    Buffet
    John C.

Not as good as the Market Cafe on the other side but not too shabby. This buffet is more family oriented for the kids that like Western types of food. Lots of options for the majority of the guests, friendly service and everything was sparkling clean. This side can manage larger crowds better than Market Cafe. If traveling with my nieces and nephews I would for sure be back but only if that were the case. :-)

Thank you for having us June 2025. We are from California.

June 30, 2025. We stayed here for a week at the secret and came over here in eight. The staff here is amazing. I would like to say thank you to several of the waiters who made our trip amazing even when I needed a bag of ice, he went and got it for my knee and his name Eugenio Perez he was amazing. Jose. Detza Armando. And Richard such a wonderful time we had with all them at the dream hotel in Puerto Vallarta buffet. It was wonderful.. also I would like to thank all the servers Sergio who was the server at secret at Puerto Vallarta Bay Hotel downstairs at the buffet was wonderful. All the servers were. I like to think all the staff at the front desk and all the bartenders and all the people around the pool the staff here is fantastic. They're very courteous and very helpful to everybody. What a wonderful trip we had, but I have to say the waiters were amazing thank you for making our trip

When it comes to breakfast, there is a person who makes homemade corn tortillas and has a few different options. You can make it a quesadilla (add cheese) or have a taco (no cheese), but the tortilla is the star of the show here. I pretty much hit up this area every morning as I was addicted to those delicious corn tortillas. Some of the meats I combined with those great tortillas were pastor, carne en su jugo (basically asada in a green sauce/juice), pork chamorro, and another I'm forgetting. It changed up every day, but there was always a tasty option. Inside the actual buffet, they had an egg station where you could make omelets or eggs cooked to order. There were plenty of other options like pancakes/waffles, fruit, yogurts, cottage cheese, juices, etc. but I pretty much stuck to the homemade tortillas. Their fresh fruit was also very tasty and refreshing (papaya was not very good but all else was great). When it came to the lunch, there wasn't a lot of appetizing items (to me), but again they had a meat station where they would usually do tacos cooked to order and those were delicious. They also had asada, chicken and sausages in that same area which you could make tacos out of. At lunch there was a pretty large dessert display too and ice cream to where you could make a little cup or cone of ice cream. Even though a lot of the things did not look very appetizing to me, the things that did were actually very good so I give it 4 stars overall. Service here was a little slow at times when trying to get more water, but the food was quite good if you hit the right spots. This became our regular breakfast spot due to the variety it offered (and those delicious tortillas). Would definitely eat there again.

Buffet all day!!!…read more First all inclusive hotel. And first buffet that I like. A lot of firsts. Hyatt Ziva is gorgeous. 5 restaurants, wine bar, pool bars, swim up bars. I was not planning to hit the buffet at all with all the options they have. But glad I did. This ended up being my favorite spot on the property. And goto food spot after my sit down meals at their other spots: even that fancy across the door. So! My first time here was the ceviche! I was looking for ceviche everywhere on the property and this was where I found it. After my crappy Brazilian steak house meal. Naturally I ate more!! And ate ceviche in my bodyweight the next few days. Even for breakfast!! Breakfast seems to be their busiest. The outside patios are huge, open, airy and of course, ocean views. There's a lot of wait time for those seats. But the staff is quite nice that they always obliged my request. Even got sat next to their garden and chili plant!! All the peppers!!! I ate them!!! And I like them! Breakfast food was also surprisingly good too. The omelette station being my favorite. You can add whatever you want! I like mine just plain with spinach or mushroom and some peppers! It was good. The sweets are plenty. I don't do cereal but they had a lot of those. For lunch, the ceviche station was my favorite. It's made to order. Tako! Salmon! Camarones! So many choices. And taco station is also right outside on the patio! The spices are bomb.Com!! Dinner they have themes. Usually it's a totally off theme. But you can find the basic stuff so I was fine with it. The Caribbean night wasn't quite Caribbean's. Or steak and seafood. Champagne is always bottomless. I tip one of my waiter and he was my buddy for rest of the trip. Brought me jalapeños, habaneros!! Brought me 2 lattes at a time!! We didn't speak the same language but we spoke food! Overall, this was the best restaurant in Hyatt Ziva! Super clean too. And you changed this anti buffet person to a buffet person!!

The restaurant is literally right on the beach, so you can sit down for dinner and watch the sunset over the ocean--one of the best settings in the Zona Romántica. The buffet is excellent, with a wide variety of options ranging from Mexican dishes to Italian, so there's something for everyone. One of my favorite parts was the taco station, where you can order tacos made fresh to your liking. As a hotel guest, I also received a free drink, which was a great bonus and really appreciated. What I loved most is how effortless the experience was. After a long, exhausting travel day--flight delays, customs, and the chaos of finding transportation at the airport--this place was exactly what I needed. No overthinking, no stress, just sit down, eat what you want, and relax by the ocean. The service is excellent. Multiple waiters circulate consistently, clearing plates and checking in to see if you need anything. It feels attentive without being intrusive. The dessert selection was also impressive--lots of choices and a perfect way to end the meal. And once you're done eating, you can immediately walk along the beach or head toward the pier to enjoy the ocean air and walk off that full feeling. Overall, Mi Pueblito is the perfect spot for a relaxed beachfront dinner, especially if you're tired from travel or just want an easy, enjoyable meal with a beautiful sunset view. I would definitely recommend it.

They have both restaurants and beachside dining. I'm not sure if beachside is available for lunch but dinner for sure. It's a pretty big restaurant that connects to a hotel. For breakfast which we arrived, they were offering a buffet. It was pretty reasonable but opted for a la carte dish. Plenty of tables as it was mid week. Staff all were pretty friendly. Breakfast menu, they did have a good selection of items to choose from. The only downfall, it took a long while for the waiter to come back and take our order. Didn't want to flag him down as we just relaxing and enjoying people watching. Also, if you're along the front, you will likely be approached with vendors offering you trinket, jewelry, drugs of some and so on. It's like being in the beach... When we finally ordered, that took some time to arrive as well ...Lol... Majority of the guest seemed to be enjoying the buffet but the table behind us ordered a La carte as well. Which they arrived way after us but the food all came at the same time. Breakfast, traditional but good. The shrimp omelette was tasty as well as the Benedict. Believe they used biscuits versus English muffins but still good. Salad was also brought to accompany the meal. The vibe is good. Chill and relaxing. Food did take some time but we were there lounging and enjoying the view. There's a main stage area which assume they have live music. Also restrooms are towards the back where the pool area that's connected to the hotel is. You'll noticed the place with the faux bougainvillea tree in the front.

Chips and three salsas come gratis. The pineapple habanero was a little hot for my tastebuds, but it had good flavor. The chipotle salsa was appropriately smoky and might've been my favorite. The green was more mild and fresh and also very good. I ordered three tacos: grilled shrimp, grilled fish, and the hibiscus flower and panela cheese. The waitress let me try a piece of the cheese before ordering since I'd never had panela before which I appreciated. That taco was probably my least favorite of the three- texture, not taste, but I like to try new things, so I'm glad I got it. There was a toppings bar for taco add-ons: limes, cucumbers, cabbage, onions, and cilantro. Nice to be able to customize. Very reasonable cost, good flavor, good service, good atmosphere.

Had to walk for a while to find a working ATM. Started with the guacamole which was good (although we'd had way better in the afternoon from a little cafe near our hotel). The restaurant is open-aire, so you enjoy the surf and the sea life right from your table. The Happy Hour bell rings right at noon - and I drop everything to get up there! Great daily specials! Always fun trying something new. Gosh, this was the cheapest restaurant meal I've had in Puerto Vallarta by far...89 pesos (under US $5) for 2 selections including fried rice/chow mein. There are tables (all filled) but no table service. I ordered takeout. Selections are laid out cafeteria style on steamer trays. I picked pork short ribs (more bone than meat but tasty and the sauce is good) and whole stir fry shrimp (a bit spicy and really good flavors). I couldn't decide between fried rice or chow mein, so the woman said half/half. Both were decent, maybe a bit too salty, but the entrees are the stars of the show. This may be a true hole in the wall place off the beaten track, but is definitely a place I'd seek out again. It's a block from the Malecon and easy to get to!
