Hidden gem in Planada!! I ordered a torta de asada without salsa and it was good, 9/10. I just wish it some beans and cheese! I'll ask for some next time! There are tables inside and outside. The ones inside has some AC so you can avoid the heat. I recommend this place!

Huge burrito and also delicious! There was a long line when we got there so I knew it would be good. The carnitas were super tender and the buche was amazing as well. The burrito supreme has rice, beans, the meat, cheese, and crema. There are not a lot of good carnitas around so I can tell why this place is so busy. There are plenty tables inside and outside so you will have a place to sit.

found this place as we were heading home from yosemite, so good! the best food we've had this whole trip. everyone was really nice. will definitely be back. red salsa was tasty , reminded us of our abuela's salsa.

Carnitas tacos, Chicharron papusa and fries.

Everything was so delicious, fresh and flavorful! I can't wait to come back and try other menu items! We came from Atwater but it was worth the drive.

One of my favorite spots to stop by when I'm in the area. Teresa and the ladies are always super nice and helpful. If you haven't been here I'd definitely recommend!

On the way to Yosemite today we stopped at this little spot known for their amazing carnitas. I ordered the Torta with carnitas and he ordered the carnitas burrito. Delicious!! The bread was perfect vessel for the crispy flavorful carnitas. It was huge! We could of just shared that. His burrito was delicious too! All of the times that we've driven through this little town on the way to Yosemite, and this is the first time stopping to eat here. What a gem!! The yelpers don't lie, their carnitas are really delicious! Some of the best we've ever had. 10/10

People lined up Sunday early/ I eavesdropped and ordered the 'favorites'. Best carnitas torta. Period. Superb chivo. Fresh tortillas, salsa, car picnic in the lot. Immediately. Do it! Bought the menudo/ still too full but looks very promising.. Tremendous chicharon. Huge 12" x 24". Crispy salty goodness. My wife isn't a huge fan, but she kept snapping off chunks.. says a LOT! Buche was a big seller. If you know, you know. If you don't, I don't think it's going to be your thing. (It's pig stomach. If you like Menudo or tripe, then maybe but it's got a..... "pretty heavy flavor") No tripa or lengua tacos on sundays( menudo and chivo take up the stove-room), I'll grab some the next time headed east. I usually go through Madera, but this place may change my route. It's reaaally good!

RAMON'S TACOS HAS MOVED!!!!!!…read more They are no longer in the parking lot of the El Campo Market on the side of 140. There is now a different (not nearly as good) truck in that spot. Ramon's is just about two blocks away, just a couple of turns down the road. The truck is actually still visible from the side of 140 if you look closely, but it is a little further from the road than it was before. Ramon's truck is now parked in what seems to be the driveway of Ramon's house. Maybe there was some sort of rent dispute with El Campo? (I don't know.) What I do know is that the best tacos in Planada, the greater Yosemite area, and the greater Central Valley are from Ramon's. So, having found this information in the comments on someone else's review, I recently headed out to Ramon's, and re-experienced the bliss. I ordered a carne asada burrito, and it was everything I'd been dreaming of and missing for months. The carne asada is so tender, so flavorful, and so on point. All grilled onions are good, but there is something extra special about these. The rice, the beans, the crema, all as fresh as can be. The value of the huge burrito with top tier ingredients for about $14 cannot be beat (unless you make it yourself and happen to be a pro). This is literally my favorite taco truck of all time outside of SoCal. If you are driving down the 140 to or from Yosemite, it is definitely worth the two block detour. Highest recommendations. Twelve stars.

Plazuelas Mexican Restaurant, Oakhurst: 2026 Aug 5 (3.95 of 5)…read more Adrian, our server was gracious and friendly We were served water, complementary chips and salsa when seated. The chips were made in-house and had that clean fresh taste. The salsa was spicy but we couldn't stop eating. (4.5 of 5) Their prices are high for where they are located and our food didn't come with rice and beans. We agreed that the confirmation of a great Mexican restaurant comes from the rice and beans they serve. (4 of 5) Rib Eye Tacos: The rib eye tacos feature juicy, richly marbled steak cubes piled into warm home-made flour tortillas, topped with caramelized onions, cabbage and guacamole. The tender pieces of meat had great complexity, was well-charred, and had a nice mouthfeel. It breaks down easily with minimal chewing and the taste lingers on my tongue after each bite. (4.75 of 5) Fish Tacos: From street-food to table-top specialty, this is a popular Mexican dish. Their Ensenada-style beer-battered halibut served on homemade corn tortillas with pineapple-cabbage slaw and garlic chipotle sauce is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Squeezing a generous amount of lime juice added a bright, sharp sour taste that cuts through and balances the overall flavour. (4.5 of 5) Atmosphere: The place is clean with table and chairs well spread out, but the music blaring over the speakers made conversations difficult. This eatery looks out onto the parking lot. (2 of 5) Location: This is located in an anchor business area so FREE parking is easily accessible. Service: Adrian was our server. He was genuine, unpretentious, and sincere. He's only been working there for 6-years, but he may be the anchor to this family-owned eatery. Plazuelas Mexican: A passion for honest, uncomplicated, and authentic flavours.

This trip was no different except I'd begun in a different city than usual which changed the time and place that I stopped. While filling the gas tank at the Arco in Santa Nella I couldn't help but notice the taco truck (with shaded seating area) on the far edge of the property. Any plans for In-N-Out evaporated when I walked over and checked out the offerings. 6 tacos later ($2.86 each; 4 carne asada, 1 al pastor, 1 carnitas shared between two people) we'd both declared this place a winner. Had it not been so hot out I'd have also purchased a burrito for later. Or perhaps the 3 enchiladas for $7. Or maybe some quesabirrias. You see where I'm going. I thought the tacos here were declicious and was pretty certain I'd find the rest of the menu no different. Fresh and spicy salsas as well as a plop of grilled onions made these tacos as enticing as any In-N-Out burger and that's a compliment to both places. If you find yourself looking for very good Mexican fare in Santa Nella, look no further.
