There was no pressure, and I noticed his attention to detail and quality. After getting estimates from other companies, Concept Materials had a competitive estimate and I felt they would do the best quality work. This job involved replacing a cheap vinyl wood floor with durable SPC. The scope was a living room, 4 steps, and a hallway. Each day two guys arrived on time. Because the subfloor was not flat, they had to pour concrete to level the floor. Overall, they did an excellent job and cleaned everything well. Like many projects there were some unexpected issues, and Gene handled each issue quickly with a good solution.

They're WAY overpriced. We worked with them to try to get the project started for three weeks then gave up. They wanted 100% of our money before the project even began. We ended up going through Whole Wood in San Carlos for our hardwood and we worked with Rolando Lopez at Pure Wood Flooring to complete the project. They were amazing! No joke, we got more done in one day with them than three weeks with the Floor Store. Stay far away from the Floor Store unless you want overpriced material and slow, ineffective communication.

The front door was especially tricky because it was installed too low by someone else. He did some grinding on the high spots and used leveling compound on other areas and even managed to make things work around the door. The hardwood floors he installed are gorgeous and you would never know what a disaster we had started with. He is on the job himself much of the time supervising his employee and they both have positive attitudes and really care about craftsmanship. He charges a fair price and at the end he found that the square footage was a little less than either of us had measured so the bill was a little less. This level of honesty is really appreciated.

Never again. Small…read morekitchen project was a nightmare. We started last Thursday 10/16/25. We were told it's a one day project (kitchen is approx 106 sqft) Took the day off moved appliances only for the job to not be completed. Missing transition pieces. They come back the next day (another day we took off from work- we both work out of the house). Pieces that were brought were clearly the wrong color. I feel like they were trying to make a quick fix we didn't agree to those pieces when finally someone admits to their wrong doing (they never ordered the transition pieces in the first place). right pieces are order but won't be here until Tuesday. So we wait another 4 days. Upon further inspection over the weekend I notice toe kicks weren't replaced correctly their uneven and off set. I notice chalking everywhere and just crappy work. We brought it to their attention and on day 6 it was semi corrected. But we are going to have to re do at our time and cost all of the toe kicks and quarter rounds. Back to Tuesday 10/ 22/25. Wrong pieces again with no solution but to come back Thursday. Thursday they bring new pieces but it still looks terrible. They're a flooring company. Better solutions should be available. Other pet peeevs. They left my garage a mess duand garbage on the side of my house never picked. We ended up dumping it on our garbage day. We are underwhelmed and so frustrated. Save your time. Go else where. Attached are pictures of all of the work that is currently damaged or falling apart. It's going to cost us to get it fixed plus and time. The finishing work matters to us
