He found (what he thought at the time) was the issue, got the parts, and repaired it in 4 hours. We thought everything was good and paid $375 for the repair. We ran the washer later that night and found there was still an issue. We reached back out and he said he'd come back the next day after his other jobs. Communication started lagging here. He initially told us he'd come between 4-6, but didn't say anything til 6:30. Came ~7pm and worked on the washer again. About 1.5 hours later, found another issue and said he'd come back Monday. On Monday, I reached back out and he wasn't super responsive. Heard back that he was at the store getting the part and that's the last we heard from him. We've reached out several times via text, Yelp, and phone call. We've left multiple messages and he's completely ghosted us. I should've done more digging into his past bad reviews, because this is consistent with those. I recommend finding someone else. It's not worth the chance of not getting your appliance fixed AND being out money. We could've just bought a new washer at this point.

He mentioned I need to change a part and he was going to submit the order invoice with my home warranty for them to approve. Upon approval, he went ahead and ordered the part beginning of Sep. Since then, the company has not given me an update although initially before ordering the part, they mentioned it should be delivered in less than a week. I have tried calling and reaching out to them over messages, the phone number listed is always switched off and they never reply back. The last thing as a customer you would want is pay these guys and wait for a part and they vanish completely. It's been over 3 weeks and I still have no communication from them. Very unprofessional. Would proceed with a diff service technician at this point as the job could be easily done in 3-4 days turn around time. Sorry ! Update 2: Based on the review feedback from Mark, if there is any delay in parts order, I think it is basic sense to inform the Home warranty company (who gave the service technician vendor the job) as well as the customer with a more accurate timeline. During the time of charging the service fee for diagnostics, it was mentioned the part should be delivered in less than a week. If this was completely off, an immediate timely update would be appreciated. Last, I am not sure how a business runs when they are not reachable on the phone ever, nor any correspondence through messages. Sorry! That's not at all an average customer experience, let aside a good experience.

Interviewed 5 companies for our project, super glad we went with Spot Free. We have a single story,…read moreabout 2600sqft home, with floor vents for forced heating. The gas furnace was about 25 years old and rated for a 1000 sqft home and the ductwork under the house was ripped and torn. Our house wasn't heating, our gas bill was $400 a month alone. Instead of trying to fix the current system, we wanted to upgrade to AC/heat and modernize with ceiling vents. We landed on a hybrid system: 4 ton variable heat pump outside, a backup gas furnace in the attic, whole house filter, 2 zones for the house because of our layout with two gen 4 nest thermostats, r8 ductwork, 15 ceiling vents, 2 air intakes, and all the permits. Their quote included a 3 year warranty on labor, whereas the other 4 companies were only 1 year. Nice bonus perk. The project took 5 full days to complete, and they are coming back Monday for a partial day for final touch ups. Anson came by same day and walked through the property with me, getting the full picture of what we would need. He literally drew everything out, saying it's very important that I understand what is going on because it is permanent. Anson cleared up a ton of questions I had. We talked over vent location, system size, zoning, equipment, everything. He took his time and was very patient. The quote he gave was very competitive to the other 4 I received. I decided on Spot Free because of Anson's care in explanations, his patience and detail, their quality of yelp reviews, the labor warranty and finally their price. I kept the contract though because of Jamie lol she is such a sweetheart. One of the other companies, bigger named and 2k+ reviews offered to price match, but I loved Jamie so much, as well as Anson was so quick to answer my questions over text, and the labor warranty was better. Decided to stay with them even with the price match, although that was very generous of the other company to do. The install itself went super smoothly. Brandon was the lead communicator with us on the project. He, and the whole team, did an amazing job! I felt like he kept us in the loop about everything important, in a non-invasive way, we got the vents mostly where we wanted them (beams/structure dependent), and we could still live in the house mostly uninterrupted with what I felt was still a ton of privacy given the scope and nature of the work. Honestly didn't even notice they were here for the most part, my husband and dad napped through most of the noise lol! The amount of care the team had for our belongings was also very impressive, and noted. They covered everything with plastic sheets, including stuff in our garage like our stroller. That attention to detail was super kind! They also fully cleaned up after themselves every day! Vacuumed, swept, taped up the work in progress vents, removed sheeting, etc. They were also all super careful to keep doors closed, we have 2 cats and I never worried they would be let out. It was a pleasure having the team here! The vents look super clean! Very well done. The thermostats work great, Brandon helped get them set up on our phones in the google home app and patiently, after what I know to be a long day, taught us the various settings so we could get started and ensured all parts of the system were working, much appreciated! We have heat! This is excellent! And the system is so so so quiet! It's just night one after install, but the whole house is an even temperature. Looking forward to playing with the app and sensors to fine tune our comfort here, but it's so easy and it just works so far! I'm super excited for summer, to test the AC out. I'm also looking forward to our next PGE bill, to see if maybe we are saving money lol! Spot Free HVAC is 10/10, wonderful company and people!

Very easy to communicate with and book a quote. I received 3 quotes for our HVAC work:…read more- Spot Free: $21K - Vendor we used: $23K - Another vendor who we used before and were happy with but increased their pricing recently: $32K We decided not to go with Spot Free for 2 reasons. First, the heat pump brand was changed in the quote to one that we did not want (Carrier). We were replacing it due to leakage of carbon monoxide. This is obviously a safety concern for us, but also a peace of mind issue. We had discussed using Carrier at the site visit, but I was adamant to avoid it. Second, Brook mentioned that there was a manufacturer's recall on our existing 1-year old Mitsubishi heat pump (we have 2 zones with 2 separate units) and that we should pay him out of pocket to fix it. I was confused, because we received no information regarding a recall and typical costs associated with a recall are not paid by the customer. Furthermore, we hadn't experienced any issues and we're still within the warranty period from the manufacturer and installer. Brook said he had been processing a lot of recalls on units he installed and Mitsubishi was slow to send parts so it's easier to pay him directly for the repair. I contacted the original installer, who we had a very positive experience with initially, and they said there was no recall. I also looked online and couldn't find any information regarding a recall.

One big tip skip the promo emails. The deals you get by contacting them directly are much better than what's advertised in those marketing blasts. Booking and pricing experience Communication was easy and transparent. No aggressive upselling, no pressure to add unnecessary services. They also offer solid incentives if you schedule on a weekend and are flexible with payment options, which I appreciated. Service experience The crew showed up on time and finished everything efficiently in about two hours. They did not show up with flashy uniforms or branded trucks, but honestly that mattered far less than the quality of the work. They clearly knew what they were doing and moved with purpose. They went the extra mile by pulling out the dryer and cleaning it thoroughly from the inside, not just the vent line. Bathroom exhaust fans were cleaned properly as well, which is something a lot of companies rush through. Results This is a relatively newer house so there wasn't a ton of buildup, but the work was done cleanly and professionally. No mess left behind and no shortcuts taken. Final verdict If you want honest work, fair pricing, and zero sales nonsense, Duct Pros is an easy recommendation. I would book them again without hesitation.

Nir, Felipe, Juan and their crew were incredibly professional, hard working, and very skilled HVAC technicians who took the time to answer all of my questions. Since their visit, I haven't had any allergy symptoms at all, which is incredible considering how sensitive I usually am.
