Calling this place a DUMP is kinda unfair to the establishment but they are close to being one. The waitstaff are nice and attentive though. This half restaurant half bar establishment looks really dingy on the inside. The "dining" area is dark and reminiscent of poor people having dinner inside their barn. Half of the people hated their dinner. The Caesar salad came out really soggy from too much dressing. The fried shrimp platter was more batter than meat. The mussels with garlic was WAY too salty. I wonder if the chef put salt into the dish, because mussels itself are salty. The garlic bread that comes with it was garlicky and toasty. Good to mop off the mussel gravy but again, I wish it wasn't that salty. The dishes we liked: the fried mozzarella was OK. My wahoo fried fish was actually good. I think it's beer battered fish and served with fries. They also have veggie burger and you can ask them to substitute a veggie patty for all the burger dishes listed (eg. you can tell them you want a veggie patty on the mushroom and cheese burger). I don't think I will ever come back to this place. Blargh.

This place is trully a hidden GEM! Almost drove by and didn't stop. Soooo glad we did! The service is amazing, the food was freah and no wait! And our waitress Ally was absolutely amazing! Attentive, friendly and always checking in on us made the experience here cozy, familiar and all the better.

They are spicy wings, but tasted very much like plain dry wings to us.

I went although I had previously heard they had bad food. I went for wings. Bad idea. Over priced , food had no flavor - mild was not mild , spicy was not spicy , teriyaki tasted like plain wings with sesame seeds on - it every flavor tasted the same. They didn't give any ranch or blue cheese with wings . Will not be returning ever.

This "fried calamari" was soggy and terribly under cooked. Super nasty!!!

By far the best restaurant we dined in during our Poconos vacation. Walking in, we quickly realized…read morewe were in a hot spot because the place was busy for a Tuesday night in September. Despite not having a reservation, we were able to be seated. But I do suggest planning ahead and reserving a table. Especially if you visit during high season. Anyhow, the service was excellent. Our server, Sam was extremely attentive. She explained the menu to you and shared some recommendations. We started out with a Caesar salad to share and knew right then that the servings would be ample! The kitchen was kind enough to split the salad for us between two plates and I'd have thought just half was shareable. But lucky us, plenty to indulge. We absolutely LOVED the dressing but found it a slight tad heavy handed. If we make it back, we'd definitely ask for dressing on the side. But nonetheless we appreciated the authentic Caesar dressing complete with anchovy paste. For entrees we had the penne vodka with sausage and shrimp 360. Both plates were big enough to feed an army and made for nice left overs. But make no mistake, both were delicious! Hit it out of the park, delicious! And beautiful al denté pasta. This meal really hit the spot. Even though we were completely stuffed, we managed to find room for homemade pumpkin cheesecake! I don't say this lightly, but it was hands down the best slice of cheesecake I've ever had. We couldn't stop raving about out it! This is a great restaurant to visit when visiting the Poconos. The setting was elegant in an understated way while being incredibly cozy! I think it would be great for larger groups but also intimate enough for couples.

Great food and service. The atmosphere is also very welcoming…read more Their bread, soups and salads are a great introduction to the tasty entree to the tasty main courses.

Garland was silver and beautiful but spoke winter and not autumn. We were seated at a lovely table overlooking the lake. However, the lake is not lit and the view out the window was a black void. We ordered sparkling water. The menu offered one Thanksgiving option and varied dinner options from seafood to pasta. I didn't choose the Thanksgiving option because it was lacking appealing side dishes. Instead, I ordered salmon and a Broccolini Caesar salad to start. The salad was delicious and my husband loved his garden salad. My seared salmon arrived sitting next to small capers in some kind of sauce. My husband ordered scallops and they sat beside risotto. His scallops though seared were undercooked inside. My salmon was nicely seared but small capers as a side? Our dinners were disappointing. We ordered chocolate cheesecake with a brownie crust to go. Trying it after we were home, it was a fluffy top but definitely not cheesecake. Our meals cost $140. I should add that our waitress, Annmarie? was fantastic. Overall, an expensive disappointing dinner.

My husband and I had our very first date here and it was amazing. We will continue to return there…read morebecause it holds a special place to our heart. The service has always been top notch when we were there. The food is always outstanding. Donald is the best waiter in the world ... he deserves a raise !!!!!! Everytime we are there he has made our night! The only reason I did not give it the 5 stars is because recently they changed the menu and we did prefer the old one better.

Although a nice feature is that you can reserve a table and available time through the Mount Airy website, which links you to a commonly used site called OpenTable. As a quick note, if you are a seafood lover with Italian food, then this may be your place to be. Unfortunately I am not a seafood fan, but I thought that there were still enough menu options to try this restaurant out. To start off, our waiter was not very knowledgable about the menu or drinks they offer. Not only this, he never offered to ask a manager or even a more experienced waiter/waitress about the menu. For a small place with very many employees just standing around, this should have not been an issue. The restaurant itself was very nice, but pretty small. It actually seemed like the spaced allotted to the restaurant was shared with the steakhouse. If you combined the size of the steakhouse and this Italian restaurant, you would have a nice sized restaurant. After we finally sorted out the drinks and menu, since there was olive oil and seasoning on the table, we thought we would be treated to bread as you normally are at Italian restaurants. Well besides the bread taking forever to come, we had to serve the olive oil and seasoning ourselves and we were only given the option to choose 1 piece of bread each off of a tray. The bread was warm and delicious, but I would have liked to enjoy more than one piece! I had to actually ask for another piece of bread to be brought over. I never thought I would go to an Italian restaurant that had bread rationing. Not only this, I've had better service at Carabba's or even the Olive Garden and they are not even considered fine dining! Next, it took almost an hour of waiting for our food to be delivered. Sitting in front of the kitchen, I could not find an excuse for this since the chefs were basically just standing around the entire time. Thankfully we were given our desert for free without contest for the wait. However, the excuse was lame and was blamed on a party of 12. So I guess do not visit this restaurant on a busy day! When our food finally came, we were unimpressed with the food for something considered "fine dining" where you should be given crafty and flavorful food, especially for the prices! This was not the case. The food was nothing more than average with little flavor at all. Where the fine dining aspect comes in is on the plate size. Definitely small portions compared to most other Italian restaurants. Overall, very disappointed with this restaurant. For the price of our bill, we would have been much better off at the buffet.
