We've now been here a few times for a family members birthday and a regular dinner outing. The staff is always incredibly friendly, the feel of the location is intimate and inviting. Food is great and I would definitely recommend the chicken piccata (which is a go to for me at Italian restaurants) - I would recommend requesting garlic knots as a starter if you like apps! For dessert I have to go with the classic tiramisu, but my sister had the cake and loved that too. The restaurant itself has an older feel, but is kept clean and has a welcoming energy to it. Parking is plentiful as it is part of a longer shopping strip, so you shouldn't have issues there. They do have a bit of a stair way that leads up to the front door, which is a bit of a challenge for my elder mom, but not the end of the world (she enjoys coming here) - just something to note for those with mobility challenges. It isn't usually too busy, but you can make advance reservations if you plan to have a larger party, or need a very specific time / date for your meal. Stopped by a couple of months ago to have dinner with coworkers. The restaurant has an older feel to it but it is clean. Our server was nice, friendly, attentive and happy to answer any questions. I ordered the chicken piccata which comes with pasta and garlic knots. Flavor was okay, it was lacking that lemon and caper taste. This was my first time going to a Chianti's Pizza and Pasta. I went here on a Sunday for lunch. The place was packed and there were only two servers working. It took about 15 min for them to clean up a table for us. It wasn't a long wait so it didn't bother me. Our server was definitely rushed and totally understandable being short staffed. He forgot to give us silverware and napkins. We also didn't get a proper welcome to the restaurant, we seated and right away asked for our drink order. We ordered the garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, chicken alfredo and penne ala vodka. Everything was great except the garlic knots they were okay. Too greasy. The sauce from the penne alla vodka was delicious. The food was great, I can't complain about that. Service however can be improved. For example, our server had his server order pad (the black book) and it was falling apart. Those little details make an impact in the overall presentation of the restaurant. I'm not sure if it is always like that but they need a better system to handle the floor. Both servers were overlapping on things. I thought the guy was our server but then a lady will come over to check on us or bring the food. Besides some hiccups with the service the food was great. Had a little double date with the wife and friends, wasn't exactly excited due to expectations but genuinely was surprised. We came during peak dinner hours on a sunday but only happened to be our party and one other the entire time. Service was terrific throughout the evening. Everybody ordered a different small (12inch) pizza and we got some house salads with nothing extra. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Pizza bianca as well as normal cheese. Light yet crispy crust, tasty sauce or in my case ricotta, and something i'd easily stop by again over a bottle of wine and various pizzas to share. This food here was very good., however, the service was lacking. We specifically ordered the fried calamari before anything else. After we received our drinks, we ordered a Caesar salad and then our entrees: eggplant parmigiana and the special creamy Marsala with veal. The first thing that was brought out was the salad. When the calamari was brought out, we asked the server why it didn't come out. Edited the salad and we were told that it had to be breaded and fried and takes longer than the salad. That is why we ordered the calamari first. We were receiving food before we were finished with the previous corse. It felt rushed. The place was not crowded. We like to have a leisurely dinner. I am not sure that this was the fault of the waiter in how he put the order in or the fault of the kitchen. The food was good though. On this #ThankYouThursday, I want to share my experience with Chianti's Longwood. My family and I are regulars at this location. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, the food is freshly made and always slightly different than last time ordered (in the best way possible), and having outdoor seating is a nice option. I usually order off the specials menu. My favorites are the sweet cream Marsala with fillet medallions, the pasta with pesto-cream sauce, and the bruschetta is a mountain of mix with buttery crostini's. Their house salad with creamy Italian dressing is simple but so tasty with diced veggies loaded over romaine lettuce. My husband enjoys their made-to-order pizzas as well. They serve beer, wine, and soda - no liquor - but I never felt I was missing something with my dining experience. The service is usually quick and everything is served in a timely manner. read more

I have visited the Lake Mary location many times so when my dad wanted to stop for lunch on the way home from the doctor's office I thought about other spots I was familiar with when I saw the sign for Chianti's. The layout of the restaurant is larger than Lake Mary and has booths. We started off with an order of delicious Garlic Knots drenched in melted butter, parm cheese, and chunks of garlic. My dad enjoyed an Italian sandwich and fries. I had a huge gluten free pizza with pepperoni, sausage, sweet red pepper, mushrooms, and ricotta cheese. After two slices I was stuffed! Our server was very friendly and helpful. She helped me get the lunch special pizza with a small $3 upcharge for the gluten-free crust. We will definitely be back to try more goodies! read more

We were in the area and I decided to finally give Chianti's a shot since I have passed it hundreds of times and have never been in. The first thing I noticed upon walking in is that this place is in dire need of an upgrade. The menus have seen better days. But I am not here for looks... surely service and food makes up for that, right? No. The service was by far the worst part of this experience. We had a server who struggled. I wanted to give him grace but there was barely anyone in the restaurant so I was confused by how he was acting and his ability to keep on task. Our kids had the pizza and that may have been the best part of the experience because my husband's pasta and my pasta lacked. The meatball had no flavor and the sauce tasted so generic. Dinner was great, the Lobster Bisque was amazing ! The steak was delicious. The wine was amazing . My daughter got the salmon and broccoli , fresh real broccoli unlike some chains that serve frozen broccoli. The server was busy yet attentive and friendly . This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've had in altamonte/Orlando area. They close early, but 100% worth it. We have a young guy who serves us usually and remembers us and is awesome!!!! He always provides the best service. The food always comes out hot, fresh, and in a good time. This was our 4th choice on a Saturday night looking for a Italian restaurant after our other choices were full and thank God! Absolutely a gem of a restaurant. First and foremost our waiter Victor was an absolute pleasure to have. Friendly and knowledgeable. Food was on another level. Fresh and full of flavor with a new approach on old traditions. The garlic knots were fresh baked to order and full of the right amount of garlic and parmesan and unlimited as we ordered three refills. The appetizers were excellent and came out quickly. The entrées were delicious. Dessert was taken to go because we were stuffed and also was good even if enjoyed back in the hotel. Price for five people was very reasonable. Visited Chianti's for a business lunch and we had a nice time. They weren't busy, so they were able to immediately seat our group of 6. Our waiter was good. He made sure refills were given and checked on us occasionally. The food was pretty good too. For appetizers was got pepperoni pizza rolls, meatballs, and garlic knots. The meatballs were soft and flavorful and the garlic knots were packed with garlic and butter. For my entree, I got the soup and salad (a lunch special). I ordered the Mediterranean Greek salad and the lobster bisque. The salad was a little lack luster for me. It was small considering it was a main part of my meal. It only had a single Olive on top and the dressing was kinda light. It felt more like a side salad, but it was good. Just a little basic. The lobster bisque was the proper portion size, so I was ok with the smaller salad. The bisque had a lovely color and plenty of chunks of lobster meat. I didn't love the texture of the soup though. It was a little gritty. It tasted like there was a rough purée in the soup which gave it an odd texture. The flavor was good and the meat was tender, but it was a bit odd. My coworkers got pastas and pizzas and absolutely loved them. Next time, I think I'll stick with their staple items. Let me start by saying that I'm a bit surprised by some of the higher ratings for this place. I wondered if maybe we came in a bad night, but they were dead, it was 5pm and everyone's food was awful. I had the Bolognese and my husband hat the Veal Milanese. I love Bolognese and am well aware of what it's composed of and what it should taste like. This was not Bolognese. It was missing several key ingredients and was very acidic and tasted like dried basil had been dumped into it. It was the worst Bolognese dish I've ever had. The Milanese was just as bad. The veal couldn't have been more than 4 ounces and the sauce on the dish tasted like someone accidentally scooped in ten times too much brown sugar. It was equally as sweet as a dessert course. Everyone else in our party was disappointed with their meals as well. And our server, although kind, seemed quite impaired like he'd hit the bottle before greeting us. Considering the portions, flavors and service they are incredibly overpriced and probably the worst Italian restaurant in Longwood. Save your money and go anywhere else. read more

If you value food safety, don't order pizza from Chiantis through door dash or Uber eats because they don't seal their pizza boxes. I received my stone cold pizza and the box was open. When I called the manager to ask why they don't seal their boxes, his reply was "we've been doing it this way for 5 years, if someone wants to do something to your pizza they will do it regardless"...... is that a way for a manager to speak to a paying customer, I think not. I was extremely grateful that Chianti's was open on Christmas Eve because it was delicious and truly satisfying. The garlic knots were absolutely perfect and everything you want in a garlic knot-crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and drenched in buttery garlic and oil. The chicken Parm was very good and I love that they offer the option to add meat sauce to the pasta because it's so much better, in my opinion. If I could modify one thing, it would have been a dash or two less of salt in the sauce when the chef was preparing it because it was a tad too salty for my palate, but that's just my preference. I would definitely order again from Chianti and am happy to provide a local business with a regular patron while I'm in Florida this winter. read more

Every get in the car and head to a restaurant to find it closed? That was my good fortune as it caused me to visit for a first time to Chianti's. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and comfortable. The staff works as a team. The work with urgency and purpose. Expect many to ask after you with genuine concern. This speaks very well of both management and staff. Bravo to all. Starting with a staple item: calamari. Breading was delightfully light. Perfectly cooked. One thing I dislike are plastic cups of sauces. To the management, your establishment deserves better. Salting could have been a bit heavier. Let it be said it was so good, lemon drizzled and a smidge of salt made it absolutely perfect without either sauce. Next I did something I'll only do if the kitchen isn't swamped. I gave them a challenge. Bring me a main that guarantees I'll return. So I waited whilst wondering. Finally a fantastic plate of grilled filet with a potato au gratin with poached egg. Again it was too light with salt on the Auritas gratin. The main is not on the menu. The chef rose to the challenge and I salute him. I love it when a team rises to the challenge. May I also mention Brittany as server was wonderful. Great Italian Food with Cozy Ambiance. My husband and I had a late lunch around 1:00 today at Chanti's in Longwood. The food was incredible. I had the Chicken Gorgonzola it was delicious. Very decadent and creamy. The flavors of the thin breaded chicken cutlet with sun dried tomatoes and a creamy Gorgonzola sauce over linguini were wonderful.
