We sampled a variety of wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Anastasia Red Blend, Grenache, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay--each one was excellent. Mickey is also a sommelier, and his knowledge really shows. He not only educated us on the wines but also highlighted and supported other local businesses. We also ordered the charcuterie board, and it exceeded our expectations. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and it was surprisingly filling for the two of us. Between the welcoming service, delicious food, and relaxed atmosphere, this ended up being one of our favorite stops in Santa Barbara. We had a series of issues from the start. Our assigned waiter was completely inattentive; he ignored our table, failed to check on us, and never brought the cheese board we ordered. We eventually had to flag down another member of the staff just to get any service at all. Even after we caught his attention, our server seemed aware of us but made no effort to approach or assist. Additionally, the wait time for our wine flights was excessively long. When the cheese board finally arrived, I was shocked to find that all three cheeses were served still inside their original plastic wrappers--not even sliced. To make matters worse, we were provided with plastic knives to cut the cheese ourselves, which was incredibly difficult and frustrating. I have never encountered a cheese board served this way at any establishment. I really wanted to enjoy this visit, and I want to give credit to the other waitresses who were working that day--they were great and were the only saving grace of the experience. However, the lack of basic service and the bizarre presentation of the food made this a trip I wouldn't recommend

She went out of her way to get the wines we preferred and gave me Instructions on how to order food from the food truck next door. She was so kind, warm, and cheerful. From the moment we arrived, Amanda was incredibly rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in helping us. It felt as though we were an inconvenience the entire time. Thankfully, Cory stepped in and was welcoming, professional, and kind enough to offer us samples of the wines we were interested in trying. What was completely unacceptable, however, was Amanda making comments like, "the owner doesn't even like you." This was both inappropriate and unprofessional, especially considering I do not know the owner and the owner does not know me. There was absolutely no reason for such a disrespectful remark. And that is just ONE example of remarks she made to my friend and I. She also talked down on a stutter that I have, just inappropriate!! The manager or owner (not sure which roll he played exactly) seemed to have been drinking because while he was defending his out of line staff, he yelled "I'm not even supposed to be here, I should be out golfing!" As if that was my fault. Overall, this was a horrible experience and a major disappointment from a place I used to genuinely enjoy and recommend to friends. It is unfortunate that what was once a great spot is now associated with such poor treatment and lack of professionalism.

I asked him to describe any behavior of mine that would call for me to be cut off and he couldn't. We left and enjoyed a beer at the Irish bar with no problem and was served by a polite and friendly bartender. Wine Therapy guy might want to take some notes.

Love this place! If you're touring the downtown santa barbara wine trail I would definitely add this one to the list. It has delicious wine, a great atmosphere & really friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great music too! They had a mix of Classic rock and reggae playing during my visit. A truly unique place to see because it's an actual working winery and not just a tasting room. I also love their refillable wine growlers with wines on tap. My boyfriend and I had such a great time here that after out wine tasting we stayed to have a glass and to play shuffleboard all while enjoying the barrel room setting. read more

Some of the best wine coming out of Santa Barbara. The tasting room is a little off the beaten path, so you avoid some of the State Street/Bar crowd, and get a more locals experience. Their new patio is great and I love that I can stop in to get a growler or two filled up for dinners! read more

If you are into the peppery wines, then this may be for you. For my pallete, I can't stand wines that are too peppery and quite frankly, at times I felt I was drinking peppered alcohol. It was disgusting. Sad too because the place had a cool atmosphere. read more

Although, we ended up finding a different place inside, which was not a problem for them. We did a wine tasting, and we had one rose and three reds. The choices were great, and we enjoyed them thoroughly. We did end up buying two bottles of the rose, which did waive the tasting for one of us. We were assisted today by Kat, and she was such a pleasure. She explained each of the wines to us, and went above and beyond in helping us with other things as well.
