When he retired, however, this superior service that I had come to expect retired with him. The new relationship I attempted to foster there for trade related services left me stung, harmed, & wary. This is a family operation, Just like Mack Blythe's business was. You can go in and you will be met by a team of friends, family & associates. I ended up not liking the flooring I had anticipated coming in to buy and then the second option I wanted wasn't in stock so it took a while to pick something I liked that would also fit our lifestyle (aka scratch resistant, waterproof, less slippery, not too dark, no grey hues, not too light!). He was patient and very sweet with my dogs. My contractor wasn't responding regarding a time to schedule delivery so I planned to call and order over the phone the next day however the Home Depot system wouldn't allow me to when I tried. If it wasn't for Nathan, I would have ordered online at this point but I gave up $115 in Capital One rewards so that I could go BACK to the store later in the week to order in person and give my $2800 business to the actual location since he had been so helpful. So far, I have had to purchase two different kinds of paint because the lady at the paint counter sold me the wrong type of paint for my bathroom ceiling. She assured me it was the right kind but, it was not. It is not returnable. I am out $45 for that unusable paint. I had to return a side splash for my vanity last night (Not Home Depot's fault) and the two people at customer service acted as if I was an inconvenience and interrupting their conversation. I also asked for information on where I could locate a certain item in the store and his response was, "I guess it's on aisle two." It was not on aisle two. I roamed that store looking for what I needed and never saw a single person to ask for help. I have been nothing but disappointed with Home Depot. Once I make my final payment on my expensive bathroom vanity, I will be closing my Home Depot credit card and exclusively shopping at Lowes.
