We came here for breakfast while we waited for our car to be serviced. The servers are friendly and our food was brought out fast and tasted great. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I would highly recommend. I will definitely return if I am ever in the area again.

Impromptu breakfast and lunch stop following church service. Located across from Classic Kia & Toyota, classic decor & cafe for a nice early meal. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with selections. It did not disappoint. Thank you!

Love the crepes here and they usually prepared them right but today, Oh I Ordered crepes with ice cream and glazed strawberries, I received none, instead just plain strawberries, I paid extra for the 2 toppings, I would like a refund. Very disappointed.

Borderline nearly a five, as my recent revisit to Carmen's made me practically change my mind about how I rated the breakfast eatery. Though the pricing still is a prominent issue regarding how I would rank the restaurant, nevertheless top, notch service, excellent quality concerning my recent order, and a pleasant all-around experience. This time, I got myself a complicated request for the chef, the Guacamole Wrap, with some adjustments. And sure enough, the staff and chefs were more than willing to accommodate. Additionally, my colleagues noted that despite the timely delivery of our food, it was not exchanged for the quality of our meals, and my dish was well delicious. The side of fruit could use some improvement, as a mere two slices of melon, two grapes, and a slice of orange barely scrape by if you ask me. However, the wrap itself more than made up for the meal and was the star of the lunchtime that knocked it out of the park. I will say this revisit has redeemed Carmen's for me, and I will aware this a solid four stars, but I doubt I would be a regular when the bill for four guests does not amount to 88.00 yet I digress very great experience- 8.5/10

I usually love Emily's and would give a 5 Star for their breakfast but their quality has gone downhill for the price of their food. The atmosphere is just a generic dining. It is breakfast spot opened until 2pm. We were sat right away and our waitress was friendly and got to our table right away, granted we went on a non busy morning. If you go on a Saturday or Sunday be prepared for a wait. I ordered the Greek skillet which was pretty tasty one of my favorite breakfast items. I got a side of mini waffles but they were burnt and any amount of syrup could not fix it. Their strawberry orange is is my must have when I go but this time around it was just okay. Maybe they were having an off day. I'll give them another chance though.

We visited for tea with some adults and children this weekend…read more The room near the patio is gorgeous (the inner room is more on the cozy side). We were quickly seated with a reservation and the tables were lovely - gorgeous wedgewood china (even for the kids!). Greeted with prosecco for adults and sparkling juice for the kids. Service was really friendly and helpful with tea selections. There are about 4 options for children if they want tea as well. Food was good and there was a tower for the kids (their the older child at our table wanted the adult sandwiches...). Plenty of sandwiches and sweets. The scone actually was the standout though - orange cranberry - very soft and delicious. Customary lemon curd, jelly and cream - delicious. All in all, this was a nice, fancy time for tea but there were some negatives namely: no one ever asked if we wanted more drinks (I would have had a glass of champagne but no one returned or asked - I could have flagged someone down but was surprised at this level of hotel that service wasn't so helpful). We also felt rushed - I would have stayed longer to enjoy but get they were cleaning up our table quickly. Instead, we brought some of the treats to go. While the staff was friendly, they weren't really there a lot - I saw some tables get asked if they wanted more sandwiches - but we did not... and it wasn't because we had kids at the table because I'd say at the time we went, more than 50% of the tables had kids with them. We did get a nice little to go gift of tea, chocolate and a tea strainer. I'm conflicted upon returning just due to feeling rushed.... I always go for tea once a year at least and I've been to every fancy hotel in the city (and other restaurants) for tea and multiple hotels in Europe (Ireland, England) and this was the most European feeling but really felt less relaxed even though the surroundings were gorgeous.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it wasn't for me…read more The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived, yet we were told they were "fully committed" because we didn't have a reservation. It made the experience feel impersonal from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was very dark and gothic, which may appeal to some people, but it didn't feel warm or inviting to us. Between the unwelcoming first impression and the overall vibe, it's just not a place I would choose to visit again. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be back.

There's no word to describe the incredible service and experience we had here today :)…read more We were scheduled for the Bears Camp but it was canceled due to the weather. We wanted to grab breakfast since we drove an hour up to hit the camp and found this amazing gem! We weren't the only ones, many other folks who experienced the cancellation of the Bears Camp had the same idea! lol it was PACKED! I can't recall our hostess' name but she was a beautiful soul and so kind to us as we waited patiently for a seat. It was a 90 minute wait so we walked around a bit and killed time. When we got back, we still had a wait but a group of ladies said they just left the bar and we could walk up. We did and saw the hostess to ask if we could eat there and she said yes. Definitely worth the wait! We sat at the bar and Dani, our server was FANTASTIC! So kind, helpful and gave great advice on what to order since it was our first time. We ordered the biscuits OMG the best thing ever! We added the homemade jam and it was the chefs kiss! We had the hazelnut latte and French Madeline latte. Both were delicious! I got an omelette with sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese and chicken sausage. It came with a choice of a bread item and I chose pancakes hubby got eggs sausage with French toast. The portions were HUGE! We were full off the biscuits lol but ate some of our meal and then packed it up to go and had it for dinner lol It's a cute farm inspired restaurant and very family friendly. We absolutely loved the staff. Dani, our waitress was a real Doll! Genuinely kind and so personal and attentive. Steve and Chris, the management team was absolutely above board and we so enjoyed chatting with them. They made us feel so welcomed! Thank you! We can't wait to return!

I was raised in a bakery so take that with this review. Biscuits are my go-to. With a name like…read moreButtermilk, there is a level of expectation involved to living up to that name. It did not. The restaurant has a lovely aesthetic with the clean black on white patterns throughout. The open floor carries the noise so don't expect much with that. Even though I was the first person seated for the day, service was not great. When I ordered my breakfast (ham and cheese omelette with honey biscuit and a buttermilk biscuit on the side, the honey biscuit came, but after waiting for about 10 minutes, I had to flag down the manager to get my buttermilk biscuit. No refill on my drink either. The omelette was fine. It was a folder omelette and the flavor was pretty good. The biscuits are such: the honey biscuit is a drop biscuit with a slight taste of a honey glaze on top. It was fairly dense as most drop biscuits are. The buttermilk biscuit was just a folded biscuit, but it looks like it was folded at most twice. Here is the thing with folded biscuits, if you over mix the dough, it doesn't expand. If you don't use frozen butter, it won't lighten and create the necessary steam. Then you have a dense brick of biscuits dough. If you don't make your own buttermilk, you'll end up without the slight tang buttermilk is known for. I don't think Buttermilk lives up to the name. For me, it was a disappointment. I had high hopes.
