UPDATE: This business has closed :( OK, I guessed on the address, but this place is wedged between Quizno's and the ever-addicting JavaJ. The sign reads "delicious tamales Friday, Saturday, Sunday," and let me tell ya THEY ARE. Spicy pork, corn, and colombian vegetable. Top it off with a little cholula and you've got yourself one fulfilling meal. As the name states, they do carry meats and fish (including menudo, tripe, and other Mexican delicacies). A pretty decent selection of Mexican staples too (tortillas, masa, salsa, etc). read more

I personally like roaming through the sauces aisles and ice cream section. There is a hot foods area and a bubble tea shop that I didn't get to check out, but they looked good. Some pantry items and produce are on the pricer side, but you're basically paying for the convenience. If you're in the area and don't want to make the drive to KP Market or Seafood City, I highly recommend shopping at Oriental Market.

They even have a small cafeteria-style restaurant selling various hot and ready filipino food and desserts. Yum! My sister and I went here because she likes the sago't gulaman drink from the boba place inside the grocery store. She treated me to halo-halo and it was delicious! A perfect cold treat on a warm day. They are generous with the beans and toppings and the price is reasonable for the amount and quality. For both drinks, I believe she paid around $15 and we place our order using the convenient kiosk. I also found black sesame rice roll snacks there so I was happy about that too. They have a specific area for lining up for the cash registers so just look for the sign. Definitely will be coming back soon!

Having lived in Roseville for a few years I had heard about this spot for so long but had never…read morebeen in the area! Finally my husband and I were able to make our way over there for breakfast and were so impressed! We found street parking right away & were greeted by the friendly cashier upon walking in. We let him know it was our first time and he immediately recommended the Tri Tip tacos! We were happy to see that they served these during breakfast & they came in an order of 3. We also ordered the breakfast burrito & split that. We got hot sauces to go with our to go order & couldn't wait to get home because the food smelled SO AMAZING. We smelt the smoker before we even saw it when we pulled up & so we knew it was going to be good, but not this good! The Tri tip tacos were the star. We were so glad we took the staff's recommendation ! The Tri tip was thinly sliced & Smokey in every bite. The tortilla was fried it seemed and then the taco was topped with a shredded cheese blend and lettuce. It sounded a bit basic .... But together and with the meat, it really was fantastic! Will definitely be back to try more of their foods.

Fried garlic crunch. Instant noodles. More pickles and shrimp cake in the fridge. These are not things you'll find in the nearby major Asian supermarket. And if you find yourself with too much fermented tea leaf at once, well, I have sesame dressing at home, and my go to is noodles dressed with the sesame dressing for a good base flavor, with the laphet added for a twang in the flavor, and cilantro added for freshness. Because they sell laphet by the bag on the shelf, and that's a lot, but they also sell them in packet bundles on the stand near the door, and the packets are super powerful, at least when you're cooking for just a bachelor.

So, I pulled into Mercado Loco because their carnitas is delicious! They have a very compact parking lot with a vendor on the sidewalk selling the doritos that you can put your sauce & lime on. I skipped him today and walked through those automatic doors... I know Mercado Loco has been here for decades. I grew up just around the corner and finally walked in about 5 years ago for the first time. Boy, was I missing out! At first, you notice this is a Mexican grocery store that also offers hot lunch/dinners. The price for some of their items are a little high than your typical grocery store... being that some of the items they offer are higher quality. However, sometimes, the prices do not match up when you get to the front. Cilantro had a price of $.69 on display, but I was charged $.75... it was only a tiny difference, but just putting it out there. I went straight to the hot case and a woman with a beautiful smile greeted me in Spanish and asked me what I would like. I ordered a pound of their carnitas. Oh, heck, give me some of those chichorrones, too. Next thing you know, I'm grabbing some of their hot salsa... I think their hot salsa is one of the best, hottest salsas that I have ever had that I can handle! We're talking nose running, but it's so good you can't stop! Next, I grab some king size corn tortillas. Some cilantro... they have wonderful produce available here... as well as those gorgeous purple dragon fruits when the season is right. After my pound is carnitas, pound of chicharonnes, cilantro, tortillas, and salsa... it came out to just a hair above $40! Ouch, but that is what you pay for when you want authentically cooked carnitas and chicharonnes. When I got home, I was a little disappointed that I was given some of the dried out pieces of their carnitas. When I say dry, it was too hard to eat. So I cut those parts off and tossed them (my carnitas blew their out of the water, btw.... just saying, lol.) The chicharon's were hot and miss throughout the entire time we ate them. Super hard, popping you he l can hear in your teeth, in your jaw... but some parts were delicious, succulent, crispy... yum! I love coming here earlier in the day. When I get tacos, they for 99% off the time on point! They are gorgeous and tasty... and get the HOT SALSA!

After inspection at home the smell was faint. But once cooked it almost seems like the meat had been marinated in that fabuloso fragrent liquid smell. This place is dirty and filthy. People are careless of the quality just like the owner. He use to have an other location in Rancho Cordova. But the dirty details about their specials and promotions made me sexond doubt buying anything feom there. JOKINGLY i would ask if the meat was good this time. (Its fresh we just got this batch.)

What attracted me to come to Sake was that it's AYCE but you order want you want and however many pieces of whatever's on the AYCE menu. None of that mess people create on the buffet and no worries about how clean the other people's hands are when they touch the serving spoons/tongs. This restaurant was the same location for that promising Mexican restaurant just before COVID hit and was thus, forced to close. The inside was not too big, it was just the right size. Nothing fancy but I didn't go there for the fancy. I was there for the sushi and deep fried soft shell crab. The soft shell crab was crispy, just a little bit too done but had a nice crunch and the serving size was perfect. The sashimi were sliced in a variety of thinness/thickness, I guess depending on the fish. The sake/salmon was thick enough but the rest were not so much. But, it's AYCE so just double the order for each fish and you'll satisfy that sashimi cravings you've been having since last weekend. Also, surprise, surprise. They also have amaebi. One of my favorite nigiris. Sadly, the deep fried head didn't come with it only for us to find out that we had to specifically ask for it. I understand because many don't want to try the head, so food waste is minimal. To the service and staff I go. They came by our table asking if we would like to order some more. Albeit not too busy, maybe 10 tables at the same time we were there, but it's nice that they approach you not for the purpose of rushing you but to make sure you've had your fill of your favorite nigiri/sashimi/maki and the variety of rolls. It was a good experience. The staff made our visit a successful experience. The choices for food was expansive and I was not disappointed at all. Thank you Sake.
