Great place to stop for a quick, healthy lunch if you're out and about in Midtown. I ordered the La Bomba - a toasted wrap with falafel, quinoa, veggies, hummus and cilantro sauce. It was delicious and so different! I probably could have split it with someone. It was huge. Cons: my fiancé ordered some kind of chicken entree - he really liked it, but it came out 10 minutes before mine, so he had to wait for my food to arrive. (I guess he didn't HAVE to, but, ya know, it's awkward not to). This isn't a tapas restaurant so I don't understand why they didn't just bring the plates out together. It was annoying. Also - the women's bathroom was really gross. Smelled like it hadn't been deep cleaned in forever. I'm sure I will be back. Food was really good. This is why I should not try to eat healthy lol! I forgot lunch at the office, and my co workers were going here to grab some food. I ordered a tuna salad wrap. A) it cost $15! That's absurd for a simple wrap. B) When I got the wrap it was sitting in a nice puddle of water. I am assuming they didn't drain the tuna enough. C) I still can't get over being charged $15 for a wrap! Horrible. I ordered my food from Uber eats. The food is a little expensive but I wanted to treat myself since I've been craving the acai bowl recently. When it arrived, I was astonished. I order an almond butter acai bowl with extra granola and extra almond butter. Instead, I received a bowl of soup. The container is almost entirely melted acai with bits and pieces of fruits floating around. There was no almond butter and I honestly can't say for sure if there's any granola because there's so much liquid. As for the fruits, there only seems to be pineapple and blueberry. I'm honestly really disappointed. Especially because I know the owner really cares about his product. I can't speak for their other items, but I definitely don't recommend the acai bowl. I would give it five stars for the food because the food is pretty good, but restaurants have to understand that experience and service is everything. That's why people GO TO YOU, if not they would just eat at home. It's happened to me several times where This place forgets to bring out my food.. so I sit there watching my table finish their meals while I wait. A few years ago this was a great option in Midtown. Now it's total garbage. The food is always sub par. The wait time is super long. Today I ordered a Turkey burger. It is supposed to come with avocado, greens, etc. it came bare. Like just meat and a bun. Also they put some sesame seeds on our other item which was supposed to have sesame seeds. It was for a toddler so IYKYK. After waiting 25 mins I had to wait again for the order to be fixed. When I asked for manager (I asked the person who looked like the manager) he shooed me away and had someone else help me. I asked if she was the manager. Sometimes when getting bowls from other places I am a little sad on the amount of actual tuna is give --- not here Carrot Express loads it up! So awesome! Also a fan of the wraps: tuna & falafel. Was in the area and decided to swing by for lunch with my mom. We were originally looking for Lime but decided to try something new. At first we thought this place was "The Last Carrot" which is located in Coconut Grove but apparently it's not the same. It still caught my attention because I was in the mood for healthy options. The menu was nice, has lots of options but for reason i wasn't too convinced. My mom decided that we shared something so we decided to get the stuffed sweet potato with roasted eggplant and cheese. We also ordered the Acai dream smoothie which comes with Acai, blueberries, strawberries, fresh orange juice and banana. At first they brought us the plate but took it back because they forgot the egg plant . So they just basically took of the cheese, warmed up the eggplant and placed it on top. When the plate arrived the sweet potato was already cold and the cheese was not completely melted. Nothing out of the world for the price. The smoothie was alright but it's all frozen products just jammed into a blender. Not so fresh. Wasn't too crazy about the smoothie I didn't even finish it. As we were about to pay it seemed like she added extra cheese but added as they didn't have an option for the eggplant and cheese , looked like she wasn't too familiar with the menu and told me that was her way of charging it but that it adds up the same. The only thing I liked was the concept of the sweet potato , it had no skin and it was like in a flat form with cheese melted on the top. It kind of looked like a Cuban personal pizza. We've been coming to this place Handful of times over the last few months and unfortunately we've had a terrible experience in terms of service. Although the food is somewhat okay but the wait time is absolutely ridiculous since most of the times we come they barely have more than handful of customers. Today there were only three table out of 15+ occupied yet we had to wait for over 25 minutes for a simple plate. I ordered a fruit salad that comes with coconut yogurt for pick up. I had to wait 40 minutes for it to be ready, I go pick it up and when I get to my place of work to eat my meal, they had placed a cup with cream cheese in there, not yogurt, I had to go back, asked for a refund, because the fruit salad was ridiculously small and i could eat it with cream cheese, they didn't even apologize for doing such a poor job. They just refunded the money. And I had to go until the end of my work shift without eating because these people place no care what so ever in what they do nor how they do it and don't care on how this affects the people they are serving .No remorse over the fact that they gave cream cheese to someone that can't consume lactose, it makes me question their food handling practices if they can't even place care in telling the difference between coconut yogurt and cream cheese. read more

I live close by and am at Carrot Express all the time. So needless to say I do enjoy their food. I have had the Kale Cesar salad with chicken which is always great, but my favorite by far is the legal wrap (brow rice, beans, pico, mozz cheese, chicken, and chipotle sauce). Their portions are VERY generous and I usually can save and eat the second half of my wrap for my next meal which is great! Their service is a hit or miss depending on who is working, I definitely never get a warm welcome or greeting when walking through the door and occasionally get an eye roll when asking for an extra sauce. But the delicious healthy food will keep me coming back! P.S. when ordering online make sure that you let them know when you arrive since online orders sit behind the counter they will not call out your name when it is ready to go, and you may end up sitting around longer than you have to. read more
