salmon-avo toast alone was $15.50 however, it's worth it as they pack on the avocado and tons of smoked salmon.. I mean tons! Oh and the coffee tastes awesome with free refills ! So why 4 stars and not 5? I would have like the poached egg to be hot and not cold and mostly bc the sound level is more than I expected and other people's conversation are carried out loud and clear .. must be the acoustics in the place. I was in Boca and needed a place to grab a cup of joe and a bite to eat, and Carmela caught my eye. Stepping in, it felt like a millennial paradise: exposed wood everywhere, ample seats next to outlets, recognizable music, and a variety of seating options (tables, benches, comfy chairs, etc). I had to wait in line for a little bit because there was only one barista, but it was only a couple minutes. I ordered a latte and a bacon and Brie panini. The food options all looked delicious on the board! The latte came out quickly and was good. The food took a little longer, but the place was packed and I think there was only one cook in back as well. The sandwich was very flavorful, but there was SO. MUCH. BREAD. And it takes a lot for me to complain about bread lol. There wasn't a lot of topping in the middle, and the bread was like an inch and a half thick. I pulled off the top and ate it open-faced, and it was still too much bread-to-toppings ratio. It also came with a little arugula, tomato, and balsamic on the side. The barista was super quick and very friendly, so I was pleased with the service. Overall, I would like to come back and hang out again! From the friendly staff, delicious bites and delectable drinks, it can be hard deciding on what exactly you want. Everything inside was super clean, even the tables had bottles of hand sanitizer. I ended up having the arugula Parmesan avocado toast on a piece of warmed rustic bread. The portion was on the bigger side, but with a delicious piece of bread like that, I found myself eating the whole thing. My drink of choice was the iced matcha not sweetened with oat milk. Perhaps next time I may get sweetener put in. Either way it was amazing. Definitely I will be back to try the other drinks and food. read more

I love Carmela Coffee and I'm there often. Went last Monday during Yelp takeout week and I got an extra 30% off so you can't beat that! Just go to your Yelp app and check in and the coupon comes right up. It was the middle of the afternoon and there were quite a few people inside. Tables were separated and distanced. They have free wifi and most of the customers had laptops so I'm sure people are getting tired of working from home and just need a nice, place to relax, hangout and get some work done. I ordered an Iced latte and a couple of cookies to go. The chocolate chip cookies are amazing. Homemade with lots of thick chocolate chip chunks. The Iced lattes are fabulous. A large has 4 shots of espresso! Today's was good too, but they ran out of ice and the server didn't know until he went to make the drink. He was really nice, apologized and offered to make me something else, but it was ok, the milk was really cold so it was fine. Can't wait for Covid to be over. I really miss meeting my friends at Carmelas and just hanging out with some great coffee and my favorite salmon avocado toast! read more

The coffee cost $4, if you choose to drink it in a mug, it's not much coffee but you do get a cute design. Alternative milk options cost around $0.75 cents. The latte cost $4.00 and it was good even better with some sugar. It wasn't worth the cost. The food, however, is huge and DELICIOUS!! Well worth the $10 price tag. For two sandwiches and two coffees I paid around $34. Very expensive, but I would do it again. There was only one person working the front and yet he was able to make the coffee quick. If you like to try different coffee shops I recommend giving this one a shot. The coffee might not blow your mind, but the food will. read more

I love supporting this local coffee place. I pass by often so the location is convenient though I've learned they have other locations too. They have a decent sized Menu that gives brunch vibes. They have many flavors for your coffee which is fun. I tried a special last time with vanilla and white chocolate. So good. Next time I want to try one of their avo toasts! I'm always rushing in and out for a quick coffee to go but it's a totally cute place to sit down and relax for a little.
