Ambiance: it's a corner coffee spot located in a shared plaza with other merchants, takeout place only, few tables outside but no seating inside Service: attentive and friendly staff Drink: standard coffee menu ORIGINAL VIETNAMESE COFFEE - ** the large cup is not fulfilled as large portion, and it tasted so bland and not like Vietnamese coffee Price: middling drink, and over priced for its quality, not worth around $7 per drink

$7 for a couple sips of a large Iced VTM coffee that was mostly ice. Wasn't even filled close to the top with coffee. I took a few sips, and less than a mile down the street it was all gone. Not worth it imo.

I really wanted to have some good matcha einspänner so decided to try out the ones by Blk Dot Coffee. This cafe location is inside of a shopping center with tight parking spaces and availability. I attribute that partially due to the Trader Joe's being so close to it, and the day of the week being Saturday morning. The order was placed online for an in-store pickup. I arrived about 10 minutes prior to the promised ready time and my order was actually ready. The drink itself did not have a very strong matcha flavor I was looking for. It still had a nice mouthfeel to it. I appreciated the cocoa powder dusting on top and the amount of ice being perfect. Many times, these cafes tend to put a huge amount of ice and so little drink to actually sip on. Not here! I also liked witnessing the barista placing my drink in the fridge instead of leaving out on the countertop for me to until I arrived to get it. Many cafes tend to just leave it on the pick-up counter space for someone to accidentally take it or the ice melting half way and getting gross. Something to keep in mind -- there is really no space to sit down and enjoy your drink, socialize, or study. It was quite busy inside the store and the line was long and disorganized. The drinks will become available fairly quickly, but expect the wait time to be a bit on the longer side during the weekend mornings.

I can't over how clean the Cypress location is! And the black couch chairs are perfect for reading. But the hit of today is the Fiesta Bowl! Talk about bag for your buck! This bowl is packed with a variety of feisty ingredients that all come together perfectly. After this and VTM, i am pumped for the day!

Breakfast food is good. Very tasty potatoes! The coffee was good, hot and strong! Service was very quick. Restaurant is cute and clean. Definitely recommend for a coffee and breakfast spot.

I have had plain coffee from this place and it was pretty good but today I wanted to try something different. My friend ordered the matcha latte and I had the oat milk brown sugar cold drink. My friend enjoyed her matcha however mine tasted like a plain iced coffee so I asked for some more of the syrup and then it became too sweet. I had to drink slowly so it wasn't too much for me. I will post again once I try other items.

6/16/25 Hot oat milk latte to go! This spot used to be CBTL a while back, glad it's replaced by another coffee shop that serves up great Java. It's cute, small with just a couple of outdoor seating. Service is friendly & accommodating. My latte was made & I requested for my own container to be filled with hot water first to warm it up so my beverage will keep hot longer. That was very cool for the staff to accommodate. The latte tasted great, rich, deep, dark, the way I like it. Highly recommend

Pretty good Vietnamese coffee! Definitely taste the bitterness of the caffeine which isn't overwhelming, and there's a hint of sweetness from the condensed milk. Definitely worth a try, especially from a chain coffee shop.

Service was amazing. I was welcomed right away by not one but two of the workers. The cashier was friendly and helpful. I got the Tiramisu Latte Einspanner. Plenty of parking and love that there was a Trader Joe's nearby. Any excuse to go into Trader Joe's... lol. Inside was clean. I got my drink in no time. When I went, I was able to order right away... but then a bunch of people started coming in afterwards; it got really busy. My experience was amazing! I liked my drink and the service was awesome. : )

So I have been on a coffee tour in Long Beach and definitely had this spot on the radar. Blk Dot is really small inside. It did get a little crowded when there was a good group waiting for their coffee. They do have a few tables outside, but it was a little chilly and so most of us were waiting inside. I love matcha and jumped at the chance to try their mango Matcha. It was amazing. I don't ordinarily order mango because it can be a little overpowering, but this was perfect. It was a beautiful blend of both Matcha and mango. My boyfriend tried the light Vietnamese coffee, which was also very tasty. Vietnamese coffee can be pretty strong and I'm so glad he got the light version. We did have their breakfast sausage bowl and their breakfast sandwhich. The bowl is huge. We could have shared that and still been equally full. I did take off a star because I have been to a lot of coffee places and i have had some really nice experiences with staff especially when I had questions and I just wasn't getting that vibe from the team here.

I wasn't expecting to pay $10 for a cup of ice today. I couldn't even move my straw the ice was so dense. I see other people are having the same issue too. I don't think I will be back for a while. It's a shame bc I like the location.

I specifically asked for easy ice but 2/3 of the cup is filled with ice. When I told the barista Xender, he gave me an attitude saying they can't do anything about it. not going to come back here.

Bottom Line Up Front: The Crema Cafe is a bakery and…read morerestaurant that will satisfy both your sweet tooth and savory craving -- so long as you don't mind paying a premium. The Food: In the past, I've come only for the dessert, but this review will focus on my most recent visit when my wife and I had brunch here. I ordered the quiche Lorraine, a classic variety that featured ham, cheese, and bacon. It was firm, hearty, and delicious. The wife thought it was a little dry, but then again I like hard boiled eggs and she prefers them runny, so I chalk it up to personal preference. My wife had the breakfast burrito, which was stuffed with all kinds of goodness, including egg, ham, bacon, and chorizo con papa. We both really liked it but thought it had just a hint of sausage. If it was more meaty, it would have been flawless. The Location: It's located on Main Street near the beach, so street parking is extremely limited. I came on a Tuesday morning and didn't have an issue, but lunchtime and weekends are insnae. Visit off peak hours to avoid the traffic jam or a long wait. The Setting: Crema is a medium sized establishment, with about half the space taken up by the bakery line. Fortunately, there's an outdoor seating area with about another 10 tables. Since we brought our dogs, we chose the latter option and enjoyed the shade provided by the umbrellas. Everything is clean and well organized. The Service: The customer service is great. The staff was all polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. The Price: This is really the only con: everything is 10% to 20% more expensive here. I call it the beach tax. Shops along any beach can implement it because people are willing to pay it in order to enjoy the amenities and location. The Conclusion: The Crema Cafe is one of our go-to restaurants for brunch and dessert any time we come to Seal Beach. It's not flawless, but we always leave happy.

I went into javatinis since it was right there and I felt bad about just asking for a water without paying so I ordered an iced latte (even though I don't care for their drinks). After I had already paid, I asked them politely for an iced water. They said they would have to charge. I was like "what? Even though I paid for a drink?" And the girl said "yes we charge for the cost of the cup." So pathetic. So I walked over to bogarts fully expecting to have to pay for something else I didn't need just to get an iced water for my toddler. The girl at bogarts, without hesitation, gave me an iced water. I said "are you sure? I can buy a muffin or something" she said "seriously it's no problem." And because of that, I went back a few hours later to get an iced chai, and now bogarts is the only coffee shop we'll give our money to every week in seal beach. Funny how not being cheap and a penny pincher with your paying customers will benefit you in the long run. Javatinis could learn a thing or two from them... I decided to buy a latte because I didn't want to ask for a water without buying anything. The girl at the register tried handing me basically a lidless Dixie cup for the water. If you have any knowledge of kids at all, you know that's not going to work trying to take that to-go. I asked her politely for just a plastic cup with a lid so that the water doesn't spill on the way over to the playground. She said she would have to charge me for that. I said " even though I bought a latte?" She said yes...."the cup costs money." Literally that's so pathetic as a business. Crazy to me that the owner has these penny pinching policies. The only reason I even came in and bought a latte was so that I wouldn't be rude asking for a free water. I was so mad because I had already paid for my latte (and honestly one of the worst lattes I've ever had). If I would have known that they were trying to be cheap about a plastic cup, I would have went to bogarts from the start....because when I walked immediately over to Bogarts after this encounter, and asked them for a cup of water with a lid...they looked at my Javatinis cup and said "sure no problem!" I said "I can buy a muffin or something if you need me to!" They laughed and said "no it's seriously no problem! Especially since it's for your kid!" I told them what had just happened at javatinis and they all rolled their eyes and said they weren't surprised. lol It's wild to me how a business feels it is worth losing a regular paying customer permanently (and even more customers from word of mouth), over a 30 cent cup (if that). Do better javatinis.

Not a five-course meal. Then we waited OVER AN HOUR for finger sandwiches that tasted like cafeteria scraps. Most of the food was genuinely awful. The only remotely edible items were the tomato soup, cucumber/egg sandwich, and chicken quiche -- except the quiche wasn't even included and cost an extra $22, which is insane for a place already charging premium prices for mediocrity. The "egg sandwich" was basically stale yellow bread with microscopic traces of egg. And whoever decided HAM AND BLUEBERRY CREAM CHEESE belonged in a finger sandwich needs to be fired immediately. Even the table decor looked terrible. Every table had random mismatched pieces from different sets instead of a cohesive theme, so the whole place just felt cluttered, lazy, and disorganized. Nothing about this experience felt charming or intentional. I waited over an hour to eat garbage in a room that smelled like dust and neglect. Absolutely do not recommend. I wasn't paying, but the experience costed over $100 (including $60 from a groupon).
