The food selection and quality are consistently very good, and it the staff helps to make the night special, particularly if you let them know you are indeed celebrating something. There wine selection is plentiful and priced as expected for restaurant markups. Our party typically goes for the regular favorites, but I enjoy going for their ever-changing specials. This last visit, I tried the three lamb chop dinner and it was wonderful. The chops were cooked as requested (med-rare) and seasoned perfectly. They were tender and juicy. I limit myself with visits here because I have no willpower to resist and over-indulge with the warm bread and seasoned olive oil dip (hint - remove the regulating stopper in the olive oil bottle to get a faster pour). I can't speak to the food at Carraba's since I stopped in during happy hour and sat at the bar, but I can share happy hour is a great deal! Peroni on draught for $3 and zucchini frites appetizer with a garlic aioli for $5 from 4-6 pm during the week. I noticed fried calamari and meatball sliders and a few other appetizers all either $5, $7, or $9 and an espresso martini and some others are $9. Tried Carrabba's last night after a long pause for a few years and was pleasantly surprised with the new menu options. They had a new special where 2 people get a 3-course menu for $45. My hubs and I opted for that option, picking chicken Marsala and steak with salad and soup for appetizers and a cheesecake for dinner. We figured portion sizes would be smaller, but they were normal. My husband and I had lunch last week at Carrabba's and we were pleasantly surprised at what a great experience we had there. The ambiance was very nice in the restaurant. Our waitress was great. She was attentive but not overbearing and everything got out to us in a timely manner and had inappropriate temperature. I began with a Coke with lemon slices and my husband got a couple of the red sangria, both are delicious. Then we had some of their hot, fresh bread, and olive oil with herbs. It was crispy outside and soft inside and paired well with the olive oil and herbs. My husband and I began our meal with the Caesar salad and we split the trio with Chicken Bryan, steak Marsala, and mezzaluna ravioli. We ended our meal with the chocolate dream dessert. They are consistent on two things: unfriendly hostesses and friendly servers. The food is hit or miss. I get the same thing each time, and sometimes the soup is full of ingredients and sometimes it's greasy and mostly watery. The pasta dish I get is sometimes full of flavor, and sometimes it's just greasy, with a complete lack of flavor. Sometimes the bread is very warm and sometimes not. Sometimes they pour the olive oil for you, and sometimes not. Sometimes the temperature in the building is fine, and other times it's absolutely freezing. I really feel like this place is losing its charm. I had been coming here for over 15yrs and remember a time when the staff was vibrant and excited. The hostesses would recognize you as a familiar face and the servers would become hospitality friends. My last visit on Halloween night was not a good experience and will most likely keep me from coming back. My server was unattentive and didn't seem to care much about our drinks or selling us on any suggestions. Our appetizers came out 15 min apart. We ordered multiple apps to feed a table size of 4. Not everyone got to eat together. It seems half our app order was forgotten. Once it arrived our entrees came just moments later. Not giving us enough time to eat our courses. Our soup and salad plates were cleared prematurely. My medium temp upgraded steak came out well done. My husbands pasta was missing the meat in the dish as well. When we told the server the protein was missing she cleared his bowl and had a remake. I wasn't allowed a chance to speak up about my steak. The remake on my husbands dish came out as a side portion and not a full bowl. We were told another side portion was going to be made. Again, not everyone ate together. I also upgraded my steak, and added grilled scallops to my entree that never arrived at any point. I ended up boxing a majority of my overcooked food along with my husbands array of side dishes (despite ordering a full entree menu item) because our guests were finished, the restaurant was closing soon and we had a tired child at the table. Checks were brought without the opportunity to add a $10 take home dish. Additionally our server didn't split our check correctly, but no problem we just paid it anyways. Now a few days later my payment has posted from pending and I have a larger transaction than was anticipating. Our awful over $100 dinner was so bad I doubt I will return anytime soon and i definitely will not be inviting guests for an embarrassing dinner or to be over charged most likely on a gratuity, when a gracious 20% was already left despite the terrible service and experience. It had been a while since I visited a Carrabba's specially this location. The restaurant set up is a bit different but I was pleasantly surprised with the service and the food! They have change their menu and it is easy for anyone to pick something they may like. It took a bit to get a table, but it was not too bad. Our server Faith was nice, friendly, attentive and checked on us often. She was knowledgeable about the menu and the pace of our meal was good. Bread was brought right away, followed by our salads and drinks. Our entrees came not much later and wrapped up with bringing our dessert to go. It took 1 time to tell her what we needed and she got it 100%! Thank you Faith for a good experience! Now on to food... it was delicious! We have been coming here almost weekly lately and we are always impressed with the service and quality of the food. The surprise entree for us is their steak. Their steak is as good, if not better, than that at a steakhouse. They have a great happy hour with both food and drinks. What makes it even better is that their happy hour is daily! We hadn't been here in a while so we decided to try them again. We ordered the pasta entrees and our server asked if we wanted soup or salad, so we we said soup. She brought us some bread with a herbs and olive oil, which was very good. Then it seemed like a few minutes had passed, and then another server brought us our entrees. Okay, but what happened to the soup? We asked our server and she said someone forgot it, but she could put together a to-go serving. So I guess that means we can't eat it with our entree. Then we heard the server ask the other tables if they received their soup, and none of them had either, so she also made some to-go servings for them also. Our favorite is the Caesar salad, chicken Marsala with pasta and extra sauce, bread, and dessert if we take part of the entree and side home and save room. I came in by myself to enjoy a quick dinner at the bar. It was happy hour so I ordered a pomegranate martini. I also ordered a side Caesar salad with salmon added. The bartender, Marisa, was AMAZING. It was sooo busy at the bar and she was bartending AND serving the bar tables. She did it all with a smile and never seemed to get flustered or irritated by being so busy. I work in a restaurant and know that being by yourself when it is busy like that is pretty hard. I usually order my meal to-go via a third party delivery app, or I take advantage of the curbside pickup option. When I have dined in, the service has always been top-notch, and every employee seems to be patient, friendly, and hardworking.
