New Mendocino Farms open in Bellevue on 4th. Parking is challenging. If you only pick up within 30min window, you can park in parking garage free 30min. If not, just go around 2 blocks down here and there for free street parking. I ordered to go, because they give a promo for 1st time online order $5off $15 , code is sea5offm It took 55min. Oh wow. But I understand this is their 1st week grand opening. When I got there, there's a line already. They are trying to accommodate everyone. They should have a kiosk so you can order yourself. People took at least a good 5-10min to order in person because either they are not sure or cant decide. Restroom: 2 gender neutral individual restrooms Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating area. Kitchen is tight space, I can see the people assembled food cant barely move anywhere. Food wise is ok. I ordered: The chef special- watermelon poke salad Lemon cheesecake cookie Few things: I don't like how narrow and tall the bowl is, very hard to mix, everything spilling out. Secondly, barely have any watermelon and poke, probably only a spoonful.

The food was very fresh and filling. However, I don't know I will be back. The parking is free for the first 30 minutes, which I expected to be enough time to order and eat most of my sandwich. However, it took 35 minutes to receive our order of one sandwich and one salad, ordered without modifications. We were a bit perplexed why it took so long. The dining area wasn't too full, but every patron there was waiting for food, only one guest was actually eating. The sandwich tasted like the sum of its parts, nothing too stellar bringing it all together. The veggie sandwich (I think the happy hippie) had a strong pickle taste throughout. Not sure why. The whole, fresh ingredients left me feeling satisfied all day long and that in itself deserves some respect and appreciation. Could make for a good catering order. There were lots of fresh choices.

Delicious and great service. I usually wait a while after a new restaurant opens to let them shake down. But in less than 2 weeks this place is humming along. Pleasant and helpful door greeters and order takers started things off well. Even though very busy the food came pretty quickly. I loved my crunchy chicken wrap. I wish there were more wraps on the menu. It was big enough for 2 to share for lunch. [Actually my only complaint is how caloric some menu items are. Its a good idea to share!] My friend had the club and reported it "great". Wonderful start for this new restaurant!

Mendocino Farms is my new favorite lunch spot! I am obsessed with the baja goddess salad, which has me coming back. And the downtown Bellevue location near the office and friendly staff make it all the easier to visit again and again. I learned about Mendocino Farms opening in downtown Bellevue and saw that at their soft launch, they were giving out free entrees for people to check out. Um yes, I am in. For their grand opening, they gave out free totes to the first 100 customers. I wasn't able to snag one, but my colleague did, and I love that the tote was Bellevue-specific and sturdy - definitely not a cheap-quality tote. I've had the baja goddess salad with the chicken, which is my favorite item here...for now. I haven't tried most of the menu, but the salad is an item I've re-ordered because it's that good! I also tried the not-so-fried chicken sandwich with the mustard remoulade, which was also delicious! They also have their housemade drinks with fresh fruit, which is worth checking out. In addition to sandwiches and salads, they have cookies and a kids menu here. This downtown Bellevue location is near many office buildings, with an outdoor seating area and a specific place for people to pick up their order for takeout. Staff is always super friendly. Every time I walk in here, staff checks in on me. In my most recent visit, I ordered takeout online and when I visited the store to pick it up, I learned they were so backed up with other orders, that my order would take 45 minutes to get. I didn't have 45 minutes to wait since I had a meeting, but the employee who helped me had the kitchen staff rush my order, so I didn't have to wait 45 minutes. Fantastic customer service and delicious, wholesome food. So glad Mendocino Farms is in Bellevue!

Good selections of sandwiches. Great addition to the lunch scene. They are very busy and the people are friendly and personable. I might try the online order next time.

    Lemon Chicken and Farro soup

I ordered the Lemon Chicken & Farro soup and the Tomato Basil soup, hoping for something warm and comforting on a cold night. Unfortunately, both soups arrived extremely oily. The Tomato Basil soup also had a noticeable layer of oil on top, which isn't what I expect from a classic, cozy soup. I've tried several of their sandwiches in the past and found them to be decent, so this was especially disappointing. They also don't live up to the restaurant's slogan of "get ready to eat happy," as the quality of the soups fell far short of that expectation.

The modern Caesar wrap with chicken

Amazing fresh food with quick, friendly service. Carlos P. was so gracious. We came here for my kid's birthday and he gave us the "Fan of the Day," which comped one of our orders. He answered all of our questions with kindness and ease. Thank you for making our birthday lunch so special! I have been craving a solid Caesar wrap in the Bellevue/Seattle area for a long time. This is IT! With avocado, crunchy quinoa bits, and fresh ingredients, I strongly feel that this is the best Caesar wrap in the area. Paired with Mama Zuma's Habanero chips (which are actually SPICY!) and a side of Caesar dressing, I was left feeling happy and full. You can honestly save half for later. The half and half vegetarian Caprese with tomato basil soup was spectacular and tasted homemade. The ciabatta was delicious. Every bite was perfectly proportioned, with the perfect ratio of mozzarella to tomato and leaves. I ate it so fast and forgot to take a photo - that's how good it was! Overall, I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for amazing, fresh food paired with impeccable service. This location was very clean as well. Thank you Carlos P. and team for making our day!

The menu is quite small with three cold sandwiches and three hot ones, each inspired by a different region of the globe with the South Pacific, South America and Mediterranean as a few examples. There were two salads listed as well. I've been here twice and both times, when I went to place my order on the iPad, the menu stated they were out of stock for the sandwich that I wanted. However, when I asked the employee, she said that was not correct. So if you see the same message when ordering, it's worth asking about it! During my first visit, I ordered the RENDANG ($14). This hot sandwich came packed with SO much meat! Very tender chunks of marinated beef tasted of coconut, curry and warm spices. The flavor had true depth and I could actually taste hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Thin spears of pickled cucumber and carrot added crunch and a perfect zing of acidity. They were refreshing and cut through the rich beef. A drizzle of Sambal Terasi (chili) aioli gave it another layer of flavor. Cilantro, mint and Thai basil were all fresh and vibrant. The bread was lightly toasted, being a little crinkly in texture without being harsh against my gums. If I could change something, I would include a couple extra slices of the cucumber to balance out the ratio of vegetables to meat, and add a bit more of the aioli. Other than that, this is a great sandwich influenced by flavors of the South Pacific. My companion got the STEAK sandwich ($15) and enjoyed it. The steak slices were thinly cut and tender as well. They do their beef right! On another occasion, I tried the PROSCIUTTO ($14), one of their cold sandwiches. The delicate layers of prosciutto were placed on top of sliced tomatoes, pickled onion and arugula, all between pressed focaccia bread. Truffle mustard was spread on both pieces of bread, which was WAY too much in my opinion. With this mustard having a stronger flavor, it overpowered the sandwich and made it too tangy, especially in combination with the pickled onions. The menu stated this should include pistachios, but I didn't notice any, and they were all out of provolone, so there was also an absence of cheese. For the prices, these sandwiches are pretty generous in size, so I consider them a good deal, especially for the Bellevue area. The ingredients are fresh and make for a fantastic lunch option. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Prosciutto sandwich, I'd definitely go back again for another Rendang!

I pre-ordered the high fiber bread scheduled for pick up on Monday. It was on the menu online and it accepted my payment, and considering it's a pre-order I assumed everything was good to go and they would make my order ready by Monday. I get to the store on Monday in a mad rush because I'm trying to pick up this high fiber bread to take home for my father in law flying back to Taiwan. So I literally made the trip just to get the bread in the morning and then rushed home to take him to the airport. I get to the store and apparently one of the managers said they tried to call me... at 6:30/7AM in the morning leaving me a voicemail on that same Monday I went to pick up the bread.... Basically saying they can't fulfill my order because the high fiber is not something they make on Monday??? I mean first of all, why are you taking preorders online then? Second of all, why is your online system allowing us customers to order and place in the cart if it's not available on Monday? Isn't that the point of preorder? So you know ahead of time what bread to make for customers? He then had the audacity to say... all our *regular customers* know our bread making schedule. It changes daily. Well, first of all, excuse me for not being a *regular* as in there's apparently some elitist exclusive group at great harvest bread. Also, though I'm not a *regular*, I do purchase breads from here for visitors etc from time to time and am well aware that the breads they make change daily WHICH IS WHY I PREORDERED. I was pretty upset about the whole ordeal and he compted me a Dakota bread which I don't even like. *eye roll* I think they seriously need to work on customer service etiquette and to edit their website so that it's not misleading. If you aren't able to provide the bread listed online, then don't enable it for preorders and waste our time commuting only to leave empty handed. Factoria is an extremely busy area too with heavy traffic in the morning. I was breaking a sweat trying to get from A to B on time What a complete disappointment. Please note this is not a review for the quality of their bread, but for the disappointing customer service and lack of transparency in their website. It's completely misleading...

Lorenzo opened Paseo in 1994, where his popular Cuban roast pork sandwiches were regarded as among the best in the country. After years of local expansion, Paseo abruptly filed for bankruptcy in 2014. The brand was subsequently bought out by a local entrepreneur, but the sale did not include Paseo's secret recipes (the reboot attempted to reverse engineer the sandwiches with varying success). So, in 2015, Lorenzo's sons revived Paseo under a new name, Un Bien, armed with their father's original recipes. Nowadays, Un Bien is generally regarded as superior to Paseo, and you can grab their Caribbean sandos at one of the three locations across Seattle. You can't miss the pastel pink-and-teal palette of the original shack on an otherwise drab block of Ballard. As you approach the wooden window, you are greeted by the aroma of sauteed meats and veggies. Communal laquered wood benches are lined up underneath a covered pergola. Fifties hits ring respectfully around the kitchen. My partner and I visited for late weekday lunch, and we ordered immediately. We opted to focus on the signature pork shoulder, so we split the #1 Caribbean Roast and #2 The Press. Across both sandwiches, we were impressed by the tender pork, rich onions, lemon-forward aioli, and marinade-soaked baguette. The standard roast pork sandwich added on pickled jalapenos and crisp romaine, culminating in a dynamic flavor that accentuated the meat. Meanwhile, The Press featured tart banana peppers, smoked ham, and melty Swiss, amping up the sweet and savory flavors alike; we agreed that this extra-messy sandwich just edged out the standard version. Our order took just minutes to be prepared, and the bill just topped $30. Despite the fanfare, I still found myself surprised by just how satisfying Un Bien's sandwiches turned out to be. Across all the food I ate in Seattle, only these pork sandwiches would be worth a return visit, even if I had to venture out of my way.

When we asked for clarification because the restaurant was advertised as being open until 9:00 PM, staff confirmed they were open until then but said the seating area would close earlier anyway. After receiving our food, we were told not to sit down and were asked to leave the seating area altogether. The interaction felt abrupt and discourteous, especially given that we had arrived well before closing and had purchased food with the expectation that we could eat on-site. The food itself was average, but the poor customer service and inconsistent messaging about seating left a much stronger impression than the meal. There are other better places. Skip.

To continue the theme of a sandwich dinner, I decided to walk to the nearby Potbelly to pick up a couple of sandwiches, but mainly to satisfy my craving for a genuine hand scooped ice cream shake. I carried it back to the apartment, and provided a nice repast for us on a Sunday night. First, the vanilla and strawberry shakes ($5.59 each) were very good. It uses hand scooped vanilla ice cream, mixed with strawberry syrup and milk in a blender. The vanilla shake was better than the strawberry, mainly because the strawberry syrup didn't really add as much flavor as I would have liked...but the base was excellent, using good ice cream. Cubano ($10.99), mixing ham and pulled pork with swiss, toasting it, then adding mustard and pickles. Cubano ingredients, but no sandwich press and the bread was wrong. The bread for both sandwiches seems to be Torano, which along with Gonnella, are the two Chicago-area bakers known for their french rolls used to make subs and especially Italian beef sandwiches. This is different than most other sub chains that make their bread in-house. I thought the bread was fine, especially when toasted. Also the topping called hot peppers is really Chicago style giardiniera...really authentic...reminding me of Chicago. They also have a large selection of different soups, including a good beef chili I've had in the past. The store actually did remind me of sub shops from where I grew up, and thought the prices for the location were reasonable as well.
