Every single time that I walk in my house, I regret the day that I decided to use Carpet land to laminate our floors. They did a terrible job, and it sounds like we are walking on gravel. The cracking sounds are so loud that when we walk in the hallway, my babies wake from their nap during the day or from their sleep during night. It is frustrating and stressful. I have contacted Vartan multiple times but there has been no resolution. He hasn't even come to see what the problem is. We think it's the installation that was done terribly but based on what I explained, he said it should be the laminate and that he'll send an email to the factory. First time I called, he said he'll email the factory for warranty, and we have to wait to hear from the factory. Second time I called to follow up, it seemed like he didn't even sent email at all... He refused to give me the contact information for the warranty so I can contact them directly. Also, when I looked at the packing, there was no contact information for warranty. So, all the warranty talks during sale is just BS. It's been several months, and I've called 4 times but have heard nothing back from them or the laminate company. Terrible business. Terrible customer service. I would never trust them with my remodeling businesses anymore. (Just as FYI, we had laminate floors before and there were no sounds. We just finished having our entire house floors done.we love it. The owner and his wife are terrific. They worked with our budget and we found their prices to be so much h better than all the big box stores we got estimates from. The crew who did the work were fantastic. They showed up exactly on time, worked hard , cleaned up everything and were just really nice. I had all my questions and concerns addressed.it took a day and a half to get it all done. I have been working with Vartan at Carpetland Mills for over 10 years with no problems but was very disappointed with the last job he completed for me. In early October 2017, I purchased a $4,000+ carpet job. The carpet arrived a week later like Vartan promised but he couldn't commit to an install date. I kept calling him over and over again for a week and he wouldn't take my calls. I finally drove down to the store and he apologized and said he's focused on a sick family member. I noticed my carpet was hanging out of a van parked in front of his store. I asked him if that was my carpet and he said yes it's ready to be installed and I keep asking well whats the problem?? More days pass and no call from Vartan and again I'm calling, calling and he's dodging me again. I dont understand the problem and he keeps making excuses. Finally, in late October Vartan says the installers will be at my house on November 2. I arrange the movers to bring in my furniture on November 3 only to be called on November 2 and be told by Vartan that the installer got into an accident and there would be no install as scheduled... I'm growing extremely frustrated by this time and Vartan says his two best guys will work overtime and get it done for me on Nov 3. We come in the next morning and see the installers have done an atrocious job. The pattern isnt centered in the hallway, the seams are highly frayed and visible, and there are areas where the carpet wasn't stretched properly. I couldn't believe it. So I call and text Vartan please come down and look at this horrible work your two best guys did. No answer. It's the holidays now and I'm calling and sending Vartan texts and he finally responds that he is dealing with funeral arrangements but promises he'll get back to me and fix everything after the new year. I text him in January hey its the new year lets meet up and here it is late February and nothing. Since then I've had two separate carpet professionals out to see the work and both have said it can't be fixed. It's so poorly cut and installed it just needs to be pulled out and redone. I cut Vartan slack because of the sick family member story and our positive relationship prior to this incident but at this point I have no alternative but to seek legal remedy. read more

Our first experience was good with this company but our second experience of getting wood floors installed was a nightmare. The installer messed up several places with holes in the floor but didn't want to deal with his mistakes. The kitchen floor was the worst as it was not installed properly. The installers solution was to inject glue in the floor which left several holes in it. Overall the installer's behavior was unprofessional, unpleasant and rude. No Thank You! We will not return to this store. Lots of aggravation because the carpet installer took 2 full days to do a 4 hr job. Vartan, presumably the store owner, could care less that 2 small rooms + bathroom took 2 days to complete the job. My husband and I were lured into Carpet Mills by the friendly service and promise of a quick installation. Unfortunately Vartan does not check in with the installers and our installer was down 1 man. We had a great experience with Vartan and his carpet installers last week. I thought that their carpet pricing with installation was very reasonable. The two installers arrived a few minutes early on the morning of our appointment and worked diligently to recarpet our furnished two story townhouse and basically worked straight for about 12 hours to get the job done in one day, which I appreciated. The installers were very professional in the work and stored everything very neatly. They did a great job and were very prompt to return for small carpet repair that I didn't notice on the day of the original installation. Capetland Mills installed laminate flooring throughout our 1000 sq ft condo about 1 1/2 yrs ago. At the time we were satisfied but questioned Vartan, the owner, as to the quality of workmanship of the installation of the transition molding. He told us everything had been done correctly. As it turned out, we were right to be concerned, since they popped up shortly thereafter. We recently lost our tenant and saw firsthand how badly the moldings had lifted up. Apparently they hadn't been secured with glue anywhere, nor had the space provided for their installation been adequately sized. This meant that the molding had been simply laid across the surface of the laminate, which was certain to be a problem. What we're most upset about is that Vartan, whom we've known and have done business with for over 20 years, refused to accept any responsibility for the poor workmanship and lied to us when we tried to address the problem with him. We have never written a review before, but we felt this was so egregious as to be necessary. read more

Walked in to look for hardwood flooring (First time buyer in this). Customer service lacking didn't feel welcomed at all especially for new buyers. Not very friendly and bad attitude. Felt every question i asked he was annoyed and not interested in selling. Prices seem good but with the attitude and service i'll look else where i'm sure my business will be welcomed. This place is a mess not organized at all can't tell where laminate, engineered and hardwood selections are and for first time buyer its not helpful. For better helpful or customer service. I suggest home depot, lowes and lumber liquidators are better suited for this if your a first timer for questions you want answered. Lumber liquidators provide alot of detail and answer all your questions in a friendly professional manner. But key thing shop around call in for quotes and ask many questions. read more

Carpet Land mills. I recently put vinyl wood flooring through out my whole house.I love the flooring. I shopped around and the price was reasonable. They were able to delivery and install in a quickly manner . My only issue is that the installers rushed on the last day and some of the shoeing around the base boards and in the closet were not finished. I did bring this to Vartans attention ( i believe he is the owner) I sent photos of what my concerns were. He told me he would take care of it....... I have yet to hear from him again. I did text him to ask when the installer might come back....... no answer..... I spent over 8 thousand dollars. It was the yelp reviews that encouraged me to give this place a shot. Initially Vartan the salesman was pleasant and helpful. However, he made promises that he knew he couldn't keep. He set an install date and surprisingly I never received a call about the installer not showing up. I finally decided to call the office only to learn that he was still on another job and it wasn't likely that he would be able to make the promised appointment. I scheduled movers around my floors being installed and this created a huge problem. Vartan promised me the installer would be there the following morning at 8am and assured me that this was a small job that he could finish by noon. My movers were scheduled to arrive at 1pm. Well needless to say, this didn't happen. The installer was late and it took him TWO DAYS to finish the job. I had to have the movers put my items in the garage and make arrangements for the bedroom furniture to be assembled later at an additional cost. When I went to pay the balance on my invoice at Carpet land Mills, I asked Vartan if he would give me some sort of discount considering the HUGE inconvenience coupled with the fact that I would have to pay the movers to come back as a direct result of him making a promise to have something done within a certain timeframe which obviously didn't happen. He made absolutely NO effort to show good faith. He wouldn't even discount the job by $20. This lack of customer service was troubling enough for me to create a yelp account and write a review. The customer service is horrible and he will say whatever he needs to say to make the sale at the customers expense. read more

I shopped around for carpet upstairs and wood floors downstairs. I live in Westlake Village and got a recommendation from my broker .I contacted a gentleman named Vartan,who came to our home and took all the measurements. He was very professional and said nobody will beat my price and quality of installation. His 3 man crew came over at 9;00 am and finished a 1,100 sf job at 630 pm. They did an awesome job. Moved the furniture and my command center for all my computer ,tv etc stuff and kept it all plugged in. Wow i really can't say enough about the install and price i got, it was the BEST CARPET INSTALL . Joel and his 2 men really did a quality job..
