Traditional Italian dishes with special touches. Elegant setting. Good for groups We met here with friends from a wedding a few days earlier, about a dozen of us in all. The restaurant set us up in a windowed private room with some art on the wall and a wood-beamed white ceiling. We arrived a little later than the others, and the attentive staff had plied the room with beverages and apps, so the group was quite jolly by the time we got there. Beverages included a Moet & Chandon Imperial brut champagne toast to the newlyweds, white and red wine house table-wines, and sweet bright home-made lemonade. For appetizers, we had fresh baked rolls with traditional herbed lightly-spiced warm fresh olive oil. Margherita Flatbread of creamy fresh mozzarella and ripe tomatoes with fresh basil on thin crispy crust. Italian Wedding soup with delicate orzo pasta, light flavorful meatballs, spinach & Parmesan. And chopped salad with fresh crisp cucumbers, zingy red onions, juicy tomatoes, black olives, crumbled feta, tangy vinaigrette, 6 servings kindly divided amongst the 12 of us. Main dishes included rich savory Spaghetti Bolognese. (They dont serve angel hair pasta.) Several generous medium-spicy large-shrimp Fra Diavolo with lobster-butter and curled-flower-shaped campanelle pasta. Several cheesy tomato-sauced chicken parmesan over linguine. Intensely flavorful chicken tomato mozzarella caprese over tender orzo, farro-grain, zucchini, & spinach with pesto vinaigrette and drizzled with balsamic reduction. Richly-creamy Fettuccini Alfredo. Spaghetti and Meatballs with grated nutty Grana Padano hard cheese. Long dishes of lasagna which include home-made alfredo, And a tasty kids' cheese pizza. I must have missed some. We were quite satisfied, yet we managed to share a rich dessert of mascarpone / cookie / chocolate-dusted Tiramisu. It was a lovely unhurried evening. We'll return for the ornate bar and main dining room, or perhaps the outdoor dining! Every single dish is a candidate for our next meal here :-) I will tip you to two things that others knew and that we learned the hard way: (1) There's another branch of this restaurant farther west, which is why we were late, so be careful setting your navigation! For the record, i also posted this review there by mistake! (2) The long trains that cross Reading north of Sharonville turn north just to the east, which is why we were late from sitting alone waiting at the crossing, while everyone else diverted up US-42 Lebanon Rd :-) Yes, i managed to be late from both of those! read more

They were very busy. So busy, that they forgot to give us silverware. Sam Adams was on the menu, but they were out, so I had Stella Alton's (and it was good). The salad was a smaller size than I had once remembered. They brought free bread, but didn't grade cheese on our meals. Other than the lack of cheese on my chicken parmesan, it was good. My wife thought the egg plant Parmesan would have more seasoning on it, and a red sauce. The tiramisu was cold. The chocolate cake was smaller and more expensive than Graeter's. read more

In full transparency this review is from Fall 2025 and was in my drafts so posting now. Personal opinion that Bravo has gone downhill. Complimentary bread is no more. The bread and oil was always a fav for over a decade across the chain. Such a bad move and I don't want your baked rolls for $4.50. Prices are higher and long wait times here at this location. We were from out of town spending the weekend here and made reservations via open table. CJ, the server, was friendly and working hard but all kinds of services issues you should have for the price. The food tasted good but issues all around. Inside was clean and a nice size Bravo. When we got the bill the pricing was off on the side salad. What the menu pricing $5.99 billed $6.99 My partner ordered his sandwich without tomato and sandwich had four slices on it. I ordered the special with salad, it (salad) was missed by the kitchen and was brought out after I was halfway done with the pasta. I just wasn't impressed this visit and just fee the chain is a disappointing shadow of the Bravo I once knew. Bravo! was one of our favorites but since the "rapture" it's gone downhill. Some things we still enjoy like the salmon salad but our last visit we had the shrimp scampi pasta because they sent me a BOGO free offer and let me tell you it was watery and tasteless. Host was not friendly and seems to hate her job. Asked for a high chair and she said she'd bring one, then went to help the next people waiting up front, leaving us with a toddler jumping in our laps until our waiter came. He started out great, seemed nice and we always had refills. When the food came, my pasta bravo was mid and some pieces of pasta were cold but the plate was very hot. Alfredo portion seemed small, but had good flavor. Adding chicken to the dish was like $8, which seems steep. Tables around us were offered cheese on their dishes, we were not. The second bowl of bread he brought us had raw bits, so didn't eat it. Not sure if we were dressed too casual since we came from GWL or if they aren't family friendly, but I won't be back. read more

Went with the family, there were 8 of us, and was shocked to learn that bread and the dipping oil is no longer offered. Bread is an appetizer on the menu now and it's not nearly as good as it was in the past. That along with no longer being able to order a dish I loved (chicken pomodoro) because it was removed from the menu a few years ago. Service was ok. Nothing special. The restaurant was pretty empty for a Sat evening. I think Bravo will no longer be with us as a restaurant soon. I know I won't be going back. When I got back to my hotel it was disappointing to see the ceasar salad contained lettuce with a lot of brown on the romaine ribs. zero parmesan cheese and no ceasar dressing. The fried mozzarella was equally disappointing. The bread was the only part of the meal that was enjoyable. The rest was a total waste. Went into the trash. read more

Great service from Regan & food tonight at Bravo by the Dayton Mall. We walked in were seated right away brought warm focaccia bread with olive oil. We enjoyed an Apperal spritz and a gray goose martini which were made just right. Also enjoyed a side salad with the Parmesan dressing then to our main dishes, fettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, which came with three huge meatballs. I was at the Bravo in Mason, Ohio yesterday along with my two sisters. We love this restaurant. The food is always delicious. Serving sizes are beyond generous. Paul was our waiter, he's alway very polite and attentive. He's so knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The restaurant is always nice and clean. The atmosphere is comfortable and pleasing. The whole staff is friendly, they make you feel at home and appreciate you as a customer. We will definitely be returning for more delicious meals. read more

Is Bravo on its way out? Wife and I went for dinner on. Thursday evening. Not a whole lot of diners. I ordered a wine, that was "out". Chose a second. Bread is no longer complimentary. Now $4.50 if you want bread. We both ordered veal parmigiana. Was ok. Plates were not even with veal or pasta! Pasta was dry and sticking together. Veal was OK. Very little sauce or cheese. When in the mood for Italian again, will likely go somewhere else. read more

The food was okay, to be honest. However, they were super understaffed the day that we went. They only had three servers at the time for the entire restaurant. Our server Sophia was great even tho she had multiple tables scattered around the restaurant. We had the same drinks without no refill since they were all busy trying to keep up with all the tables. Starting with the bread and dipping oil, bread not fresh, oil was bland. I was served the wrong entree, server not aware of what he served me as opposed to what I ordered. When I finally was served the linguine and clams, it was so hot pepper flakes forward, it was barely edible. My cocktail of $13, Negroni, tasted like medicine. This was all unfortunate as this was a birthday dinner and the experience was less than enjoyable for me and my dinner companion. I will not return to this restaurant. read more

This is my first time here. The warm bread was perfect dipped into the sauce. My grilled salmon salad with balsamic was the best ever! The salmon was fresh and perfectly grilled. Although my creme brulee doesn't look nearly as beautiful and the ones at the restaurant, it was perfectly delicious. read more

Walked in and sat at the bar. It was a mess. The bartender asked us to give her two minutes which we kindly did. Ten minutes later she acknowledged us and removed the dirty dishes but left the placemats which still had stuff on them from the last patron. We ordered drink that took another ten minutes to get. Nothing special. Halfway through our drinks we ordered food we split a tossed salad, which wasn't bad. Or main course was a chicken with cream sauce and pasta dish that wasn't hot but just warm. I ate half of it and she asked if I wanted a to go box which I declined. This isn't high end dining. It's in the arena of Chedders and Fridays but trying to fool you as if they are better than that. I watched the staff stand around while we had a dirty bar in front of us. They could have come and helped the bartender but decided to stand and talk instead. The ambience is loud and a lot like a place older people go before 6pm. They claim to be upscale but there is nothing upscale about this place. NO COMPLEMENTARY BREAD & OIL I usually enjoy going to this Bravo restaurant. We've been there several times just in the last four months and been very pleased with the quality and quantity of food, and had very good service. Two weeks ago, however, we went and were disappointed because the portions were on the small side. I usually get the Pasta Woozie or Pasta Bravo, so I know what the usual serving size is. This time they were only about 3/4 the amount of what they had been a few weeks before. I thought maybe someone was new in the kitchen, and figured I'd try again before passing judgement. Well, tonight we went back and the portions of Pasta Woozie were even smaller, and inconsistently sized. My Pasta Woozie was smaller than my wife's had been two weeks ago, and was also a NOTICEABLY smaller portion than the one she got tonight. Her Woozie also had a lot of spinach, whereas mine only had two small leaves near the bottom of the dish. I couldn't even see them until I mixed it up. At least the Pasta Bravo my son got looked good sized, although it was probably 25-30% more than what I'd gotten two weeks ago. (That made me wonder whether the servers are dishing up these dinners from a large pot themselves. No idea, but it might explain the recent inconsistencies.) BRAVO, when I'm paying $18.99 for a dish, most of which is PASTA (which is NOT expensive), I don't understand skimping on the portion size. I usually have to get a box to take some home because I can't finish it. Tonight I ate it all and was still hungry. Very disappointing. Lastly, we have always enjoyed the complementary bread and dipping oil, especially when the restaurant is busy and it might take some time to get your meal. Tonight, we got NO BREAD & OIL. The waitress had asked us if we wanted any appetizers and we had said no. When she didn't bring the bread after a while, we called her back to the table, thinking perhaps she had misunderstood. We told her that we DO still want the complementary bread and dipping oil. But she told us they don't do that anymore. WHAT? We were just there two weeks ago and they served it! She then offered to get us an appetizer of six rolls, baked with garlic butter and seasonings for $4.50. I was hungry so I said yes. It came in a small 6-7" diameter disposable aluminum baking tin (think pie tin but taller and narrower), and the bread was six egg-sized doughy rolls in a buttery garlic sauce sprinkled with a little Parmesan and some herb that I couldn't identify. (Maybe Oregano or an Italian spice blend.) It was tasty enough, and as appetizers go that's a good price. But the rolls were SMALL (as I said, egg-sized), and not nearly as filling as the focaccia bread and oil that Bravo has served gratis for many years, at least up until two weeks ago. I might have to call around to see whether other Bravo restaurants have jettisoned complementary bread and dipping oil, or it's just this one. If it's just this one, I'll try another Bravo to see if their portion sizes are more reasonable. read more

Last time we went to the Deerfield Bravo, we sat in a nearly empty place at our table for almost 20 minutes with zero action taken, so we walked out-- PATHETICALLY LOUSY service. We tried again a few weeks later and sat for maybe 12 minutes in a literally empty place and was told no more bread and oil. Order taken including salad. 15 minutes later no salad, and 20 minutes later no food, other than the rolls we ordered. After having sat there almost 35 minutes we decided we were leaving and told the manager so. They gave an excuse that we had ordered only 20 minutes ago. Magically the salad showed up, and 2 minutes later, the food. No wonder they have declared bankruptcy. The food itself was good. Doubtful anyone will be back. read more

9/21/25 Went to Bravo's yesterday around 7:45. The place was empty except for two tables, a four top and a table of two. Had to wait for a table until they could clean one off. Set down and the table was all wet. Had to ask for a cloth to wipe it off. Even in this day and age the food is way over priced. If you want bread with your Italian meal that will be $4.50, Fettuccine Alfredo is $18.99 if you want chicken added add $8.99. portions are on the small side for the price. When it arrived at the table the dish was dried out. The taste wasn't bad but I like it creamy. The wine was not nine ounces. Short pour. so for 2 people the bill with tip was $120. two pasta dishes and 4 wines and 1 order of bread. Mason has way better restaurants then Bravo. I really don't think I will be back again. If a restaurant is dead on a Saturday night before 8 it makes you wonder what's going on. Service was good. Liked the server. Ambiance so so. I used to enjoy Bravo's back when. I used Bravo's for my Xmas dinner catering but I stopped that last year because of price and quality. read more

Very nice restaurant in a large strip mall. Just be cautious, our GPS took us to the opposite end of strip 2 blocks away. After driving around the designated area several times we called them for directions. Late lunch so not very busy, seated right away. Menus on the table. Our waitress brought us hot, and I mean HOT from the oven, bread and olive oil. Bread was heavenly. We both ordered the lunch combo of Lasagna and salad. My wife the house special salad, Insalata Della Casa, and I the Cesar salad. Both were cold, crisp and delightful. Our Lasagna was superb! Best we've had in a long time. No doubt that the pasta was homemade, so soft and creamy. A wonderful meal, great service and a beautiful, relaxing restaurant. We would come back to try something else if we weren't leaving in the AM. read more

Call ahead seating allowed! This option helped us get our party of 2 seated quickly during the Saturday night dinner rush! When the item I ordered ended up not being available at serve time, the team made it right on their own offer. This made for a repaired experience that was wonderful. The caprese with fresh mozzarella was exquisite- such fresh, soft mozzarella! I had plenty for leftovers to combine with my fettuccine alfredo side leftovers and table bread. So, I ate well and am coming home with leftovers! The chocolate dream was delicious- from brownie to mousse to chocolate syrup- absolutely delicious! Our server was so kind, calm, attentive, and willing to answer questions. read more

Next time we would order from the happy hour menu -prices were good and food selection was decent-we saw food served in the bar area and it looked good. We had a drink before our 6:00 reservations-and let the hostess stand know this. A line formed as we paid our bar bill at the hostess stand so I let them know we were ready when I was able to get to the stand-several walk-ins were seated before us so we had about a 20-minute wait for our six oclock reservations-even though when we arrived I let them know we were there (5:30). Our server was nice and apologized a lot for delays. We only had one dipping sauce plate for 4 of us. Food prices did not match the quality. Two at the table enjoyed their pizzas. My Romano Crusted Chicken salad was good but never offered parmesean cheese to top it. My friend has an overdressed chopped chicken salad. Waters never filled. And I wish I looked at the wine prices-compared to the happy hour they were high-$15 for a glass of prosecco served in a wine glass and it came after we ate. read more

I'm giving this an extra star because I'm used to finer dining, and if you guys are used to a more informal experience, you might like this place better than I did. I was with a party of seven and they had our reservation ready and showed us to a table right away. The service was generally good, maybe a little slow to check back on us, but not horribly so. These restaurants are huge and I'm really not sure why they try to pack tables in so close together. It was not full on a Saturday night and they could've taken a few tables out and kept parties a little further apart. Most notably, they have this rod that they store paper on which they use to cover the table. Yes, paper tablecloth, not cloth. So every time they did up a table, they had to disturb a couple people in our party to get back there to get this paper out. If they didn't cram the tables in so much, it could've been a much more peaceful meal for us. Also, the way they did up the tables with all the paper and padding and layers meant that a wine glass could not stand on its own without falling unless you put it in exactly the right place. I thought the whole table experience was on par with Ozzie's crab shack. Between the seven of us I think we had maybe five different dishes. I had eggplant Parmesan, and the eggplant was pretty good, but they are so stingy with the sauce that I had to ask for extra, and the sauce I got was so sickeningly sweet that I kind of wished I hadn't gotten it. Why do we have to add sugar to everything? I really don't believe the tomatoes were as sweet as that. I mentioned I had wine, and I am glad that I did because the water in my glass tasted like dishwater. It really was one of the worst glasses of water I have ever had. But the Wine was not great either, and I ordered a brand that I knew, and it just kind of made me wonder if the wine was really old or something. I don't know. The girls liked their salads, and the lobster bisque was good. Overall, it was a really disappointing meal, and when my buddy grabbed the check, I let him. But next time I think we'll go to a better restaurant and I will grab the check then. read more

Had a horrific customer service experience. I would like to first say that our server/bartender Deana was amazing ,sweet and deserves to be promoted, with that out of the way we had a horrible experience with the GM Candace. Ordered a spaghetti bolognese, it came out dry like it was under a heat lamp for a prolonged period. When it was brought to the GMs attention she twirled my food with her hair hanging over the plate and asked me if she wanted me to dump marinara sauce on top? I said no I ordered bolognese not marinara, she told me not be rude and that's how it's made. I was shocked and said no I will pass, not only did I not want her hair in my pasta I also did not want a crispy heat lamp heated dish with a sauce I didn't order on top of it. She then attempted to argue the situation again as we were attempting to leave. Look if you hate your job, quit, if you're having an off night go home, but don't take it out on people who are attempting to have an enjoyable night out. Will never be back ! read more

We dined here last evening, a get together with family members. Our server, Dawn, was very patient with us as we awaited the arrival of family members coming from Columbus who had gotten caught in traffic. So, the food was excellent and we all had a good time. Dawn was very attentive to any needs that we had as we leisurely enjoyed our meal and our time together, she is clearly an asset to this establishment. Here is where I give a three star instead of a five. It has nothing to do with our server or the food, it has everything to do with the bill. I am familiar with Brio/Bravo and have eaten at the Newport, KY location many times. I know that as an upscale dining experience the cost will also be a little more. The food cost, I thought, was reasonable for these days but the cost of alcoholic beverages here was absolutely outrageous. For me, this is true price gouging! A Miller Lite beer was $10.00. The wine we chose was $22.00 a glass, my wife and I each had a glass so, $44.00. For $49.00 we could have had a bottle, allowing us to have two glasses each for just $5.00 more. I did have a private conversation with Dawn about this. As this is a new wine menu she had not considered the cost issue. OK, you might say I should have taken note of the prices and not order alcoholic beverages, and you would be right. I take full ownership of having to pay the price for not paying attention. I would also say that my experience with Brio/Bravo in terms of purchasing alcoholic beverages with our meal has never been such a shock. This is definitely going to be a consideration in the future when we visit this restaurant. read more
