I went to the Care Plus emergency room at 8111 West Grand Parkway, on 99 and Mason, in Feb 2026, and was attended by Nurse Nathan Nadarasa, a very apt nurse who is currently going through medical school, and, Doctor Maewal. These two gentlemen made all the difference for me. I was in agonizing pain... I was having a difficult time being still so they could do what they needed to do for me... due to the pain... But these two gentlemen were so kind... So well regulated... They told me to grimace and shout if it helped, they told me they understood, they told me it was OK... They understood I was in serious pain... And I was so grateful, I wanted to say so here. Thank you both Dr. Maewal and Dr to be Nathan Nadarasa!!! read more

Update. After handing the information to my Dr it was strangely suspicious that all my blood work was perfect when in 55 years it's never been perfect because i have a blood disorder!!! If i hadn't handed it to my Dr. i would not have noticed anything. Don't waste your time or money! These good reviews are suspicious considering you get a Starbucks card for a five star review. I Came in for intense abdominal pain that hurt more with eating and drinking. So I'm super dehydrated but all the nearby hospitals are packed. (Kinda know why now) they first ask for a urine sample and asked what is going on, I state I usually get pancreatitis but this isn't it, hurts much worse. I give the urine sample to only see the only other patient in the build has theirs in there too. So who's is who's? Wow. I'm asked what meds I take which is a short list but one is a serious medication that you must look for interactions with only to find out with the summary he didn't even put them down, moreover he got my allergies all mixed up. The dr comes in pokes around and says oh that's the gallbladder and orders a ct scan. I assume they need to pay for that equipment because later I find out a ct scan can't see the gallbladder. With a side of serious pain and nausea meds. I literally just told them I don't and can't have strong meds the make me worse. Of course i didn't know the nurse didn't get anything right. Dr comes back a few hours later to say you are all fine nothing wrong with you, you can go. I ask so the gallbladder is fine to which he says he didn't check that. Then with the summary I noticed they didn't check for much. I'm including a shot of the drugs they have me there for one because I assume that's protocol for everyone here take these drugs while we do nothing but charge your insurance for equipment you don't need used on you today. If he suspected the gallbladder why wouldn't he check?? Now I leave with an extra bill and nothing to show my dr. I'm not giving them crap I wish I could stop my insurance from paying. Back in July, my husband and I came in for A COVID TEST!!!! and they charged almost 5k!!! We asked multiple times for the price and what would we pay out of pocket and they never gave us an answer.. they had us called some random number to inquire about the total and when we did it was the number for a Michoacana.. WHAT? We called them back and they would still not tell us the total. Now that I look up the claim for our insurance I see they charged $4,502.37 EACH. Again.. for a COVID test. This place is awful. My husband went there for shortness of breath and his O2 levels were low. They provided appropriate care [oxygen, breathing treatment, chest xray] but we were there at least 4 hours before the dr came in to see him, and it was only because I asked a second time. The hospital was not busy at all and there was no reason he could not have come in sooner. When he did came in he told him that it was time he start using oxygen at home!!! Like this was a chronic condition!! We asked him to elaborate and he didn't. Just said, yes he should be on O2 at home. One of the day nurses even mentioned fluid around his heart with no documentation to show us. Total craziness. I wanted to leave at that point but because his O2 was low, I was concerned to leave their care (as poor as it was , it was something). There were 3 nurses that were very kind, but they are getting horrible experience. They kept my husband overnight and diagnosed him with pneumonia. The ceiling in the room was extremely dusty (great for someone experiencing respiratory issues), the monitors and equipment was ancient, the television did not work. All three of these issues were addressed and just blown off. I can understand the tv not being too concerning, but it was another thing to add to the list. The alarms were going off all night because they were not attached to the leads correctly or just so out of date that they are no longer working correctly. I went here last night and several times before for myself and family members, and always received the best care. They are so nice, knowledgeable and treat you like a person. I hate hospitals that treat you like a medical chart and speak "doctor" to you lol. At Carrus they talk to you, help you understand what's wrong, and are gentle with all treatments. They will even joke with you to make you feel better. I'd rather go here over any pcp or hospital any day. I got lucky they are down the street from me, but I would travel an hour to see them if I had to. I will continue to go there and send all of my loved ones there. I wish I could remember all of the names of the staff I have met over the 4-5 times we have gone. They have been wonderful to my family. read more

I will say everyone seemed friendly.....at first. My boyfriend brought me in for food poisoning and then went back home to sleep because he had work the next day. After he left was when things got weird. Everyone suddenly became extremely rude as if I was inconveniencing them by being there. The worst part is that I would tell them about symptoms or ask a question and they would shamelessly IGNORE ME!!!! Specifically one nurse who kept saying "I'm the nurse. I'm not a doctor." And then close the door and walk out as I was still speaking. I know he could hear me speaking because the awful attitude he was having. Ended up leaving AMA. Won't be back. If you have another option, go there instead. A longer drive for better care would've been so worth it. read more

STAY AWAY the doctor is a father and the "clinic" is just a fancy Pyramid scheme so he can LEGALLY get out of financial responsibility for his children and his wife. All because he is doing the bare minimum legally speaking and TX, The Insurance companies and even the federal gov are ok with it as long as you know your legal rights. Which of course I had to ask the receptionist about the differences in the wording and she just gave me nasty attitude the whole time. He has a male son, nurse, daughter as the receptionist, and wife as the nurse. So they saw me right away, I was telling them what was wrong then the nurse gets mad at me for not understanding what she said "ok so tell me what number you feel today? Give me number 1-10" I said idk what you mean by that are you talking about emotionally, physically, or what I don't understand? Then the doctor comes in and he is talking over me, finishing my sentences for me I EVEN TOOK the time out of my day to describe exactly what was going on and this man had the audacity to tell me hurry up and summarize what it said. Then I asked what type of doctor does that and the nurse created a bunch of excuses for him. Saying they were really busy as if I was too stupid to realize there is only one way in one way out that the patients have access too. As if I didn't know how shadows worked and I couldn't tell when people would walk by nor could I tell who they were. She then decided to be petty and realize that I was being too analytical for her liking and she put on her best mask of pretending to care by asking me so what do you do as job I told her and she gave me the most condescending smile hidden behind her mask as if I couldn't tell. She literally laughed at my response when I told her what I did as if it was a joke to her. Nor did that have anything to do with anything that was ever mentioned in the room. Then when I went to go pee I could hear talking really quiet like then shushed laughter but it was in Urdu as if I didn't know another language then the MOMENT I open the door... silence to where you could sense the tension in the air and the "nurses were doing their work" and it wasn't until I slid the door closed to my room did they proceed to talk about me as if I couldn't tell. This family is vindictive and downright evil. The doctor deleted my pictures about this place and how evil it is. Watch I bet you anything he is going to retaliate against me. For making the mistake of needing emergency services. So in essence he is running a barely legal insurance fraud pyramid so he can keep more of his money at the expense of the patients. From the way they all acted I don't even need to hear what they have to say about me. Since their actions, and by they I mean the Nurse aka the mom, the daughter aka the receptionist, the father aka the doctor. I know it is a family business because I overheard the male nurse call the receptionist hey sis I'm going to clock out and she gave me this deer in the headlights look when she knew I had heard the convo as I was filling out the paperwork. read more

It wasn't too long ago when I walked through the doors of Carrus care emergency room short of breath. I was expecting a wait as that of any ER due to the unpredictable medical emergencies. But as soon as I arrived the registration representative brittney took all my information and entered me into the system. Care was initiated the minute I walked in. I was seen by perhaps the most exceptional care team with Sairoz, Emily and Thomas as my nurses. Mighthily with radiology was awesome. Dr. Narula was nothing short of amazing. He is the best! I ended up staying overnight. Got up the next day opposite from how I felt the day before. It's convenient to have an ER thats open 24/7 in our neighborhood. I am beyond grateful. read more

My husband and I have had two terrible experiences here. Both times we had a fast-talking, non-listening older doctor (w/ a heavy, heavy accent that made him even harder to understand) who was highly disrespectful. I don't think he even made eye contact once. This place only receives the business it does because other freestanding ERs have closed, and it has a prime location. I've started seeing some honest posts about them on our neighborhood Facebook pages. (Note: Carrus practically begs you to do Google reviews. I have overheard their memorized speech as we filled out paperwork and waited.) Husband: seen in March 2021. He had kidney stones. This doctor came in, read off his medication history. Hubby did have a prescription (15-count Tylenol-3s) from an out-of-town hospital 18 months prior. This is because we were on vacation when that bout of kidney stones occurred. Hubby had also been prescribed a diet med 12 months prior (but it made him shaky, so he never refilled it). This horrible doctor said it was "suspicious" that he used two different pharmacies for controlled substances. He said he would only "help him w/ pain...once the CT scan proved he was being honest about the kidney stones." He was - after being scanned, waiting on the radiology report, and finally seeing Dr. Fast-Talker, it turns out the scan showed numerous large stones, and he ended up having to have surgery a few days later. (I understand they have to be careful about what they prescribe, but the disrespect, particularly when he was in agony, was outrageous.) Myself: My family brought me to Carrus May 2021. We thought for sure my husband's appointment must have been a fluke - and we didn't know if we had time to make it to another ER. We had the SAME doctor! He listed my history of meds (three different small qty pain med prescriptions over the past three years for post-surgical pain). One was filled in the med center on our way home, one at our usual CVS pharmacy, and one at Kroger (because it was very cheap using GoodRx). These were from three different surgeons, since they were completely unrelated ailments. I had no idea this put me on the Carrus sh*t list. This fast-talking man came in like a whirlwind, told me (using air quotes) that it was "highly suspicious" that I'm allergic to Advil. What?? Anyway, they got their precious $$$ CT scan $$$ and noted I did have a large tumor causing the discomfort. I declined their prescriptions, etc. and had them give me the disc so I could go to a real doctor to discuss my treatment options. The front desk woman is very nice. The female office manager acts nervous around these terrible men that run the ER. The nurses are so-so, albeit fairly apologetic both times. I feel for them & their working environment - that can't be easy. Note: I have a neighbor who removed her Carrus reviews (of this same doctor!) after the office manager reached out to her and wanted to feud. She mentioned the reply to the review had too much embarrassing info & was unprofessional. That was about a year ago, but I do not believe they've changed any of their doctors (who are all partners in the ownership, we believe). Said neighbor was scared (because the doctor is quite aggressive & easily angered), so she deleted her post and instead shares her humiliating experience w/ people verbally. I'll wait for my phone call - I look forward to discussing this doctor with them. (When I told my primary care doctor at Methodist about these experiences, he said he hears stories about these doctors - at least two older gentlemen- all the time. There is a younger doctor who seems to be a genuinely good doctor and person. read more

I've always had great care here until today when I called to ask about my need for a COVID test for my upcoming heart surgery that my doctor asked me to get. Whoever was answering the phone today was incredibly rude. She acted like my need for my COVID test wasn't a real issue and had an attitude like I was bothering her with nonsense. I called to ask her which COVID test would be best to get my results by a certain time and date and she told me to find out what your doctor needs.....lady I just told what he needed that's why I'm asking you which test will get me the results by that time. Very unhelpful and rude. I've come here many times and have never been treated this way but now I want nothing to do with this Urgent Care. The phone call was at 12:20pm today. read more

The nurses are very rude and talk about patients as if they can't be heard, they let me sit in pain until they got my results then it was understood why I was in pain. My issue was mostly the rudeness of nurses gossiping about patients. I could hear them while in my room and they were at the front desk. I will not be returning to this location read more

I had some stomach pains for the past couple weeks and decided visit Carrus Care. As soon as I walked in I was given standard paperwork to fill out with my general information. Not even 5 mins later I was called by Sheela, the RN, to take me back to the room, 10 mins after that Dr. Ahraha came in, I STILL had not yet even finished my paperwork, this is how fast and attentive they were. After explaining to Dr. Ahraha my issues and concerns he went above and beyond to ensure he is going to find out what exactly I was experencing. I had several tests done, including a CT scan, which I had never done before and was a bit nervous, Joe, the Rad. Tech, was very sympathetic and concerned with my comfort during the testing and made me feel super comfortable. Once all the testing was completed, they bought me lunch while waiting on my results!! Once the results were completed Dr. Ahraha and Sheela thoroughly explained all my issues and gave me a paper copy of the results and a CD for my CT scan Joe did- if you have ever been to an Urgent Care or ER you know this is unheard of! Honestly I could go on for days about how perfect the customer service was. I will forever recommend everyone to the Carrus Emergency Room to get treated and come out feeling 100 times better than when first walking in! Thank you so much Riki for recommending me to go in and get checked out! I have never been treated so well, it was truly the best customer service experience of my lifetime!!! read more

Would recommend this ER. The experience I had was negative with an incompetent doctor, however, after talking with the administration with this facility he apologized and agreed to make it right. He call on a weekend which further impressed me. Hopefully all will be resolved. read more
