The day we chose to dine in the A/C was broken and it was very hot inside this restaurant. They had the front door open but with the small space and the heat of the kitchen it made it for a sweaty lunch. We ordered beer to try and cool down. The food was delicious and made quickly. I rolled my eyes because my food was good but when I tasted his - it wasssss actually REALLY REALLY SALTY. So if I had his plate I'd probably be upset. Everything about this place is amazing My friend loved it so much that she took me for lunch and though I don't love fast, casual places, this one really nails, every single thing from the menu options, to the authentic Greek menu, to the quick and easy ordering system and the polite service. I've been going to this place for years and have always had a great experience until today. Besides the point that I had to take my own order and wasn't even greeted and had to run my own food. I waited over 15 mins for a cold gyro. There was absolutely no onions or tomatoes in side. When I went to return my gyro I was told it was cold because of the tzatziki. Which is absolutely absurd. The lady taking the order didn't know what they were selling and was in a rush and kept rudely asking what else, even though the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. The food here is spectacular; but two times in a row the cashier got my order wrong and the corrective actions were really not customer service oriented. The first time, I brought two great friends after I told them about how much I loved this place and how good the food was...then my order was missing the veggies I asked for. When I asked the cashier, she stated she'd have to charge me for the missing veggies. Ok fine. Today, I go and we ordered two gyros and an order of fries. In fact, at the counter we discussed how good the fries were with Joseffa; and unfortunately, fries didn't make it on to the order. When I asked about it. She said, do you still want them? To which I replied yes. I'm thinking, "well, they messed up but here comes the fries"...after waiting over ten minutes, I asked "fries?" To which she replied "Oh you have to pay for those." Gyro noun gy'ro | \'yē-,ro /YEE-roh/ Spit roasted Lamb/beef deliciousness. The gyro has been one of my favorites since I was introduced to it as a kid at the Greek Orthodox Church Festival. I smelled and saw something that I'd never had before. I asked for one of those Guy-rows and my father said to the elderly lady "I wouldn't sell him anything until he learned how to pronounce it." That began my love affair with this Mediterranean/Middle Eastern Creation. Gyro Love has taken the classic gyro to a new level. They have traditional Lamb and because this is South Florida (or maybe it's just rebelling against the Moores) they also have Pork and Spicy Pork. And the one that just maybe my favorite is the Halloumi Gyro. The Lamb is traditional as a gyro can be. It is very good, probably the best I've had outside of that Greek Orthodox Festival. It has all the flavor you would expect from a gyro that's not made in a mall's food court. The Pork is very good with traditional flavors but it also has that Je ne sais quoi that makes you say what's that I'm tasting at first bite but quickly shrug your shoulders and continue to dive in because whatever's in there is so damn tasty! The Spicy Pork is something special. It takes the humble swine to new heights. It's spicy but not so much that the flavor of the pork gets lost. If I were smarter I could put how great the Spicy Pork is into words. It's something you'll have to try for yourself. The Halloumi Cheese is the best of the best! Here's a little tip add about 2oz of Spicy Pork Gyro Meat to the Halloumi Gyro.....you'll thank me later; you might need a cigarette for after! I tease my little sister and my Colombian Amiga all the time for their love of cheese. But this gyro makes me understand why they get so.........when they eat it! The cheese is grilled; not like Saganaki but it is grilled. You can also get your gyro (with the exception of the halloumi I believe) on a platter. They will add extra gyro meat by the ounce, if you would like. Salads and baklava are also on the menu. But because I am Gordo enough and I have yet to try the baklava. I'm sure at some point the spirit will hit me and I'll dive into the salad. I've had quite a few gyros in this town now and this is hands down my favorite. The pita is so soft and delicious I wanted to wrap myself in it. I ordered the chicken pita which normally comes with honey mustard but I subbed tzatziki and it was perfection. Bonus for the fries already in the pita. They were so good I immediately regretted not ordering a side. And by side I mean any of the loaded fry options. There was a sign saying they make them as they're ordered so they can take awhile. SOOOOOO disappointed to have to write this review :( This is the first time I've had Love 'n Gyros since the pandemic & could not wait to order from them now that we are back in the office part-time. Unfortunately, at least for the Vegan Pita, the quality is just not the same. The plant protein they are using now is mushy & overly seasoned (it tastes like a frita!) & the tomato was also mushy & not very fresh, All in all everything (including the fries inside pita) was limp & lackluster... REALLY hope they go back to their original recipe soon. I literally used to order at least 3-4 times a month! Tiny little spot in Wynwood. I have been seeing their ads on instagram and have been craving them ever since. They offer chicken, lamb, pork (boooo), and veggie gyro. The lamb gyro was really good. I like to eat my fries after each bite so I was taking the fries out of my wrap to eat them separately. When I came it was around 1PM and there was a lot of people! I was with 2 others and our wait was almost 25 minutes from the time we ordered to the time our food came out. I also got the sour cherry drink that was displayed with the rest of the drinks up front. Ooooweee that thing was way too sweet! It was not carbonated and was super super sweet... way too sweet. Did I say it was sweet? I wish the employee relayed that to me after I asked him about it. The establishment was very clean (you have to ask for the restroom key. ) They also have outdoor seating. I think it's way too close to the road though... so I sat my happy behind right inside.
