Stumbled into this place at the marina place after the other place that only accepts cash only. Very nice, elegant, clean, upscale and with the view of the marina. Very professional, nice and very friendly service with smiles. The foods are good but not as you would expected, especially when you known the Argentinian cuisine well. We went here for my kid's bday and we got a grant welcome and grant service beyond you expected. My kid enjoyed the foods, the services, and the place overall. We just very happy overall. Yes, the prices can be on the high end, but it worth it. Heard the pizzas are great here but we did have enough room for it, definitely will come back next time for it. We had a wonderful dinner here after a long day of snorkeling. The service was top notch and the food was outstanding. I got the traditional vacio Argentinian steak and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The side of mashed potatoes was also very good. My wife got the Hawaiian pizza which was more than big enough for one person and pretty good quality for a steak house. We stumbled into this restaurant after walking around the marina and it was a happy accident. Attentive staff, speak both English and Spanish. I could see the fire roaring in the back so I knew I'd have to try their pizza. It did not disappoint. Starting off strong, the wait staff was excellent. Very kind. Very attentive. As someone who lived in Buenos Aires, the food was disappointing. I came here because I realized the restaurant that I wanted to go to was close to a one hour drive from my hotel. I think I should have gone on that drive rather than find the nearest Argentine restaurant near me. The potatoes on the au gratin weren't cooked well and were dry. The provoleta was not a true provoleta, IYKYK. The calamari were good. They were tempura fried, but tasty. My flank steak was more like a beef skirt. It was overcooked. Dessert was interesting. We had the crepes with dulce de leches and bananas. Alone the dessert was ok but pro-tip order some vanilla ice cream and it will level up the dessert. Last, if you enjoy a chocolate martini, they make a good one here. Sadly, this place was empty during our entire dinner. They have a nice courtyard for al fresco dining, but we opted to sit inside. While in PV and looking for strong meat options decided to give Rincon a try. I am a big sweetbread fan so went with those and wanted to give the bone marrow a shot too. Also went with the skirt steak and was excellent and a large piece of meat that we could not finish and made for takeaway The sweet breads too were cooked to perfection. The bone marrow was interesting and a unique taste for sure Our waiter was super nice and informative and invited me to the back of the restaurant to look at the wood fired pizza ovens which I know I would like to try on another visit. Service on all levels was tops A very clean and nicely appointed room and the seats most comfortable Rincon proved to be another great option to the wonderful food and restaurant opportunities in PV. Found this place while searching on Yelp. It is located by the marina near the north hotel zone. Service was attentive and prompt. Staff does speak English. Drinks came quicky and food was served just a fast as the steak was prepared. Steak was tender and juicy. I ordered rare but came medium rare instead. The mushroom were done to perfection with sauteed onions. I ordered dessert and espresso. Unfortunately we will never go back as the owner was so incredibly rude to us and refused to help us get a taxi back to our resort. First of all, the place is beautiful inside and they have great air conditioning for those hot days. They have a good view of the Marina and boats that are parked outside. We had beer, wine and tequila - very reasonable prices. We also ordered 3 empanadas and these were the BEST empanadas we have ever had. The fillings were so amazing and the outside crust was so flaky and light. We are always on the lookout for a place to call "our place," a place we can return to. I think this restaurant has made our list. My wife ordered the filet with pesto pasta, and I ordered the pasta with mussels, octopus, scallops, and maybe some other kind of seafood. Both were excellent. The drinks were great as well. There was a guy playing acoustic guitar and singing. He was not an incredible talent, but it made for a nice intimate atmosphere. My good friend brought a couple of us to this restaurant. It's a great location right on the harbor with beautiful views. My friend ordered the prime rib but refused to eat as it was over cooked, tasteless and unappetizing. Although the service was more than adequate, the server refused to take it off the bill. If Steak and Seafood delights your taste buds, Rincon de Buenos Aires Argentinian Steak House is a must try! I've been there twice, and my experience has been phenomenal! On my first visit, I had the Steak and Turf. The steaks are grilled to your preference (I prefer mine medium-well), and the shrimp was tasty! They have a chilli sauce and a chimichurri sauce which I absolutely love with my steak! I mix the two sauces together, slather it on top of my steak and indulge. One of the host said the chilli sauce was spicy but I personally did not think it was spicy; others might think differently so just be aware and give it a taste before soaking your steak in chilli sauce. Food was served within 15 - 20 minutes. My recommended drinks are the Sangria and Pina Colada (non-alcoholics go with the Pinta Colada!) Seating area is enclosed and located by the pier. The atmosphere is romantic, lights were dim, staff was friendly and consistently check on me to make sure my food was good. With the Puerto Vallarta heat, casual wear is acceptable. WiFi is not available. Lastly, for two people expect to spend around $40 - $60. Credit Cards are accepted! read more

My husband and I have been coming to PV for 30 years. We love the marina and dining at the many wonderful restaurants. We dined tonight at Rincon De Buenos. The Hostess was extremely rude. We went early and there was open view tables. She refused to seat us in those tables because she said they were reserved. During the duration of our meal no-one sat there. When someone finally sat there we came to learn they had no reservation. The dinner was the most expensive meal we have had in a week of being in PV. The steak was paper thin, the potato never came with the meal until we finally asked for it. We ordered a Caesar salad and got a warm green salad. My husband was sick when we got back to our room. Don't go to this restaurant! We come to Mexico because the people are warm and friendly. The decor inside was a strange mix between Italian, Mexican, and racist blackface paintings. While we were waiting for our food an old man sat down at the table across with us with his small lap dog. He ordered a alcoholic drink and split it with his dog. The wait for our food was somewhere between 1-1 1/2 hours. They kept insisting the food was coming out. Once the food did come out it looked amazing, however, looks can be deceiving. Our food was terrible, undercooked, over seasoned, and not fresh (from a can). While we were eating the waiter would come by and try to be classy by pulling out his metal breadcrumb scraper only to just push the crumbs off the side of the table on the floor. We have been going to Buenos Aires for over 20 years and make it a point to eat there New Years Eve as this is one of the few restaurants that does not have a fixed menu. We were there last night and made reservations for or 20th New Years Eve dinner with our family on our annual 2 week vacation. This year they still do not have a set menu but a 300 peso per pErson surcharge. 300 pesos for a paper hat and 12 frozen grapes? You have taken a great family tradition and ruined it with your greed to make more money. The surcharge would have been more than US $150 just to eat dinner. The mussels were very good, as was my Long Island Iced tea. I got the 12oz ribeye and it was probably the thinnest steak I have ever had at about 3/8". It was cooked well on the one half and overcooked on the other. I'd have a hard time believing it was 12oz and at least 1/4 of it was fat. I got the baked potato with it and perhaps the potatoes are different in Mexico, but it had a sweet musky flavor, which along with the cheese on it (similar to a goat cheese) made it inedible for me. My wife got the NY Strip special and the potato. Her steak was ok, but same thing with the potato. At ~400 pesos for each steak, it was not worth the cost.
