My wife and I often come here when we want something familiar and satisfying without putting much thought into it. Our go-to order is to split the Chicken Parmesan, pick a couple of sides, and work our way through the bread and herb-infused olive oil before the entrée even arrives. Simple? Yes. Effective? Also yes. Service has generally been solid with few complaints over the years. The atmosphere and décor are a bit dated, much like many long-standing family restaurant chains, but that's almost part of the charm at this point. We were looking for an intimate place to enjoy our time. We came across this place and for the first time, we didn't feel like it was your normal food chain. The ambience was very nice. Walked in and the place was very clean. The host walked us directly to a nice booth. We had a little minute when our waitress Gisella waked up to take care of us. Can I say that she waited on us and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. She did an awesome job. She delivers real customer service. Not once did we have to worry about trying to locate her or wait on anything. The food was amazing! We had the calamari appetizer, and the salmon dinner. It was delicious!!! Nice interior, but that's were it stops! We went there last month, service was okay, food was okay. But we saw they had a Wine Club Dinner for $80 (found out when we got the bill that that didn't include tax or tips), so we went last night. Took forever to get served, no refills on the wine, server was constantly apologizing for slow kitchen. Besides the eleven us at the table there were only maybe 6 or 8 tables of people. Happy hour at Carrabbas! I went for Wine! I ordered Rose sangria which was so delicious and 2 appetizers zucchini and shrimp scampi off their happy hour menu which came out fast. They had a decent crowd in the bar and restaurant area but not too crowded. My bartender was friendly and conversational, which was nice since I was there solo dolo. My food was hot and fresh a little on the salty side but with my wine it did balance out. read more

I was trying to give 2 1/2. It's definitely not worth three stars. I got my order to go, but you can't expect too much from us to go order but for $22 I got some bread one and a half meatballs and spaghetti. The spaghetti was OK just not a $22 meal. I may be expecting too much for something over $20 but I should've at least gotten some Parmesan to go with my spaghetti. They give you oil instead of butter. Some people like that. read more

We have gone to carrabas with groups and had no problem.. However when my husband asks I decided to go for happy hour two weeks ago, the service was horrid... We ordered the appetizers and specifically said this is our dinner to share... It took 30 mins for the first appetizer, and 55 minutes to get out entire meal... We asked for the manager, and when she came to the table she had an attitude, and basically threw the chicken on the table and said "it's on,us" and left... Our initial server made an excuse and said that there was just a miscommunication, however when the manager came she made another excuse and said the server initially thought that we wanted to pace ourselves... Even though that was never stated... I was more appalled by the managers attitude and lack of respect for her customers. The second time we went was for a wine dinner, which cost $80 per person... Again we waited 30 minutes for the appetizer and it appeared every 45 minutes we would get another course... Since we've been to so many wine dinners in the area, we have seen how smooth some of them operate. Carrabba's is just consistently bad, with poor service... By the time the fillet came, I was feeling nauseous because they would give us wine without any food and I wasn't prepared to wait that long... Oh yes, there was skinny popcorn on the tables which was I guess, to tide us over for the poor service... What was pretty amazing in both situations, there might have been five tables full. Not sure how to do this! It wasn't exciting and it was dark and felt like we were in the wrong place. None of it makes sense. Service was like I've got to serve you, but I'd really rather not. And as I looked around and after the very flat greeting and the real lack of enthusiasm and high top tables set up to encourage catering rather accommodating dining guests. We just ate salads. The lack of enthusiasm from our waiter and lack of a full restaurant just didn't entice to want to revisit this one. Not bad, not great! Went here for Valentines Day. They were pretty busy but we were seated within 25 minutes. That's when the wheels came off. All the staff was super friendly and professional and we couldn't have asked for better. However, kitchen was a disaster. We had to wait almost an hour for our food (wait staff had bread and salad right away, no problem). All I can guess is manager & kitchen manager had completely misjudged staffing. Trip to Carrabba's for a family celebration. We arrived at 6 on a Saturday evening without a reservation. It was about half full, so we were seated quickly. Our server, Brooklynn, greeted us and offered to take our drink orders. Soon after, we ordered: Mac & Cheese with apple juice for my granddaughter, a Johnny and a wine for my son-in-law, a Sirloin with Bryan topping and a salad for my daughter, the Mussels and a wine for my wife and a Chicken Bryan and iced tea for me. Our salads arrived in about 8 mins along with some tasty bread with oregano/olive oil dip. Our dinners came a few mins later. The bread was warm and soft and great with the olive oil. Our salads were fresh, with plenty of dressing. The entrees were all piping hot, with fresh ingredients and savory flavors. Brooklynn did a nice job of checking on us and keeping our glasses full. Our server Ada has that rare mix of friendliness, professionalism, perfect timing throughout the meal, and thorough knowledge about the menu, specials, and events here. Try the Espresso Martini, Linguine Florentine (with Shrimp or Chicken), Chicken Trio, and the extremely rich Cannoli Cake for Two (enough for 3-4!). I come for the lasagna lol I couldn't believe it because Carrabbas isn't a cheap place, while not the priciest I still am like nah that's uncalled for after what I spent so we were back to that familiar which was such a delight lol so last time the person who was the host today was our server and that could have been a difference lol but let's just leave it to our server today to have done all redemption. Our first visit to a Carrabba's (in Avondale, AZ) and it was pretty good. I enjoyed two martinis, Merry Berry Martini which was beautiful and super tasty. Had a very Berry (cranberry flavor) with a hint of rosemary. It was yummy. A bit on the thicker side than a Lemon Drop, but still very good. I also enjoyed their Italian Cookie Martini and enjoyed that one as well. It was my dessert as it had a thick chocolate rim and a very small piece of an Italian Rainbow Cookie on a pick soaking inside. Oh sooo good!!! It wasn't as thick as my first martini and on the milky/creamy side. My husband and I shared as usual our dinner which was the Penne Martino. Definitely shareable and we added chicken. Had a tomato cream sauce but not overdone. Unfortunately there wasn't a whole lot of chicken especially sharing, but enough for us. It was very filling and had excellent flavor with yummy mushrooms sautéed into the dish. We really liked the seasoned oil for dipping our bread slices (which was warm) into. The unfortunate part, the food came out cold so we had to send it back. Not sure how it was re-warmed, but it worked. It seemed to be an issue as the couple sitting behind us also complained of their food being cold as well as other food issues. On our part, we enjoyed our food. The salad we chose instead of the soup which accompanies the meal, they split for us as they did our main meal. Next time I'd ask for the salad dressing on the side as I felt like the lettuce was a bit soggy even though it didn't seem like they doused it with light balsamic oil. The restaurant was very cute in the bar area where we were seated. Our server Carlos was also the bartender so sometimes he was a bit slower checking on us, but nothing we couldn't handle and he was very nice. The staff bringing out our food were kind. We waited 45 minutes for our dinners. The place was empty only about 6-7 tables full in the place and still waiting that long for food on a Friday night at 7:30 pm. The place was freezing. I was shivering by the time we left, felt like we were sitting in the walk in freezer. While waiting for our dinners I was watching an older dark hair waiter standing over near where they pick up the plates of food wiping his nose with his bare hands and touching his hair then touching plates of food to be serviced. After waiting an extremely long time, the person who took my order never followed up with me. I had to ask her to check on my order. I then asked another employee to look into it, and he informed me it wasn't ready. At that point, I requested to cancel my order. However, three minutes later, he brought it out. When I got home, the pasta was completely flavorless, and the mozzarella sticks were overcooked. I've been to this location plenty plenty of times even once and Valentine's Day and I was pretty sure that was the only day it was busy, I still receive excellent service BUT today, November 11, 2024. Seems like when it's empty. It's hard to get attention just like my ex-wife. also, I don't appreciate your cooks using their cell phone when they're cooking, if I remember correctly, cell phones are one of the dirtiest objects there is and cooking food while being on your phone is disgusting. I like Carrabba's but I LOVE this location. We never have had a bad meal here. Last night I met my best friend for a belated birthday dinner, and our server Mary was WONDERFUL. She let us linger and catch up, even joined in our chats briefly as she helped keep the good and drinks flowing. We tried the shrimp scampi appetizer and it was so good!! The little touch of lemon was perfect. As usual I had the scallops and shrimp with fettuccine alla vodka. It's always amazing. The cannoli cake was incredible. Pretty sure we inhaled it.
