    Roasted Teriyaki Salmon Salad
    Ellen C.

I ordered the roasted teriyaki chicken salad from DoorDash and wowww it was so yummy. I was thinking about it for the next hour after I ate it. It's a big portion and came with a huge piece of salmon. I will definitely order this more. The only thing to note is with DoorDash they are a bit slow preparing the orders.

We were frantically looking for a breakfast place that had a seating area and didn't have a queue and we found just that! Nice and quite spacious place right in the heart of New York. There is something for everyone - pastries, cooked breakfast, fruits! Coffee and green tea tasted nice too.Not too expensive - just what you need when you look for a quick yet filling breakfast!

Got the seared tuna salad with olives and it was delicious! Great spot for fresh salads and sandwiches for a corporate day lunch

We walked into Mangia for a quick lunch. They have multiple counters for pizza, sandwiches, hot dishes, salads and an open buffet, sold by per lbs price. I tried the buffet item, pretty took little of all the things they had like pasta, chicken, salmon, beef, shrimp. The price of the per lbs was decent. But the food was sooo unappetizing. Everything was cold. Only the pasta was sort of warm and best tasting. I am sure why they put hot dishes like beef, salmon, chicken on ice. Never going to try that again. We also sat down in the store to finish our lunch. The main center table is right in front of the entrance door. As any person who walks in, we were greeted with bone chilling NYC wind. Very uncomfortable dining experience.

Mangia is popular with both office goers and neighborhood residents. Offering a salad bar with a variety of cold composed salads of chicken, salmon and assorted vegetables this is what I often choose. Some hot foods like turkey meatballs, chicken and pasta are also worth adding to a plate of salad. A salad bar where bowls are prepared is also there plus pizza and hot entrees. Naturally the dessert counter with tempting cakes, tarts and cookies are also my favorites. Salomon was the smiling person at the dessert counter and we discussed the various delicious looking treats. This Mangia is on 23rd Street and has a profusion of pretty flowers decorating the entrance. Outdoor seating along with plenty of tables and communal long tables ensure seats are always available. Did I mention that there is also a juice bar for made to order concoctions. I have been going to Mangia for decades and knew all the locations around the City. Now I frequent this one and the one on Madison Avenue. I always leave happy as my salad today with both chicken and a meatball was very reasonably priced. Everyone is kind here and it's a pleasure to come here.

We adjust left the taping of a daytime talk show, comma and it was 95゚ outside. So we made it to 23rd street after after a slow walk, and Mangia was an air conditioned oasis with plenty of seats. The manager was so nice we decided to stay. They had a signature menu of sandwiches but they also had a make your own option. They had a basic cafe menu, reticent of those in Europe and a lot of coffee drinks made with some of Italy's finest espresso. My friend and I enjoyed our sandwiches made on fresh bread/wraps. The staff was really nice, prices were decent and the place was clean, so it was definitely a win. Gratzie!

Long time Mangia customer and lover. Their Flatiron location has been my favorite so far given the moderate space, calm atmosphere, and lovely staff -- shoutout to Sylvia at the salad bar At Mangia you can find anything ranging from pastries and yogurt bowls, to custom pizza and salads. It's the perfect spot due to its freshness and variety! I recommend a salad with the crowd favorite teriyaki salmon

My first time dining at Mangia, and certainly not my last. I ordered a Basil Parmigiano Chicken Salad sandwich, and I ate it at a communal table. The space is very nice, and my sandwich was delivered to me very quickly. My sandwich was tasty, but no means the best that I've ever had. For the gentlemen(straight) reading this review, the place was crawling with hot Women. My bill with a bottle of Poland Spring water $14.64. The value $15.00.

Delicious catering spread especially the pesto salad. The pesto salad is sooo smooth. Pesto sauce galore, but not overly oily. Will definitely come back. The salmon and chicken were both really good and their coffee was on par with La Colombe. I would eat here more often. The price tag is high, but you are definitely paying for quality.

I have only eaten at a couple restaurants this year due to the pandemic, but this place was a treat today. I had lunch and coffee here with my mom. The food tasted fresh (I had eggplant rollatini sandwich), and my cappuccino was nice and creamy. The blonde girl who attended to us was so pleasant and inviting. I'm not sure when I will be back, but I will definitely return. Thank you, Mangia :)

TASTY HEALTY FOOD AT A GREAT PRICE. Imagine that people working for Eataly across the street resigned and went to work for Mangia. Sort of. They can sit about 40 people in here, out of which 20 would be in a long table with REAL GRASS in it. It's very nice for a place that shows that it was designed for lunch and nothing more. One of the things that I liked the most is that they have almost everything here: Steak, fish, chicken, sandwiches, pizza, salad bar, seared tuna in the salad bar, cookies, seared tuna in the salad bar, pasta, seared tuna in the salad bar. That's where they got my attention: Where can you get seared tuna in a salad bar?!? HERE! The price per pound for the salad bar is $13 USD and it includes seared tuna, pasta, chicken salad, steak salad, vegetables, couscous salad and many more options. To be honest the SEARED TUNA was NOT GREAT, it was a bit too watery and not very tasty... But it was probably healthier than the fatty tuna I'm used to. The VEGETABLES were DELICIOUS. I could swear that they picked them that morning. I know because I had a Kale salad and having a TASTY KALE salad is not something one can pull off easily. Something I didn't try but seems like a great add is the JUICE BAR. Although it seems a bit too EXPENSIVE to charge $8.95 for 16 oz. of juice or $9.95 for a fruit smoothie. Those juices must be really good I guess?

    Goodies from the "salad" bar

The biggest complaint I hear from my co-workers about Mangia is that it is too expensive, with its salad bar easily running up a $20+ price tag. All I have to say to that is moderation is key, my greedy friends. Ok, I lied, I have more to say about that. I see these same complainers paying $15+ for ONE type of boring salad at the numerous trendy salad chains that have sprung up everywhere and taken over the lunch scene. Sure, it's easy to get carried away at Mangia. In the middle of the restaurant is a large cold bar full of salads (and not just of the healthy kale/quinoa variety, but things like pesto pasta salads as well), mixed veggies, fresh mozzarella, and a variety of meats. Pro tip: make sure you check out the hot items to the right of the salad bar - every day Mangia offers one type of hot pasta and one protein in addition to the cold bar, and the pasta has always been on point. I usually skip the hot protein item and beeline straight for the spot where I know ahi tuna usually resides, then peruse the salads. When I can keep myself in check and can resist doing a second round and doubling up on portions of everything, I get out of here with a bill totaling roughly ten bucks - not bad given the location and compared to what I'd pay just about everywhere else in this area. Mangia is my go-to work lunch, the spot I gladly fall back on when I am not in the mood to sort through an abundance of other restaurants around. I keep saying that one of these days I'm going to check them out for breakfast or try one of their bakery items, coffees, sandwiches, or personal pizzas, but who knows when that will actually happen. What I do know is that the lunch bar will most likely bring me back next week.

You order at the counter, then move up to the cashier, tell them what your order is and pay for it. The café has a cozy atmosphere with playful alpaca-themed décor that gives it plenty of character without feeling overdone. Even with the constant activity outside in the Theater District, it feels like a nice place to step inside and enjoy a quiet break. The cream puffs were easily the highlight of my visit. I tried the Matcha Cream Puff, which had a crisp, cookie-like shell filled with a generous amount of smooth matcha cream. The matcha flavor was rich and earthy without being overly sweet, making it feel well balanced from the first bite to the last. I also liked that they rotate seasonal flavors, giving me a reason to come back and try something different. The pastry selection extends well beyond the cream puffs, with beautifully prepared cakes, tarts, and colorful macarons on display. Everything looked thoughtfully made, and pairing a pastry with one of their specialty drinks made for a great combination. The matcha latte complemented the desserts well, while options like the lavender latte offer something a little different if you are looking to branch out. The ordering process was quick and efficient, and the staff were friendly throughout my visit. Seating inside is fairly limited because of the café's smaller size, so it can be difficult to find a table during busy hours. Even so, it works just as well as a place to grab a pastry and drink to enjoy while exploring the neighborhood. Overall, Bibble & Sip is a great stop for anyone looking for high-quality pastries in a welcoming setting. The cream puffs, creative drinks, and unique atmosphere make it a place I would happily return to whenever I am near the Theater District.
