    Calamari and sliders

Spacious and chill spot for brunch! We got a couple of drinks and for food we shared the calamari, prosciutto and arugula pizza, sliders and fries. Overall good spot for brunch and plenty of seating! Also saw a lot of birthday parties so great for groups!

Some friends and I had dinner here before a show in the area. We arrived early in the evening and the place was packed. The decor was nice and the vibe was energetic. The seating area was a bit small and you were sitting right next to another party. We ordered meatball parm sliders as an appetizer for the table that came in two and each of us were able to eat one. For dinner, I ordered the lasagna and two other friends ordered the penne alla vodka with chicken and the other had sausages. We all enjoyed our meals with no complaints. None of us ordered cocktails agreeing we would be nodding at the show we were going to see shortly after dinner. lol Our server was sweet and friendly. The bathrooms were clean and the attendant in the bathroom had everything you needed when you finished in the restroom so take some dollars for a small tip. lol Overall we had a great time and I would definitely return to check out some menu items.

Located in the heart of Greenwich Village (a.k.a. NYU territory), Carroll Place is a big, lively restaurant that's fun for a weekend brunch. I went with a few friends on a weekend and we started with drinks at the bar before sitting down for their prix-fixe brunch, which includes 90 minutes of unlimited brunch cocktails for around $38. The food was pretty solid, my omelette was fresh. As for drinks, the mimosas were just okay, and I wasn't a fan of the sangria. But the overall energy was great, the place was packed, the music was loud (in a fun way), and the playlist was solid. Our server was friendly, and there was good service. I'd recommend Carroll Place more for the scene, location, and group brunch vibes than for standout food or cocktails.

Food: Came here for some unlimited boozy brunch deal! Ended up ordering the burger with the mimosa deal and I could not have been any happier- the burger was delicious and the addition of the unlimited option was one of the better deals I have seen in the city! Cost: Approximately around $40 for unlimited drinks + burger option (I do know it was a slight upcharge for the burger choice out of the entree options). Environment: Fairly large establishment! Was able to have a party of 7-8 fit and be accommodated without any issue. Service: The service was great! Our waitress was always keeping an eye out and making sure our mimosa pitcher was alway full and ready for us to demolish haha Uniqueness: Great place for brunch, especially if you want a boozy brunch with a fun atmosphere and plenty of room for large groups!

Overall: I went here on a Saturday night with my girlfriend. We had a reservation for 8:30. When we arrived, the entry way was packed and several groups with 8:00 reservations hadn't been seated yet and were told to hang out at the bar. We were actually seated right away, but in the upstairs dining room. The food was good, but the upstairs area was basically forgotten by the wait staff and was dominated by another bar area. The food was good, but probably won't be back based on the overall experience. Food: 4 Drinks: 3 Service: 1 Value: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Food: The food was very good, easily the highlight of the night. We got the meatball parm sliders, the lasagna, and the pappardelle. The sliders were pretty unique, with a crushed meatball and a slab of parmesan cheese between a soft bun. The lasagna was very savory and cheesy and came out hot (took an extra 20 minutes, which we were warned about). Drinks: We each got a cocktail. I got the 'You Must Chill' (mix of run and several liqueurs) and my girlfriend got the 'Ding Ding Ding' (spicy marg). They were fine, but nothing special. We each thought they were lacking overall flavor. Service: This part was dreadful. We were seated quickly and had our drink orders taken, but then we were basically forgotten. We had to make a point of flagging down a waiter to order food, get refills, and pay our bill. Even then, they got distracted and needed to be reminded. The point-of-sale software they were using failed at some point, which caused another delay while the waiter tried to fix it. The table next to us took over an hour to order their food. Maybe the issue was that we were in the upstairs area, but it was pretty frustrating. Value: I thought the food prices were reasonable: $15 for the meatball sliders, $22 for lasagna, and $21 for the pappardelle. The cocktails were $15-16 each, which was kind of a lot for how small they were. Atmosphere: The restaurant was dimly lit and decorated with lots of holiday themed touches. It looked promising going in. Again, I think the issue may have been sitting upstairs. The upstairs part seemed like they couldn't decide between being a nice Italian restaurant or a cheap college bar. Our table was half booth; my girlfriend said the bench she was seated on was covered in dirt, as if it was common for people to stand on it to dance. Our specific table was nearest to the bar and we were regularly dealing with people throwing their coats next to us and shouting. The upstairs bathroom door was broken so it didn't latch properly. Lots of potential, but overall not a great experience.

Went for brunch on a Sunday at 11:30am. Not crowded at all which was great. Food was decent and servers were pleasant. Overall, nothing amazing but not bad place to go if you didn't make a brunch reservation elsewhere.

Same owners as Ainslie in Williamsburg so very similar menu/style. The brunch special was the same with $32 unlimited drinks INCLUDING entree which is great. However service was not great, we were seated for 30 minutes before anyone came and greeted us or anything. We had to ask a busser who our server was and he went to go grab someone. It was good they left carafes for us but food was decent.

As a dinner spot, there are probably better options out there. As a bar spot to go hang out on a weekend night with drinks and music, this might be the place for you. As for the dinner, the food was ok and service was just blah. The pizzas we ordered were charred all over and soggy. Picking up a slice resulted in the whole thing slipping off and turning into a pile of greasy soggy dough with random pizza ingredients sprinkled all around. The pasta dishes were good but barely enough to call a complete meal for one person. Service was not memorable. We asked for any recommendations and got a dismissive answer. We didn't want to order drinks or appetizers at the time so the waiter got annoyed. He barely showed up to check in on us and just didn't seem welcoming. The best was when he came and gave us the check so we could pay and finally leave this place to get a second meal elsewhere cause this place just did not cut it.

We went to this place for a friend's birthday dinner . Upon walking in, the place was really cute! The service started off, shaky. We had a party of 18 and the tables that they gave us was just not picking up to suit our party. We asked to be moved to a different area, but they said they had a bigger party. However, they ended up moving us to that place, which was interesting because I thought they said they had a party. It ended up that they did have a party. We just got there first. I'm glad they moved us because it was definitely more comfortable. The bottom is option was all or nothing but that's pretty typical for a restaurant in the city. We got the some appetizers: - Caesar salad was made out of spinach. Spinach leave the weird taste in my mouth which has nothing to do with the restaurant. The salad was good. -The Meatballs were so good. Not dry and very flavorful. -The Fries were incredible. They had a hint of truffle flavor. They also had a nice bite to them. - The brussels sprouts were cooked well. I wish they were more saucy. - The pizza was floppy but decent. I'm overall not a huge pizza fan but I liked the thinness of the crust. - The penne alla vodka lacked a decent amount of sauce for me. I needed more of that creamy tomato sauce. - The chicken was kind of dry but okay. After like 10pm, the place turned into a club vibe. The music was bumping and it was a nice mix between current and oldies songs. I would recommend!

Fun place, nice ambiance, cool interior. Gets very crowded as it gets closer to noon for brunch. They have large bar area with high top tables, a large back dining room, an upstairs dining room And a covered outdoor seating area. It's a fun environment, but it does get loud, so if you want a quiet place, to have a conversation, this is NOT it! There is a bathroom Downstairs but also a single bathroom on main floor. Menu is larger than it looks and all dishes were nicely presented, good portions and tasty. Lots of vegetarian options. I had the eggs with tomato sauce and polenta which was excellent . Other dishes were good as well, no pics Unfortunately. They have a bottomless brunch, I think for $30, which def seemed worth it.

The fourth star is definitely for the bottomless mimosa brunch that you can choose mimosas bloodies or sangria. The food was legitimately good though as well. But the Pride can't be beat. $30 includes your brunch entree (which can include pizzas and can also include some other things at an upcharge). I got the eggs Benedict which were a little small but came with fries and a nice looking salad. Girlfriend got an omelette that came with toast, fries and a salad (even though these weren't listed on the menu so it is a full plate you get). Food was good. Mimosas were also good.

    Risa H.

Good spot for chill drinks at the bar - wines are around $12 per glass and if you sit at the bar you can watch them make pizzas in the wood fired oven. We snacked on the 3 for $18 cheeses - Gorgonzola / Manchego / Pecorino di toscano, which came with bread. Would like to come back for happy hour!

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached.
