The food here is mostly pretty good. My issue with this place is that I will order from them fairly frequently on Postmates and I'd say over 50% of the time, I'm completely missing something from my order. Today, it was the chicken salad that was supposed to go with my avocado toast. (Not the first time it's been that particular item missing) It's a HUGE issue when ordering from them, to the point where I barely order from them anymore because of it. I'll place an order once in a while in the hope they've gotten better at it, but no, they just completely miss items. It even happened once when I made the to go order in person (which was on me for not double checking it before I left.) If you get your whole order, this place is great... While Carrot Express may seem like a small grab and go spot on the outside, it's actually a quick and clean spot full of very fresh and flavorful healthy food options. I stopped by and ordered the Poke Wrap with a green juice and a slice of carrot cake for dessert. Honestly, I'm not sure where to start with this review as everything was fantastic. The poke wrap was a lot larger than expected (a good bang for your buck). The tuna inside was very fresh and the combination of the tuna, avocado, quinoa and veggies was fabulous. It's also a very light option, despite the size. This carrot cake is amazing. You absolutely have to try a slice. The cake itself is moist and it has the perfect icing to cake ratio. Just what nyc had been missing for so long. A fast casual healthy takeout spot. Obviously being that this is a Miami chain, you really got that feel inside too. The decor and vibe of the restaurant made you feel like you were there while actually being tucked away in the heart of flatiron. Upon arriving, I had a hard time deciding what to order since everything sounded so good. I settled on the liv wrap (gluten free wrap) and boy was I glad I got it. Came out so hot and fresh and absolutely delicious! To drink, I got the b 52 juice - truly hit the spot and was just what I needed on a hot day. Their desserts also are so great - we got the pumpkin zucchini muffin and carrot cake - solid 10/10s. So excited to come back and essentially order everything else out on the menu! Went here with my sister and was very impressed by it! I walked in not knowing what to expect as she picked the place and it was fresh, healthy, and felt like good clean eats! I got the vegan bowl and it was super good with good potion sizes too! I had some leftover for a little bit of lunch for the next day! Nice place! Their menu is diversified, everything I've had there has been good. Their 'Huevos Rancheros Burrito' in particular is now something I have cravings for. Only reason I don't go more often is because they can take absolute ages to prepare the food and the ambient noise in there is pretty loud. read more

To be honest, when I saw the storefront in development, I thought it was going to be another vegan chain -- nothing wrong with vegan food but there are already two other places within 50 feet of each other on 23rd Street. The menu here is very diverse to fit a lot of different diet preferences, including both veggie and non-veggie options. I got the turkey burger with green goddess salad and loved it. Even the bun on the burger was delicious but felt healthy. Both the burger and the salad were loaded with avocado and the portions were generous. I also had one of the green smoothies (with pineapple) and it was great. It's a bit pricey ($18 for burger + side), but honestly other chains cost about the same at this point. read more

I wish I could say I tried the food,however after waiting 20 minutes after the ready time of my pick up order and being told that my order wasn't ready, I was informed that it was never fulfilled as they had ran out of salmon. Ordered a salad and a bowl and both were uninspired and Ingredients were of mediocre quality. Tried to order a muffin that was displayed in case and was told that they were "rock hard and only display." Disgusting. Just remove the display then. $42 of low quality food. The demographic here are rich snobby yt girls who aren't from New York, but the workers are super sweet so shout out to them. I love this place SO much but omg service is SLOW. Every week I walk in, one or 2 customers at the end of the day.. yet nobody takes my order. I wait 10 min watching employees cleaning or packing bags. It literally takes 10-12 min before anyone says "can I take your order?" With NO like. I'm not sure if understaffed- but I end up leaving 1/2 the time I go bc nobody acknowledges that I am standing there waiting to order. If the service would improve I'd be there all the time bc the food is a 10! Hire more employees! read more

I have been coming here since the day they opened. The food was good but it's become so expensive and the service is a complete disaster. When the manager is not there it is even worse. The staff are rude and talking on their phones or with their friends who come visit. It is run for Uber eats and Grubhub but even the delivery guys are stuck waiting for food.
