This was my first visit to Carrabba's in literally decades. This was my first attendance to one of their monthly cocktail dinners & it was absolutely marvelous. The food, the service, the cocktails & the ambiance were all top level. I have been to restaurants that charge much more for the same type of menu & the food we were served was far superior to any previous experience I had at other, so called more prestigious places. The efficiency with which each course was served was commendable & appreciated. The quality of food we dined on was the perfect intermingling of both textures & flavors. Each course was an adventure in satisfying Italian cuisine. The hostess of the event absolutely made the evening even more memorable. She was bright & bubbly. She was courteous & welcoming. There were prizes distributed throughout the event, which made for a very lively & fun atmosphere. Overall, the dinner felt like I was in Italy enjoying a boisterous family gathering, but not the overwhelming type. I look forward to attending more of these events. The hostess, hosting restaurant & our table mates made the night an experience I will never forget. read more

I had an assortment of Carraba's takeout at a business event. Everything was delicious! Pastas were al'dente, flavorful. Garlic bread was light and fresh. The broccoli itself was loaded with garlic, perhaps too much for people. My absolute favorite though was the grilled chicken! So flavorful, great char and juicy. I could eat so much of this. Salads were fresh and crisp. Dressings were traditional Italian and Caesar. Both good. Cannoli were good too. Overall, nice food here. I came back after not being able to come in a while. The atmosphere changed a bit, but t was still warm and inviting. The hosts at the front desk were welcoming and engaging. I was sat pretty quickly, because I went on a Thursday night. The server was so engaging and welcoming and took my drink order. They had another server who was delivering the drinks. I thought that was great teamwork. I order and my food came out amazing. The food was hot and fresh and all of the things I enjoyed about Carrabba's Italian Grill was shown. I'll be back. read more

For a chain, it's not bad. Our service was fantastic. We had 11 at the table and we never had to ask for anything. They know how to handle large groups. The food is Salty. You will want a pitcher of water. I tried the lasagna and was not disappointed. Although incredibly salty, it's a good lasagna with quality cheese. If we had another large group that wanted to come here, I would definitely join in. read more

We went in for lunch on Sunday afternoon and had to wait for about 15 minutes to be seated. Kenna waited on us. She was pleasant and took our order correctly. I had a dine reward so it helped with the bill. I had the shrimp and scallops and my wife had the grilled trout which she raved about especially since there were no bones in the fish and she said it was delicious. The meals also came with a salad. I had the fresh salad with blue cheese and my wife had the Italian salad. This restaurant is good for families and groups too. read more

I went here for the first time with my aunt & got the chicken Bryan. It ended up being very tasty but the wait was definitely on the longer side for everything. The ads for the Sangria dinner caught my eye. It was $75 for an AMUSE BOUCHE + 4 courses, a glass of Prosecco + 4 different sangrias. It was such a fun experience and honestly worth the money! You can see the food included down below. It felt like a hidden gem, & a great value. They also did a raffle & I won a cosmopolitan drink set. The service was great at the dinner too. Additionally they have the option to add a to go entree for cheap. & the first time I got the lobster ravioli & the 2nd the Johnny trio. Great for the price, but the lobster raviolis were my least favorite of the entrees. Made a mistake coming to Carrabba's at 4:18 pm on Mother's Day to celebrate ( party of four adults). The Midlothian location was NOT GOOD. Extended wait to be seated. Women's bathrooms are dirty. Extended wait for an alcohol drink and additional paper napkins. Appetizers were good and fresh. Four main courses were ordered and after an extended wait absolutely NOTHING WAS COMING! The waitress came and started out " This is not what you probably want to hear...." Turned out that IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR CELEBRATORY DINNER due to their problems with kitchen/ staffing/and ineffective management our food order cannot be completed...unless we wait, get this, another hour/ hour and a half. That of course was declined. Then more extended wait was followed waiting for a manager to come to the table to approve no charges for drinks and appetizers. It was approved at the end of the wait and apologies were offered but you cannot eat apology, can you? If you have special ocassion then do not risk coming to Carrabbas. Lots and lots of waiting and you still might end up having to leave to finish dinner somewhere else. Happened to me. read more

Great dining here. I frequent this restaurant occasionally & have enjoyed the menu each time. As far as I know there is no real dress code here, plenty of parking as the building sits across from the Chesterfield Mall, which I love as there is always a parking space. Waiting staff is always on point. Nice ambiance, can be a bit noisy from time to time, birthday celebrations can bring that on, otherwise a great place to have a good meal. I was pleasantly surprised. I hadn't been back here in years because our first visit was so awful. The food has really gotten good here. We are quickly seated every time we've been since we started going back. All 3 times the food has been wonderful. Each time we've also opted for the take home for $10 and gotten the lasagna all the way around and had a nice dinner the following evening. I definitely recommend this place. read more

I've been to my local Carrabba's a number of times; I used to love the place but it was in dire need of a lot of things. We stopped going because of the heavy smell of mildew (old carpeting) and it just seemed to be in somewhat of a decline. So when our kids, who live in Richmond, suggested we go there we went, but not necessarily excited to go. I will tell you this - the menu is exactly the same as the one in Bowie, but the service was head and shoulders above. The food was good, which was expected, but the service was great - and that was more than I expected. Our server was a wonderful person (I am truly sorry I cannot recall her name) who made sure we were well taken care of. We'll definitely dine here again. read more

Love this restaurant! Great service great food and fantastic ambiance. We had a lovely dinner starting with yummy bread dipped in olive oil and seasoning. We had the simply salmon with Bryan topping and the pollo Maria both were fabulous! We did not save room for dessert but I'm sure it would have been delicious also. My husband and I had some confusion with the fettuccine alfredo, we saw the menu talking about some alfredo but we didn't want any alfredo. Thankfully our server Helen was able to clear up the confusion and provided us with a wonderful experience. She was kind, funny, unbelievably helpful/understanding and had us feel right at home the whole time. Carrabba's is a staple Italian chain on the road when I can find it. This particular location has served me well over the years. It's been a while and for some reason I never penned a review when they really have been fantastic over several years. For starters all orders have been curbside which work incredibly well off their app, try it! Most entrees have been chicken parmigiana or spaghetti & meatballs. Both dishes so yum! The staff have been top notch too! I recommend and btw...ton better than Olive Garden. 3.5 rounding up. read more

Went to Carrabbas for a carry out lunch today. We ended up getting some of the lunch specials plus sides to go with dinner as we had a gift card. Husband got the steak marsala sandwich with truffle fries and I got the meatball, soup and salad trio. All the food was middling but very good value for the price and well cooked. Curb side service was speedy and our server was friendly during our brief interaction. The location of this one is nice even though it's in the mall shopping center, it's stand alone spot with parking all around makes the overall experience better than a restaurant attached to the mall in my opinion. We ended up getting lunch, bread, plus two sides of potatoes and two sides of pasta to go with dinner, all for about $50. Can't complain! Easy cooking day for mama! read more

Came here for dinner on a Monday - when I was younger Carraba's felt like a fancier dinner spot but now, it feels like standard chain-restaurant fare. The bread and oil they give to start is decent, the bread is a little soft and chewy (feels a TOUCH underdone) and the oil tastes like...olive oil. We ordered the new Garden Ravioli (which I was excited about) and Rigatoni Martino with gluten-free pasta to share. We got a minestrone soup and house salad with vinaigrette to accompany our mains. The minestrone (the only vegetarian soup option) was okay, lacked flavor but was served super hot which was appreciated. Salad was pretty standard and a little boring, and beware that the Caesar dressing has anchovies if you are vegetarian. The rigatoni was decent - it lacked sauce (we asked for a bit more sauce on the side) and flavor, could have had more of a kick and could have coated the pasta more thickly. Sometimes I got bites of plain noodle with almost no sauce. The ravioli was disappointing - it looked slopped onto the plate, and there was just no actual flavor besides tomato-y sauce and plain sautéed veggies in the filling. Adding a star for the service, as our server was accommodating, quick, and checked on us just the right amount. We won't be back - I'd probably go to Olive Garden over Carraba's to be honest. read more

We order from Carrabba's once a week for delivery over the past several years. The last 3 times something was missing. Tonight and last time we were missing an entree. Both times the Chicken Marsala. They weren't crossed off on the receipt. Everyone else got to eat. I got a salad only. Most of the time they don't remember the bread either. We love Carrabba's, but I think we're done. It's not the delivery services fault because the bag is stapled closed. read more

The food left much to be desired. I ordered the Classic Sampler and the calamari tasted like salt, as did the mozzarella sticks. I was too afraid to eat the bruschetta because of how salty everything else was. No one at our table finished their food and when my sister asked the waitress for her salad to come with no cheese it was covered in Parmesan. The waitress tried to argue that it wasn't cheese but eventually the manager came out and apologized. The ambiance was fine, the bathroom could have been cleaner but this will probably be my last time going to Carrabba's. read more

The food here was okay, the location was nice, but the service was not. We had a Server who left much to be desired. We went for lunch, they were not crowded, but somehow he could never be found and rarely was he attentive enough to check on us. We were a party of 6, and needed things periodically. I give this review three stars because of the wait time. We were at the Midlothian location in Richmond, VA. We placed our order and got the soup, salad​ and ice tea. After waiting for about an hour we summoned the waitress to inquire about our entres. We were then told that there was only one cook working and he was backed up. We accepted the excuse and continued to wait. About thirty minutes later we got our steaks which we both ordered well done, no pink. Mine was cooked to order, my sister's was pink in the middle. We talked to the manager and told her we did not want the food. She was very apologetic and told us we didn't have to pay anything. The food we ate was good and the service was good except for the fact that we should have been told there was only one cook and given the option to wait or leave. Ate here for dinner with wife around 530pm. Not busy and we were seated right away. I did take a little while for someone to visit our table. Waiter was polite and friendly. The restaurant is clean inside and out. The bread came to the tabke first and was hot and fresh. Our dish was the chicken trio and we split this. We still had some left over. The dish was very good and cook well. The price was fair for the quality and portions. We hope to return and try something different. read more

Spend your money at Olive Garden instead. There was a 20 min wait on a Sunday evening, no big deal, but our service was terrible. Logan was nice but he served everything late and cold. I ordered a glass of wine that took forever to arrive at our table. He said the bar was busy. There were 4 people behind the bar and all they had to do was pour a glass. Then our appetizer came out after our soup. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer, which arrived cold. It was obviously sitting waiting to be delivered to our table. I ordered minestrone and he served us what looked like vegetable soup with garbanzo beans, potatoes, cabbage, zucchini, onion and tomatoes. I told him, I thought we ordered the minestrone and he said we did, but the recipe had changed because someone had chocked on the original recipe so they had to change it. Which sounded completely absurd to me. So I asked for the salad instead. Once our meal finally came out, I ordered the eggplant Parmesan, it was over cooked and burnt. It was very oily and disgusting. My husband ordered the medallion steak with shrimp and fettuccine and the noodles were dry and the shrimp was over cooked. Both the shrimp and steak were burnt on some pieces. The meal was not good and I will probably never be back. read more

After a day of errands, I decided to stop at Carrabas and order dinner to go. I sat at the bar, had a drink and waited for my order. I was astounded that it costs nearly $10.00 ($9.60 to be exact) for a short rum and coke which was paltry at best. My order camre out and without looking at it I went home. $40.00 for what amounted to a piece of tough veal, a side of spinach (the only tatsy thing in the meal) and a paltry order of Fettucini which has to be the most tasteless fettucini ever put forth and a side of their meatballs(not bad). All in all, Carrabas, a once reasonable place for a decent meal has fallen to low standards but surprisingly higher prices. Definitely not worth it anymore, disappointing. read more

We used to frequent here regularly, either dine in or take out. The past two times we've ordered take out, we've been sadly disappointed. We just ordered a sirloin that was overcooked. The pasta weezy portion appears to have been cut almost in half. Like everywhere else the prices have skyrocketed. Three entrees totalling almost $100. Not worth it for pasta! read more
