    Sausage and cheese omelette
    Maren B.

Pretty good! I really enjoy the healthy breakfast which I've now had twice this week. It comes with green juice which isn't mentioned on the menu description and the fruit varies depending on the day. SO had a sausage and cheese omelet the first day which was not very good because it was basically hot dogs and that awful, fake cheese product. He had the machaca Notrtena this time which came with freshly made flour tortillas which were delicious and had a fantastic chew. The machaca was a much better choice. This place is lovely and beachfront but prices are very reasonable. Service was good. The worst thing about it is if you are seated near the street, vendors will walk by and try to sell you shit while you are trying to eat. Seriously, they have that little respect for you. Better to sit farther inside if you can.

I was here last year n had the fiesta Mexicana, it was not the best buffet but the best in this price range, it had pozole which I liked and included a free Margarita and a 45min folkloric show, it was enjoyable all for $19. This year I stay at the Playa Los Arcos where this restaurant is located n bought the breakfast package. It was a mistake as it was not at all edible except for the egg ranchero, the coffee was so lame I couldn't drink it. The dinner buffet was pathetic, full of flies making it hazardous to your health but apparently it's full of flies everywhere else. It's the same old food every night, because of the credit from the breakfast cancellation I was stuck eating lame food for 3 meals. Tonight I ordered lobster bisque, it was very salty n not much else, no taste of the wine it was supposed to be made with. Their margarita was really bad, I should have ordered a coke. Their rib eye tasted like cardboard, what were they thinking? The only reason it was a 3 stars was because of the beautiful setting, open air to watch sunset n people watching. I'm undecided as to whether I want to come back here because the hotel location is unique.

Enjoyed our meals at Mi Pueblito although I was craving lobster and they didn't have any that day.. everything was very tasty and very nicely presented. Service is as also very good

Omelette (Ham, Mushroom, Cheese & Green Peppers). Runny & tasteless - VN

Another restaurant chosen by our friends for our final breakfast of our 2017 vacay. ATMOSPHERE: This is another beach-front spot along the Malecon. While they have no on-sand seating, it's open-air and has great views of the beach. Towards the back of the restaurant was a stage and sunken area which looked like a dance floor with surrounding seating. BREAKFAST MENU: Breakfast buffet or Mexican & American fare from the menu. The buffet included empanada & fruit stations, along with the traditional buffet offerings but no omelette station. We scanned the buffet but weren't impressed, so we ordered off the menu. FOOD: Empanadas - I really love these things but they were available only at the buffet. Our server was nice enough to let us grab a plate anyway. They were made with corn tortillas and were filled with a mild-flavored cheese. Eh. Where's the meat? Omelette - I got my favorite ingredients of ham, mushroom, green peppers, and cheese. It was very runny and tasteless, regardless of the salty fillers. The tiny helping of hash browns were barely grilled so it lacked any color or crunch. Absolutely disappointing. Waffle - The batter was a bit dark, wheaty tasting, and dry. Fresh strawberries and whipped cream topped the dehydrated waffle. Strike three, you're out. SERVICE: Our male server was a cool cat, allowing me to try the empanadas! He was friendly and professional. OVERALL: Nice views, good service, lackluster breakfast.

Loved it here! Was amazing. Dinner on the beach was kinda pricey but, so beyond beautiful and worth. The lobster was just perfect. The champagne was great. The dessert was spectacular. The music was great. LOVED IT! It was an unforgettable dinner

Best beach vendor ever: the donut man!

We were looking for a beachfront place to take a break and have a drink and bar snacks in Puerto Vallarta and Mi Pueblito had the most beautiful outdoor patio! We stopped in and had a decent experience. You come here for the view, not the food. The margaritas were strong and reasonably priced, and we enjoyed the complimentary chips and spicy salsa and the most amazing grilled sweet bread. We ordered the coconut shrimp because why not and it was fresh and delicious. It's fun to sit outdoors and watch the waves and all the vendors trying to sell you stuff. Our favorite was the donut guy, he totally did tempt us!

When it comes to breakfast, there is a person who makes homemade corn tortillas and has a few different options. You can make it a quesadilla (add cheese) or have a taco (no cheese), but the tortilla is the star of the show here. I pretty much hit up this area every morning as I was addicted to those delicious corn tortillas. Some of the meats I combined with those great tortillas were pastor, carne en su jugo (basically asada in a green sauce/juice), pork chamorro, and another I'm forgetting. It changed up every day, but there was always a tasty option. Inside the actual buffet, they had an egg station where you could make omelets or eggs cooked to order. There were plenty of other options like pancakes/waffles, fruit, yogurts, cottage cheese, juices, etc. but I pretty much stuck to the homemade tortillas. Their fresh fruit was also very tasty and refreshing (papaya was not very good but all else was great). When it came to the lunch, there wasn't a lot of appetizing items (to me), but again they had a meat station where they would usually do tacos cooked to order and those were delicious. They also had asada, chicken and sausages in that same area which you could make tacos out of. At lunch there was a pretty large dessert display too and ice cream to where you could make a little cup or cone of ice cream. Even though a lot of the things did not look very appetizing to me, the things that did were actually very good so I give it 4 stars overall. Service here was a little slow at times when trying to get more water, but the food was quite good if you hit the right spots. This became our regular breakfast spot due to the variety it offered (and those delicious tortillas). Would definitely eat there again.

Buffet all day!!!…read more First all inclusive hotel. And first buffet that I like. A lot of firsts. Hyatt Ziva is gorgeous. 5 restaurants, wine bar, pool bars, swim up bars. I was not planning to hit the buffet at all with all the options they have. But glad I did. This ended up being my favorite spot on the property. And goto food spot after my sit down meals at their other spots: even that fancy across the door. So! My first time here was the ceviche! I was looking for ceviche everywhere on the property and this was where I found it. After my crappy Brazilian steak house meal. Naturally I ate more!! And ate ceviche in my bodyweight the next few days. Even for breakfast!! Breakfast seems to be their busiest. The outside patios are huge, open, airy and of course, ocean views. There's a lot of wait time for those seats. But the staff is quite nice that they always obliged my request. Even got sat next to their garden and chili plant!! All the peppers!!! I ate them!!! And I like them! Breakfast food was also surprisingly good too. The omelette station being my favorite. You can add whatever you want! I like mine just plain with spinach or mushroom and some peppers! It was good. The sweets are plenty. I don't do cereal but they had a lot of those. For lunch, the ceviche station was my favorite. It's made to order. Tako! Salmon! Camarones! So many choices. And taco station is also right outside on the patio! The spices are bomb.Com!! Dinner they have themes. Usually it's a totally off theme. But you can find the basic stuff so I was fine with it. The Caribbean night wasn't quite Caribbean's. Or steak and seafood. Champagne is always bottomless. I tip one of my waiter and he was my buddy for rest of the trip. Brought me jalapeños, habaneros!! Brought me 2 lattes at a time!! We didn't speak the same language but we spoke food! Overall, this was the best restaurant in Hyatt Ziva! Super clean too. And you changed this anti buffet person to a buffet person!!

There have been changes over the years, but many of the core wait staff and bartenders are still there, always remembering us, and always treating us as friends. The restaurant is open-aire, so you enjoy the surf and the sea life right from your table. We had the extreme pleasure of watching a baby whale swimming and playing right in front of the restaurant one morning. Absolutely phenomenal! The Happy Hour bell rings right at noon - and I drop everything to get up there! Great daily specials! Always fun trying something new. The bell rings again at 4:30, which is perfect since we eat early dinners to watch the sunset from our table. The menu is consistent and the food is delicious - try the fresh fish options! Chips and three salsas come gratis. The pineapple habanero was a little hot for my tastebuds, but it had good flavor. The chipotle salsa was appropriately smoky and might've been my favorite. The green was more mild and fresh and also very good. I ordered three tacos: grilled shrimp, grilled fish, and the hibiscus flower and panela cheese. The waitress let me try a piece of the cheese before ordering since I'd never had panela before which I appreciated. That taco was probably my least favorite of the three- texture, not taste, but I like to try new things, so I'm glad I got it. Gosh, this was the cheapest restaurant meal I've had in Puerto Vallarta by far...89 pesos (under US $5) for 2 selections including fried rice/chow mein. There are tables (all filled) but no table service. I ordered takeout. Selections are laid out cafeteria style on steamer trays. I picked pork short ribs (more bone than meat but tasty and the sauce is good) and whole stir fry shrimp (a bit spicy and really good flavors). I couldn't decide between fried rice or chow mein, so the woman said half/half. Both were decent, maybe a bit too salty, but the entrees are the stars of the show.
