Mi Pueblito is attached to Playa Los Arcos Hotel & Beach Resort, and the location alone makes it worth visiting. The restaurant is literally right on the beach, so you can sit down for dinner and watch the sunset over the ocean--one of the best settings in the Zona Romántica. The buffet is excellent, with a wide variety of options ranging from Mexican dishes to Italian, so there's something for everyone. One of my favorite parts was the taco station, where you can order tacos made fresh to your liking. As a hotel guest, I also received a free drink, which was a great bonus and really appreciated. What I loved most is how effortless the experience was. After a long, exhausting travel day--flight delays, customs, and the chaos of finding transportation at the airport--this place was exactly what I needed. No overthinking, no stress, just sit down, eat what you want, and relax by the ocean. The service is excellent. Multiple waiters circulate consistently, clearing plates and checking in to see if you need anything. It feels attentive without being intrusive. The dessert selection was also impressive--lots of choices and a perfect way to end the meal. And once you're done eating, you can immediately walk along the beach or head toward the pier to enjoy the ocean air and walk off that full feeling. Overall, Mi Pueblito is the perfect spot for a relaxed beachfront dinner, especially if you're tired from travel or just want an easy, enjoyable meal with a beautiful sunset view. Another restaurant along the main waterfront of the city. It's also a tourist trap as tourists likely to see staff ushering you in. Clearly it worked as we stopped in for a meal. They have both restaurants and beachside dining. I'm not sure if beachside is available for lunch but dinner for sure. It's a pretty big restaurant that connects to a hotel. For breakfast which we arrived, they were offering a buffet. It was pretty reasonable but opted for a la carte dish. Plenty of tables as it was mid week. Staff all were pretty friendly. Breakfast menu, they did have a good selection of items to choose from. The only downfall, it took a long while for the waiter to come back and take our order. Didn't want to flag him down as we just relaxing and enjoying people watching. Also, if you're along the front, you will likely be approached with vendors offering you trinket, jewelry, drugs of some and so on. It's like being in the beach... When we finally ordered, that took some time to arrive as well ...Lol... Majority of the guest seemed to be enjoying the buffet but the table behind us ordered a La carte as well. Which they arrived way after us but the food all came at the same time. Breakfast, traditional but good. The shrimp omelette was tasty as well as the Benedict. Believe they used biscuits versus English muffins but still good. Salad was also brought to accompany the meal. The vibe is good. Chill and relaxing. Food did take some time but we were there lounging and enjoying the view. There's a main stage area which assume they have live music. We were walking along the Malecón and the beautiful decor drew us in. We knew it would be a tourist trap, but from the looks of the restaurant, I at least expected the food to be good. Boy was I wrong!! At least we knew better and skipped the Buffet. I took a look and it didn't take long to decide against it. Unfortunately, ordering from the menu wasn't any better. We ordered the Chilaquiles and Machaca. The Chilaquiles were soggy and the flavor was just not good and the meat in the Machaca was most definitely not fresh. It had obviously been reheated to the point where there was some crispiness, which is not something desirable in Machaca. The flavor was also completely lacking. Both plates were so bad, we couldn't even finish them. The service was better than the food, but not great. Such a disappointment! read more

Pretty good! I really enjoy the healthy breakfast which I've now had twice this week. It comes with green juice which isn't mentioned on the menu description and the fruit varies depending on the day. SO had a sausage and cheese omelet the first day which was not very good because it was basically hot dogs and that awful, fake cheese product. He had the machaca Notrtena this time which came with freshly made flour tortillas which were delicious and had a fantastic chew. The machaca was a much better choice. This place is lovely and beachfront but prices are very reasonable. Service was good. The worst thing about it is if you are seated near the street, vendors will walk by and try to sell you shit while you are trying to eat. Seriously, they have that little respect for you. This is a wonderful spot for travelers to dine on a budget and it was included in the package with our hotel. We were able to eat at the buffet daily and just had to leave a tip for the wait staff. That's a darn good deal from where we sat. The space is large and very clean. All the staff are constantly cleaning and making sure the space is prepared for diners. I love that so much! The food options are all but endless. If you want a healthier start to the day, you can opt for fresh-cooked oatmeal, fresh sliced tropical fruit, and the best bananas I have ever had. Or, you can get down with the delicious Mexican food, like eggs and bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc. Or, you can have an omelet made fresh to order, or some Sunnyside eggs. All the food was fresh and flavorful. Although the options are plentiful, it's not 3 Michelin star food, so know that going in, and you will not be disappointed. read more

We opted to come here for breakfast after walking by it admiring it for several days. We fell in love with the decor and it reminded us of vanderpumps in las vegas. We opted to eat the breakfast buffet so we made sure we were extra hungry. I ordered a iced coffee and it was quite watery and I would skip it. I added baileys which made it a bit better but not the best by any means. As for the food on the buffet line, my husband ate his fill on omelets and was satisfied. I tried a few different dishes from the buffet. The chilaquiles were soggy and the "poached eggs" were cooked solid so it was more of a hard boiled egg. The quesadilla station had only 3 topping options, all vegetarian and the tortillas were corn so overall it left you wanting more. We agreed if we returned we would order off the menu rather than the buffet as the food looked far better quality. read more

After years of visiting PVR in the Hotel Zone (Fiesta Americana area), we happened to discover Old Town, which is south from the water front bridge at the river. There were so many restaurants. We decided to try Mi Pueblito. Looked at the menu outside and decided to do the buffet, which includes 1 drink each. What an excellent choice! So many items to choose from. The chicken teriyaki was made right in front of us, and it was delicious. A decent selection of desserts. Could have had a couple more salad dressing choices than the 2 we saw. Old Town is a great find and Mi Pueblito was a great choice. read more

Finally, about 20 minutes later, we asked a waiter if we could order and he said "no, our waiters are trying to go home." So, we left. We will not go back. Good luck if you try this place. read more

Service is an absolute travesty. Went for the $135 a plate new years dinner and shows. The waiter came by and took several orders but failed to return with them. Took an order never returned asked another waiter for the bottle of water suddenly original waiter appears with it. Said he was on break (over twenty minutes). Went an hour without him returning to our table at one point. Claimed he was busy with other tables. All other waiters seemed to be doing okay. Only our table and section had issues. Even after a conversation with management. Several guests in our section left before the festivities some went to the bar for self service after no service. Will not return. It actually got hilarious as when we had the opportunity to order and twenty minutes later he would return asking if we needed anything, without serving the previous request. Horrendous! read more

I was here last year n had the fiesta Mexicana, it was not the best buffet but the best in this price range, it had pozole which I liked and included a free Margarita and a 45min folkloric show, it was enjoyable all for $19. This year I stay at the Playa Los Arcos where this restaurant is located n bought the breakfast package. It was a mistake as it was not at all edible except for the egg ranchero, the coffee was so lame I couldn't drink it. The dinner buffet was pathetic, full of flies making it hazardous to your health but apparently it's full of flies everywhere else. It's the same old food every night, because of the credit from the breakfast cancellation I was stuck eating lame food for 3 meals. Tonight I ordered lobster bisque, it was very salty n not much else, no taste of the wine it was supposed to be made with. Their margarita was really bad, I should have ordered a coke. Their rib eye tasted like cardboard, what were they thinking? The only reason it was a 3 stars was because of the beautiful setting, open air to watch sunset n people watching. I'm undecided as to whether I want to come back here because the hotel location is unique. read more

Better than average, medium-priced buffet breakfast, offering tasty Mexican fare consisting of chilaquiles, refried beans, scrambled eggs, machaca, white rice, sweet bread, Mexican French bread, fresh fruit, made to order omelettes, roast chicken. We stopped here for happy hour (1-3 PM) a few times within the last week. The margarita's are tasty and B1G1 during HH. Most of the waiters do a great job. On our last visit we changed seats once a smaller table towards the boardwalk came available. We were approached by a waiter who stated that the table was serviced by a different waiter and we could either continue to use the other server or pay him off so the assigned server could wait on us. We chose to pay the tab and tip the other server. I'm not a big drinker so I tried to order a mocha but the machine was broken the 2 different times I requested one. I chose to drink the margarita and added some water to it so I can sip and enjoy without drinking too much. My husband caught the attention of our server so we can order another drink and a snack. The waiter chose to ignore us for a good 1/2 hour. Maybe he was mad about the water added to my drink? We we're finally approached by another waiter after 3 PM but we decided to move on. I'm not sure what the game was but he lost and the restaurant lost out on another sale. There are plenty of other places to get food and drinks from. The bathrooms are always clean. read more

Another restaurant chosen by our friends for our final breakfast of our 2017 vacay. ATMOSPHERE: This is another beach-front spot along the Malecon. While they have no on-sand seating, it's open-air and has great views of the beach. Towards the back of the restaurant was a stage and sunken area which looked like a dance floor with surrounding seating. BREAKFAST MENU: Breakfast buffet or Mexican & American fare from the menu. The buffet included empanada & fruit stations, along with the traditional buffet offerings but no omelette station. We scanned the buffet but weren't impressed, so we ordered off the menu. FOOD: Empanadas - I really love these things but they were available only at the buffet. Our server was nice enough to let us grab a plate anyway. They were made with corn tortillas and were filled with a mild-flavored cheese. Eh. Where's the meat? Omelette - I got my favorite ingredients of ham, mushroom, green peppers, and cheese. It was very runny and tasteless, regardless of the salty fillers. The tiny helping of hash browns were barely grilled so it lacked any color or crunch. Absolutely disappointing. Waffle - The batter was a bit dark, wheaty tasting, and dry. Fresh strawberries and whipped cream topped the dehydrated waffle. Strike three, you're out. Friendly service with a great location on the beach. Good for people watching while you wait for your meal. Keep in mind outdoors means experiencing the smells that come with it, including nearby smokers. Servers were friendly, but that was the high point. Food was average at best. We stopped in and had a decent experience. You come here for the view, not the food. The margaritas were strong and reasonably priced, and we enjoyed the complimentary chips and spicy salsa and the most amazing grilled sweet bread. We ordered the coconut shrimp because why not and it was fresh and delicious. It's fun to sit outdoors and watch the waves and all the vendors trying to sell you stuff. My friends and I had lunch here when we went on vacation in Puerto Vallarta last year. I ordered a big ass fish here, and they give the whole thing including the head. Yikes! I feel weird consuming something with the head intact, so I wish they'd remove it first before presenting it to the customer. I give this place a 3.5 for the location and the service. I didn't care for the snapper. I thought it was okay! I do like the atmosphere, and being by the beach is wonderful. If I were to eat here again, I'd probably will try something else. read more

The waffle was OK... nothing really to garner much comment. The fruit, as we have found, was super fresh and wonderful. Service was so slow I actually got nervous that our guy left with my credit card. The location is nice,right on the beach, which also means you are subject to sidewalk vendors of all kinds, cigar and cigarette smoke and listening to pitches about how great their restaurant is. This is a great little spot to get a "no-frills" bite and margarita by the pier. The guac was good, and the salsa de casa "house made hot sauce" really made it enjoyable. My wife got fish tacos which I helped her with, they were OK, not great. They also let us do the 2 for 1 drinks and get different drinks, which it turns out is unusual in Mexico, at least based on our experience, which was really nice because I was in a Margarita mood and the wife was hung up on Mai Tais. The price was very reasonable for the location, and our service was good. All in all, I'd stop in again if I were in the area. read more

Wonderful location and one of the prettier places on the beach in PV. The food is very much hit or miss but was quite good for us in the dishes that worked. The shrimp aguaschiles was outstanding, think of a spicy ceviche but better and well with a try if you like seafood and spice. I would've rather gone elsewhere, but hey it wasn't too bad. Our waitress was great, though she only picked up after us since we did the buffet - 246 pesos for the buffet. It was decent. I mean, I did have seconds..... They had a really pleasant live show going w dancers and singers. It made dinner pleasant. I liked the ambiance; but I would most definitely not recommend the place. Where to begin...this place was by far one of our favorite places to eat, sit and relax or just chill with a beverage and the BEST guacamole!! Right on the walkway with easy access to everything. The staff we superb. They even remember what we liked to drink. With all the hundreds of people coming in and out, that's amazing. Plus we were only in PV for a week.
