Finally a great health food spot on the mile. Very tasty and clean eating. The tuna poke bowl was absolutely fresh and delicious (completely forgot to take a pic because of how good it was). Very nice staff and the food is good. On a regular basis I buy the avocado toast with tuna salad. It always comes with two pieces of toast, avocado and tuna salad. Today, I sent someone to pick up my order and the portion was cut by 50% and my order included only one piece of toast . I wasn't sure if this was a mistake by whoever prepared my order or if it was a purposeful change. I had someone call and indeed they were told that because of "inflation" the menu had changed. Last I checked inflation is not 50%. They would have been better off keeping portions the same and increasing the price by 10% instead of keeping the price the same and cutting portions by half. They were expensive before now it is to the point of absurdity. Not going back. read more

Today was my first time eating at carrot express. Let's just say that I will definitely be returning. OMG. The vegan selection warms my heart. I ate the vegan sauce bowl with a green dream juice. Truly not one to leave reviews but this one deserved it. I am a huge fan of carrot express but my experience at the gables location was everything but great. For starters the individual who took my order had no sense of customer service and it was quite clear he did not want to be there. At the time that we received our food (one wrap and 2 acais) the wrap was not toasted and cheese was barely melted however, it was edible. On the other hand, our açaís were rock hard frozen. If you eat açaí bowls often you'd know this is meant to be a thick smoothie consistency NOT FROZEN where my spoon barely broke through. I went up to the counter and nicely told this same man who had taken my order that my açaí was rock solid. He went off to tell me in a very rudely manner that all of them were like that I told him that açaí bowls are not meant to be frozen, he went on to take the spoon out of my bowl put it inside and another bowl he was prepping (which btw was also solid) and said "they are all like that " so I told him I couldn't eat it like that This man has gone off to take the bowl from me and told me that it was fine that he was going to melt it by putting it in the oven and I was just going to have to wait a while. Ummm. Clearly he's teasing me at this point I asked him for the bowl back and he continued to insist. He finally returned the bowl to me where I went to tel him I didn't need him to help me any further. A younger lady later came to my table to nicely ask me if she can redo the bowl or blend the açaí base which is what I should have been offered from the GET But at this point I was so insulted and over it that I denied it. Bowls ended in the trash smh. I will NOT be returning to this location. South Miami location is AMAZING in comparison and the food is always fresh. read more

I ordered through Uber and they did not send any sauces with the food (their Food is not dry without sauce, I just love the sauces) I called and spoke to Anna, their manager. She was very helpful and understanding .She sent the sauces right away and included a free carrot cake! My office order from here everyday for lunch. they are always late on delivery, but this time it was an HOUR late. I spoke with their delivery woman and told her to cancel the order because who i ordered for was not able to wait that long; he had to leave. she told me that she's going to get me half off discount next time i order. I call in today and the girl who answered the phone had an attitude, didn't even bother asking someone about the discount or how to accommodate. said "no we don't do that...not our fault if we have a lot of orders at that time". Took the short walk over to Carrot Express from my job for some lunch. Carrot express is constantly providing catering for we work events and I've wanting to get a better taste of their full menu. My co workers and I decided to go for take out and I ordered the Thai Noodle Salad with Salmon. The noodle salad was $13.95 and the salmon came with a $9 up charge. I think that the prices are pretty steep for the amount of food that you get but not gonna lie that was one of the best salmons I've had in a while. I was pleasantly surprised to eat such deliciously flavored and crispy salmon from a place like this, it almost had a luxurious flavor to it. I knocked down my rating to four stars mainly for the pricing cause within two hours I was hungry again and for a place where everything is pre cooked and all the employees do is assemble the food I thought that it took a very long time for my order to be ready, my co worker and i were the only ones in the restaurant. And my co workers salad order came completely separate. When she opened her bag she had to put her salad together so I could understand why the wait for our order was so long. read more

So disappointed! Was looking forward to a fresh, healthy lunch after being in quarantine for so long and cooking at home everyday. I haven't been out to eat in months due to COVID, and my friend and I stumbled upon this place around 1:30 after going for a walk. To start, they got our order wrong after waiting over 20 minutes to get our food (not so "express"). I got an Asian salad, she got avocado toast, and we ordered a green juice to split. They charged us $17 for a salad instead of the $5 juice we ordered. About halfway through eating my salad, I noticed a short dark hair in my food. I have long, highlighted hair, so it was definitely not mine. Gross! I brought my salad over to show one of the employees who looked at me blankly, then took it to show another employee who was preparing the food. She turned to look at me, shrugged, and couldn't have cared less. I stood there waiting for a reply, and the first girl offered to make me another salad. No way, I had completely lost my appetite by then and did not want them to make me another hairy salad. That was it. Their reaction was pure indifference. No apology. I was not offered a different substitution such as a smoothie, nor a refund. Poor customer service and terrible hygiene is what you'll find here. The people preparing the food do not wear hair nets, so don't be surprised to find start hair in your food. This was very upsetting especially in a time where hygiene and cleanliness is of utmost importance. I do not recommend eating here nor will I be back. read more
