My friend and I had a blast here, service was as impeccable as the food. Our server started us with fresh bread, accompanied by a spicy garlic olive oil that was to die for. Want to know what a just picked just pressed olive oil tastes like? Order that garlic oil and soak away in rich olive-y goodness. I ordered cioppino, burnt my tongue I was so excited! Carmine's has impeccable service, from the host to wait staff. Everyone is incredibly hospitable, warm, and patient! Outdoor dining is a treat with a vine intertwined canopy and built in heaters. We went there twice - one date night with my husband and second time with our family and baby girl of 5 months. The host in particularly was so accommodating with our reservations and requests and proactively offered blankets to keep us warm. My boyfriend surprised me with dinner here on Valentine's weekend and I was very impressed. Although a busy holiday weekend, our service was prompt and the experience was wonderful. Our waiter took the time to go over the menu with us and invited and answered all questions as we were first time diners at this establishment. The ambiance of the restaurant was very calming and romantic, perfect for a dinner date. We had the bruschetta appetizer and it was delicious! I had the double cut pork chop with risotto and apple chutney and it was the best porkchop I have ever had!! The portion was huge and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. My boyfriend had the duck breast and he said it was delicious! We finished our meal with the trio of cannoli dessert and it was the perfect finish to our meal. I came here with my husband for an early Valentine's Day celebration dinner over the weekend. First impression was that the restaurant ambiance was great, and it felt very romantic inside. We checked in early but luckily we were able to get seated about 30 minutes early in the bar area. It took a while for us to get our orders taken, as the restaurant was super busy. We also didn't get a drink menu until quite a bit of time later. The service was great despite the slowness. The drinks here were okay. I would stick to wine or get something off the cocktail menu rather than ask them to make a drink. They weren't familiar with a specific drink so when it came out it was completely wrong and not made correctly. They fixed the problem by offering to redo it but my husband got a different drink instead. He said it was still just okay. The food was good but salty. I thought the vodka sauce for the salmon pasta was going to be a red pasta sauce but it was cream based which I was not a huge fan of (too heavy for me). The rigatoni bolognese was tasty, as were the meatballs and cheesecake dessert. The cheesecake was $18, so that was sticker shock for us when the bill came out because it was pretty small. Do not make the same mistake I did and confuse this with the New York Carmine's. This restaurant is completely different! This is a more upscale restaurant in Downtown Bellevue. The ambiance is really sophisticated and the service is amazing. Anything you order here will taste delicious from appetizer to dessert. It's an amazing experience. And the price point definitely reflects that. They have a parking garage close by and its elevator drops you off on the corner of the restaurant. They validate parking. They have a bigger salon and bar area. Usually, the bigger salon is quite busy and somewhat noisy. I recommend coming here on special occasions. My ratings of the food, setting, and service are superb. The waitress was very accommodating in letting my husband and I share various dishes and served them to us on separate plates. We shared the prawn appetizer, a small order of rigatoni, and the profiteroles (my personal favorite). We did each order our own entree. First off , this restaurant looks and smells amazing I look over the counter I see the chefs cooking and as soon as I walk through the door I smell delicious sauces and I hear the pans clanking and sizzling away on the stove, HOWEVER , they handle the ready to eat foods with their bare hands, the waiter who handed us our bread basket was just putting away menues then reached for a huge loaf of bread with his bare hands and proceeded to cut it up throw the rest of the loaf back then with his bare hands filled the basket and handed it to us. this is a sanitation violation and their staff should be sent to retraining especially management. My friend booked this reservation based on past reviewers who gave great reviews for special occasions. Our group (6) were there to celebrate our summer birthdays. All of us had turned 50 this summer (known each other from college) and so we picked a date in the middle of summer to celebrate. No chocolate, gooey, cake-like, ice-cream type dessert on the menu (not even cheesecake). So we figured they would acknowledge with a token dessert. When the server brought out 3 desserts we thought perhaps since we had told server it was a group Birthday they were giving us a sample. No, it was wrong table/"nevermind". I asked server if they had meant to bring a Birthday dessert out to table and she claimed she didn't know. It was 1) on the table 2) on the reservation and 3) was communicated verbally several times. At any rate, great location, food was good, albeit smaller portions that I thought they would be. Salad was great. Server just not on her A game. Special occasions should be honored. They would have had a 5 start Yelp review and 5 more raving fans. It's the little things that make the difference. My wife, my daughter, and I went to eat at Carmine's and it was absolutely delicious. We ordered a romain salad, gnocchi, and a spaghetti with sausages and a curry sauce of sorts. I ordered the salad and dare I say it is one of the best I have ever had! It seemed fairly simple with half a slice of lettuce, some goat cheese, vinegar and some other assortments but it tastes like an explosion. From the crunch of the lettuce to the tangy taste of the vinegar everything combines well to give u the most delicious bite. The pastas from what I heard were great as well. My daughter loved the gnocchi and thought it was overall very nice as well as my wife, they just had one complaint; the dough was a little too soft and sticky. Although it made just be a preference choice but the pasta had a soft texture that was very filling and unsettling. If you like your pasta that way than you will absolutely love it. For dessert my daughter was dying to taste the tiramisu and it was the star of the night. It was creamy and sweet and a little bitter and with the chocolate cookie crumble on the side it was absolutely delicious! I strongly recommend this place. read more

Nice place in the white tablecloth style. Spent 300.00 for three people without breaking a sweat. Food is good, menu has a lot of choices similar to their original Seattle place. But guys panna cotta is a traditional dessert that is not enhanced by pumpkin spice and 2-4 random dots of something, hard to tell what it was. Wine list is fine, bar does a nice job but a bit on the slow side. Food service was good. And, like their Seattle place, it's a little on the noisy side if you actually want to talk to your dinner guest. My wife and I absolutely love this place and have been coming on date night once a month or so since they opened. The food, service, and ambience are all amazing. BUT - we went in this last Saturday night and immediately realized that no one is wearing masks - they are using face shields instead. Sitting below the server while they take your order we were looking right up at his unprotected face. He might as well not have been wearing anything. Sadly we won't be returning until that is changed or coronavirus is no longer an issue. Hopefully it changes as CDC just came out today and clarified that face shields are not a substitute for cloth masks. If you are unbothered by this then I would highly recommend Carmine's as all of things we have always loved about it are unchanged. It really was nice to be back. read more

My Husband and I dined at Carmines for the first time last Friday. We loved the fresh pasta! I ordered the clam pasta and my husband got the fennel sausage pasta and a veal dish. All three were great with complex flavors. However, the two glasses of white wine we ordered were very underwhelming comparatively. One is a Pino Gris and the other one is a CS Michelle Riesling. I would think a high end restaurant like this would offer better wine selection. The two whites defiantly did not worth the price they are charging. I went to Carmine's with a very open mind. I had seen the interior and really was hopeful. However, I was not impressed. My dish had to be sent back as it was not really edible. I had the calamari. Maybe it was an off night. My husband liked his dish but it didn't wow him either. The atmosphere was lovely and I did appreciate that. I was hoping for something great, but still find it worth the trip out to Montalcino in Issaquah. Have eaten there 12 times and NEVER had a bad meal. We were lucky enough to have dinner here on Saturday evening of 10/1/16. From start to finish we were not disappointed. They've only been opened three weeks, but you would think longer. Carmine's definitely brought their "A" game to the Eastside. The restaurant is elegant, sophisticated, and inviting to use a few words to describe. The food and table cloth services was an experiment we have had to go into Seattle to enjoy until now. 5 Plus stars for the food, fresh ingredients that were perfectly prepared. All six of us cleaned each and every dish. One person said how refreshing it was to enjoy a meal that the flavors were not hidden behind too much salt. Loved this restaurant! First, the decor and atmosphere - really made you feel like you might be in Italy even though you're in the middle of Bellevue. They really put a lot of thought into the design of the restaurant. The food was great - everything tasted good from the burrata to minestrone soup to the pastas to the panna cotta.. However, I would say that it might have felt like it tasted more amazing because of just the overall restaurant vibe and also the service was spectacular.
