I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at this location, especially because this is now the second time I've had an issue with curbside pickup. I arrived at the exact time my order was supposed to be ready. Since I never received the text that normally allows you to notify the restaurant that you've arrived, I called instead. I gave them my name, told them which curbside spot I was parked in, and was told my order would be brought out soon. I then sat outside for another 20 minutes in the rain, and no one ever brought my food out. Eventually, I gave up and went inside. I explained that I had called 20 minutes earlier and had been waiting outside. The employee immediately walked over to the bar, picked up my bag, and handed it to me. Clearly, my food had just been sitting there the entire time. There was no apology, no explanation, no attempt to make the situation right, nothing. It was basically just, "Here's your food." When I got home, it was even more frustrating. My Cajun chicken pasta was cold and looked extremely skimpy, with barely any chicken or sauce stuffed in this small container. On top of that, the bag containing the biscuits was visibly ripped open, which is completely unacceptable for a food order. What makes this worse is that I chose not to leave a negative review the last time this happened because I understand that restaurants get busy and things happen. But now I've had essentially the same experience twice, sitting outside for 20-30 minutes waiting for an order that was apparently already sitting inside, with no communication and absolutely no concern from the staff. At this point, it's not just about having to wait. It's the complete lack of customer service or accountability. If curbside pickup is being offered, customers shouldn't have to eventually come inside and track down food that has been sitting there getting cold. And when something clearly goes wrong, even a simple apology would go a long way. Unfortunately, after giving this location another chance, I'm really disappointed and don't see myself ordering from here again. read more

My Valentine, Marsha W took me out for dinner yesterday. Her pick? Red Lobster. (And I'm glad she did!) Service by Zeke was well paced and attentive but never intrusive. The atmosphere is warm and cozy with some mellow music in the background. The food was amazing. I opted for the shrimp, pick three and a cup of Lobster Bisque. Everything was delicious. I wouldn't change a thing. Marsha ordered the Ultimate Feast and it was absolutely massive. She hardly made a dent in it before asking for a box. 5 solid stars! We decided to come to Red Lobster because it's probably been 15 years since I've been to one, and my bf had never been! Not to sound mean, but we didn't have high expectations coming in. However, our expectations were shattered, and we really had a great time, yummy food, and we both agreed we'll come back! Warmly greeted when we arrived, looks nice inside and inviting. We requested a booth and got the corner booth. We both ordered margaritas, and while I was disappointed mine didn't come with a salt rim (just a classic on the rocks) they did fix this for me. We started with the crab queso and chips because it looked yummy in the pic on the menu , came out looking just as good and we DEVOURED it, it was so good I forgot to take a pic. Up there with my favorite queso ever- can you imagine that, from a Red Lobster! We were practically licking the bowl, huge chunks of crab, and a nice addition of tomatoes on the side, which we immediately dumped in. My boyfriend loved the biscuits (I had warned him he would) I just wish they had some gluten free ones also, letting them know I'm gf, and I get a binder to go through to figure out what I can and can't have. Pretty weird, better than nothing I guess. I ordered the New Orléans Salmon, with a sub of potatoes since I can't have the orzo, but it came with orzo. oops! I had to explain to the server that I can't have it one the plate (I had told him I'm gluten intolerant) but the situation was fixed, but not a great thing to happen. My bf had the pineapple mahi and liked it. We liked our veggie sides- mine asparagus and his broccoli. I came in just by myself, and was greeted quickly by the host. He was very kind and asked how my day was, engaging in a short conversation as if we had known each other for years. Very welcoming and nice!! My server seemed hesitant at first but he was a very sweet person, quick, and was very attentive to me despite the little amount of time I was there! The biscuits. Wow. Perfect fluffiness, tasted buttered, and was seasoned perfectly. The side Caesar was also good, and was bought out with the biscuits which I liked to have first! Haven't been for a while, and we need more date nights....so here we are. They have different daily specials every day. Monday is endless shrimp. Our server, Devon, was very nice and friendly. He seemed genuinely happy with his job. Prompt and always has a smile for you. Started with the amazing cheddar bay biscuits, of course. For drinks, I got a Lobster Punch, and my man got a Stella Artois. The Lobster Punch consists of spiced rum, coconut rum with pineapple and berry juices....delicious and dangerous. I started with 2 shrimp scampi's because they're out of the shrimp skewers. My man got the coconut frued shrimp and Walt's favorite (fried shrimp). Round two for me was the coconut and Walt's fried shrimp. My man got another order of the Walt's and the Shrimp Alfredo Linguine. Neither one of us made it thru our second round. Greeted at front door by Ricky, who threw a temper tantrum by throwing menus and serving up attitude to assert his power before we were seated, and then all those at our table were given not just dirty utensils but utensils with (somebody's!) fresh, wet food still on every single piece, wrapped in clean napkins. This was our second attempt to eat at this facility this week; the first time, a few days ago, we were given menus and water and no one ever returned to our table to take our order. We opted for Red Lobster today, feeling a little old school. It was Sunday, early afternoon lunch. They weren't too busy so now wait for tables. Definitely go to check out their super reasonably priced beverages. They have $5 drinks (draft blue moon, a margarita, and wine- res and white) daily. Service was good, atmosphere was quiet, food was good. I ordered the New Orleans Salmon (half order) with baked potato and side salad. My husband ordered the stuffed flounder with baked potato and a side of crispy brussel sprouts. My salmon had a blackening seasoning and was served with a sauce, a few shrimp, and a pico/salsa. It was excellent. My husband said his flounder had a lot going on between the stuffing and sauce and was a little thin. It sounded like he wished he would have gone with a more solid piece of fish. The crispy sprouts were crispy. I think they could have used some lemon or a sauce to brighten the flavor. Cheddar bay biscuits were good and the side salad was good. read more

8 years since my last review here. The location has gone downhill, pending bankruptcy, and it is apparent when going here. Haneen was our waitress, and she clearly was unhappy with something. She doesn't provide refills, apologies, or any service whatsoever. Items we ordered were not delivered to the table, and items were missing from the order, among other multiple issues. To top it off, she cleared our plates while we were still eating. She didn't even ask if we were finished. At that point, we couldn't get out of there fast enough. We were so disappointed that speaking to a manager would have been pointless since the table next to us also asked for one, and nobody ever showed up. Paying over $70 for overcooked food and the worst service we have ever received? I'm not disappointed to hear that they will likely be filing for bankruptcy. read more

My husband and I visited Red Lobster yesterday afternoon. The service was just okay. We got there around 2 p.m. so we missed the lunch crowd and not yet time for dinner crowd. It was the best time to go because it was not crowded. Having said that, our waitress took our order, food took about 20 min. to be delivered. Not bad timing. However the food was not hot. Waitress did not come back around to check to see if my husband wanted more coffee. We didn't see her anymore until it was time to pay the bill. The decor is horrible. Very old looking and I saw dust/dirt on some of the chairs. We ordered the crusted chicken parm which wasn't anything worth writing home about. Went to Red Lobster on Sunday to get their much touted seafood boil bag. After 20 minutes wait, being seated and after the cheddar bay biscuits were served I attempted to order the boil bag only to be told that they were out of lobsters. My wife ordered the filet only to be told that they were also out of filets. I told the waitress that there should be a notice at the entrance if they were out of major menu items because we would not have turned around and went somewhere else. Poor, poor manager has no business running a restaurant. There are plenty of food distributors in town that should be able to cover their short sightedness. Not likely to ever return to put ourselves in that situation again. Ended up spending $100 and NOT getting what we went for. read more

Came here last weekend and the food was great! My server was Ivy, very sweet girl. I was having a hard time figuring out what I wanted on the menu, and she was very nice and patient. Sure this restaurant has received A fair amount of negative press lately due to its parent company The Darden Company and some financial difficulties but Red Lobster at this Polaris area Columbus Ohio store is alive and kicking. A knowledgeable and attentive staff make for a fine dining experience. The menu itself is full of great and in some cases very reasonable Seafood offerings. This building is a tad run down but who cares it is all you can eat shrimp night. The Cesar salad was good. The cheddar bay biscuits were awesome - nice and hot - but I came for the shrimp. We had a great waiter who took care of us we'll. The shrimp choices were shrimp scampi, coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, or skewed shrimp. I strongly recommend the scampi which was delicious. The skewed was really good. The fried was breaded and fried which is like everyone's fried shrimp but still good. The coconut shrimp was not that good maybe because the sauce was not that plentiful or something. I did fill my shrimp craving. It is worth a trip for the shrimp but I am not a fan of the rest of their menu. read more

Came in to share lunch with my mom. We asked if it was possible to swap shrimp scampi for scallops - answer was yes we can. Cut to 15 mins later. Our meal comes WITH the appetizer salad and no scallops because they rang in the wrong type. At least 10 minutes later the scallops come and they're super fishy. Bill comes and it was an up charge to swap the scallops which we weren't told. Bottom line, would not recommend eating here. Well, they must be making a lot of money, since you keep changing the menu and sending customers away. First you change from the hush puppies to the cheese garlic biscuit, which I didn't care for. But, it wasn't the main course of the meal, I got over it. Then you reduce the portion of your dishes while keeping the prices the same, which upset me and I start going to Red Lobster a lot less. Well, now you are forcing customer to get season fries, pay extra to throw them away and order a bake potato. When for decades a crab leg dinner always came with a choice of two sides. Which I'm sure millions of customers prefer since the stock picture still being used has a baked potato in it and too pricey not to get exactly what you want. Especially when it is cheaper to cook the exact meal you want and eat in the comfort of your own home, without some wild child running around the restaurant. Yes, I realize Red Lobster isn't an 5-start high end restaurant, but at least it gave the customers what they wanted. But, since that continues change, I will have to move on. read more
