But when I spotted a pistachio latte on the menu, I had to ask if they could make a pistachio chai with almond milk. The barista's response? "I sure can." Say less. Turns out, that was an outstanding decision. The pistachio chai was creamy, perfectly spiced, and just different enough to feel like a treat without overpowering the chai flavor. I used to go to another local coffee shop for a cuppa, but started popping into Javatinis more frequently and immediately fell in love with them. Javatinis is a decent coffee shop located on Main St. in Seal Beach. The service was cool and the inside of the establishment had a cute coffee shop vibe. I opted for a pumpkin muffin as well as a S'mores latte. My pastry was pretty good but my latte was decent; it tasted mostly of graham cracker crust rather than any marshmallow or chocolate flavoring. I believe my boyfriend got a vanilla latte and he seemed to have enjoyed it. Got a honey vanilla latte, vanilla cold brew with pistachio cold foam and an almond croissant. The honey vanilla latte wasn't that great. The cold brew was extremely bitter and sour, the cold foam was not good and didn't taste like pistachios. As someone who loves pistachio coffee I was let down. We decided to throw our drinks away. The baristas were kinda rude- to give them the benefit of the doubt it was getting busy but it just kinda killed the vibe for me. The croissant was pretty good though. Maybe it was an off day for them but overall I don't think I'd come back, I was pretty disappointed and felt I wasted $20. read more

Dropped in this morning for coffee with my son. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and my son had the hot Irish cream latte. I didn't find the service to be either friendly or welcoming. There was no greeting when we arrived or when we left. My son's drink was ready a good 5 minutes before mine. I heard one of the workers yell that an iced vanilla latte was also in the order, so I'm assuming they originally didn't start making it until after she had yelled it (after my son picked his up from the counter). Update in response to the owner's comment: your complimentary cup they offered was NOT lidded. It was just a paper Dixie cup with NO lid...thus, literally the whole issue in the first place. What a cute cafe! I got the Hawaiian mocha and a churro croissant. So good! What I really liked about this place is the selection of drinks and pastries. I really wanted to order the chocolate covered strawberry matcha with rose foam (Valentine's Day special) but then I got overwhelmed with all the choices glancing at the regular menu. Next thing you know it's my turn to order and I quickly blurted out Hawaiian mocha with coconut milk and whip cream. I went to try the place yesterday and I ordered an espresso with ice and it was good, however the service I was provided seemed off. I had to repeat myself multiple times to get water with no ice and I end up getting it with ice. I came in just before the person on duty training the new employee was about to clock out. Consequently, the trainer had to leave before I was about to order. Through out remaining of my time there, the two females behind the counter seemed annoyed that I was there enjoying my drink and water as I was entertained by the music just outside of the shop. WhenI was about to leave finally, I felt they were relief I was leaving and they didn't even greeted me for coming in. I knew something fishy as they watch me leave and I felt like a burden to them, as they had an unhappy expression on their face. The next day I wanted to speak with someone regarding this experience and I asked for someone in charge of the store and the response I got was, 'no manager on here today, only on weekdays in the morning.' I felt like she was trying to rush her way out of the call so she can get back to work but seems like my needs wasn't important at all. I knew someone with experience was there on duty and the girl talking to me didn't want to bother the person. Sigh, I wanted to try this place again next time but I'm not so sure anymore, however if a manager or supervisor replies back to me to discuss this matter, then my hands are tied. read more

I had a terrible experience with this café's rewards system. I signed up expecting to enjoy the advertised perks, but it's been a complete hassle. Even though I regularly received emails with coupon codes, every time I went in, the barista said they couldn't apply my rewards. When I reached out to the manager, they told me it would be fixed next time if I used my phone number. I tried again, and nothing worked. To make matters worse, I was told the manager was on vacation, so there was no one to help. This is incredibly frustrating and a huge letdown. I won't be wasting my time here anymore. read more

Javatini is a great location, right in the center of Old Town Seal Beach. The coffee is very good. I especially like that the pastries are made by a company that hires people just out of prison, to give them- not just a job - but a skill they can move forward with. This storefront sits in downtown and specializes in coffee, smoothies, baked goods, and light bites. The cafe is on the smaller side with just a few tables for those who prefer to sip their caffeine in person. I stopped by for a grab-and-go situation and ordered their matcha frap and the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was the perfect size and gave me just enough energy to get the day started. A matcha frap might not have been the best move on a rainy afternoon, but I loved the taste and sweetness level regardless. I also adore how community-forward this coffee shop is. Visitors can explore their walls filled with photos of the Javatinis team dating back to 2013, business cards connecting you to local trades, and posters for upcoming events. I prefer this coffee shop in the area over the other. I am a sucker for seasonal lattes and they have creative flavors. I last had a maple leaf cookie latte, less sweet of course. They have a rewards program with deals going to your email. Often times you have to spend a minimum of $10. Once in awhile it's $1 or $2 off with no minimum. With tight expiration dates, I don't get a chance to use it. They have a location in Lakewood but I am more likely to be in the vicinity of Seal Beach since I love walking Main St and the pier. They do have a bathroom so I'm not sure why a previous reviewer said otherwise. read more

The Javatini closer to home in Lakewood closed down so I'll be coming to this location from now on. It is a bit of a drive. so I've only been to this location a few times. Each visit, I've had a positive experience. I came tonight to redeem my free drink from their rewards program. I wanted something sugar free and the cashier recommended the dark chocolate latte. I got it hot and it was really delicious. It tasted like a mocha latte. It was really creamy and a perfect balance of chocolate and coffee. I wish the Javatini in Lakewood didn't close down, but glad that we still have this location around. I really like that they offer many sugar free options. The cafe is tiny, but there are a few tables and chairs available. Parking can be tough during peak hours. read more

The first day I tried a Fall flavored dirty Chai with 1 an add shot of espresso, I really enjoyed the rich flavors, I also ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches with eggs ham and bacon, $7 is a bit much for me but it was good and filling, made fresh. The next day, I had a lavender matcha, I couldn't distinguish the taste of lavender, so that was a bit disappointing, but overall, it was good. The service is kind and swift. I asked for my coffee to be extra hot and before I had a chance to try it, the barista gave me cup then gave me a second cup on the house as she proactively realized that she did not make my first cup as hot as possible. I LOVE Javatinis!!! Every time I come here, my heart is filled with so much joy and happiness. Their drinks are so amazingly good, I crave it! This is a cute little coffee shop located right off of Main Street Seal Beach. Cute ambiance but it is has been fairly crowded the last couple times I've gone and the service tends to be slow. We waited about 15 minutes for two drinks (one of which was only straight espresso) while they cranked out orders for several people who had come in after us. They also had a sign posted saying they no longer serve gelato at this location. My husband tried the Vanilla Frapatini which was just alright. It was very sweet and I didn't get any coffee flavor from it at all. Pretty underwhelming in my opinion. I was excited to try their double shot Cubano which ended up being just alright. The espresso was good but I expected a little more sweetness and was disappointed when it was pretty bitter. We did not try any of their food items or pastries as we were headed to breakfast nearby. I wish I would've gone with my usual and chosen one of their flavored lattes or mochas - all of which sounded delicious. We may give this place another chance but with other coffee shops nearby there's a chance we will find somewhere else we'd rather spend our money. read more
