I drove by this pop-up coffee truck half a dozen times over the past few months and knew I had to try it. Carmen's Coffee Company is a Long Beach food truck serving up caffeinated beverages and pastries. Each Saturday they pop up at the local Naples carwash and offer takeout for the locals. I ordered the iced lemon meringue latte. A dessert style latte, topped with lemon cold foam. The drink was yummy, but tasted more like syrup than espresso. When I got home I added an extra espresso shot and it did the trick. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu! I might just avoid the more dessert like drinks. read more

We have seen this food truck every time we pass by the detailing shop that is right behind it and we decided to go here and have some food. I wanted the food to be so good and we ordered a ham sandwich and a vegetarian option. The cheese in both of them as very dense and the sandwich didn't taste much. The service was quick and they have a couple of tables next to the truck where we sat. Cool atmosphere on second street but the food was definitely not the best. Not sure if I will come back. Coffee truck located in Long Beach with a unique menu! This place caught my eye cause of the unique flavors that you won't find in most coffee places. I tried their Spanish Mocha, House latte and a custom banana mocha frappe and they were all average. The coffee is watery and is missing that deep aromatic flavor. The Spanish Mocha is not your typical Spanish latte and was strangely spicy. I couldn't drink more than a sip. Also, I couldn't detect the mocha flavor in this drink. For the banana mocha frappe and house latte, there wasn't much flavor. Service was good and they were quick to make the drinks. There isn't a parking lot designated for this coffee shop as far as I know however you can park on the street. read more

Lately, I have been more intentional with my coffee intake and have stepped away from the commercial, sugary crap that you find on every corner. La Blanca Dura is my absolute favorite. It's so hard to find a beautifully crafted light roast beverage. I like it just the way it's stated on the menu. What a lovely little coffee spot! Came around noon on a Sunday and was helped right away. The customer service was on point and any questions I had were clearly answered. I decided to get their black forest latte as I was intrigued that it's made with real cherries (big cherry lover here) & spanish chocolate. It was absolutely delicious and well balanced and what made it better was that I was able to get it with macadamia milk. It's so rare for places to carry macadamia milk so what a treat that was! My partner got the nitro cold brew with vanilla cream and loved it as well. I also got their huevo prensado to eat which is a pressed croissant with eggs, cheese and ham inside. I love a good croissant sandwich but the panini press detail made it extra divine. There are a couple tables to sit at next to the truck and parking wasn't too bad either. Coffee is absolutely amazing! They have an incredible selection of nondairy creamers and flavors to add to your coffee. Both the coffee and matcha here are delicious! Banana foster coffee is awesome and not too sweet. The matcha with strawberry cream foam is on the sweeter side but the flavors were light and refreshing. Very close walk from the beach makes it convenient for grab and go. I prefer it over going out to a restaurant for breakfast. My absolute favorite is their Chai latte. They have their own proprietary spice blend (which I wish they sold too, because I would buy it for myself and as gifts) that is absolutely delicious! It has a kick from ginger, cinnamon, and more, that is unparalleled. I have tried to recreate it, but can't come close. I also buy the jalepeno quiche in small batches to keep at home and work when I can't make it to the coffee truck. The pastries are all delicious, even the vegan options. The vegan offerings are not dry and boring, they are even kid approved. As a bonus, the truck also travels to events in the area like the Patchwork festival and car shows (even PTA events), and I always line up when I see them. My review is actually on the Carmen's Coffee Truck that is currently parked in front of their up and coming location off Linden & Broadway in East Village. I literally live next door to what will be their new location, my wife & I are patiently waiting for them to open. It was a pleasant surprise to walk outside & see the truck. I was greeted by Kia, very nice, very pleasant & friendly young woman. I decided to go for a coffee since I have a long evening ahead of me. The Cupids Mocha, perfectly infused with Strawberry & Vanilla over ice, had a little sift cake bite of some sort as a spill gaurd (very cute, nice touch). My first drink, my taste buds were dancing, it was amazing! Know why they call it Cupids Mocha, you will fall in love with it. I'm very picky and I had nothing to complain about. The drink I ordered is just a big no so asked if it was like a Frappuccino she said yes it's not the pieces of ice are way to large such an awkward size you have to bite them similar to a snowcone then you're getting frozen butter in your mouth which the first time I thought it was banana that would make sense since I ordered bananas foster blended it goes all over your mouth and sticks to your teeth like wax this drink is just a fail it doesn't make any sense nobody wants a snowcone to drink with frozen butter in it also the straw they provide is not big enough to drink the drink imagine that so I had to go to Starbucks for a spoon and then go buy a toothbrush and toothpaste to get all the butter off my teeth and mouth before work talk about nightmare read more

I always go to Carmen's coffee truck for the iced matcha latte. It has this sort of cinnamon and hint of mint flavor to it. It's different but it's good! They also put this amazing cookie at the top of the drink. I give Carmen's 4 stars instead of 5, just because the drinks are a little overpriced, and because it can really take a while to get your drink. I've sometimes waited almost 20 min. Park right next to Carmen's truck, in the car wash area. I've never had a problem parking there! read more
