The best customer service I've ever dealt with In the auto repair business. Every step of the repair process I was called and given an update. I cannot say how professional this shop is. My car was repaired beyond my satisfaction, and in an extremely timely fashion. When I picked up the car it had been thoroughly detailed. They handled all the correspondence with the insurance company of the man who hit me, I took my car in, they repaired it and I picked it up. My family has been a loyal customer of Steve's CARSTAR for years because their work is always excellent -- but what they did for me last week went far beyond car repair. I realized I had accidentally left my passport in my car the day before an international trip -- on a Saturday, when the shop was closed for the weekend. By that time I was already in Houston with a boarding deadline the next day. The owner, Heath, saw my urgent email while out of town and arranged for Mike to retrieve the passport and meet my family at 10:30 p.m. so they could get it to me in time. I have no idea how this place is considered MOPAR Certified. I brought my 2018 Ram in for damage to my driver side door, and their estimator wanted to fix it the cheap way...using heat. FCA (Fiat Chrysler) states that heat is NOT to be used to repair their body panels. Google it. I sure did. I knew this guy was a hack when he says "I've been in the business 30 years...blah blah blah" and just wanted me to trust his cheap methods. And this is was an insurance claim, so its not like he was trying to save me money. Carstar and the insurance companies are in each other pockets, and the person who gets screwed is Joe Consumer. There are other body shops around, I'd shop elsewhere. I had work done there in the past, and other than it taking much longer than proposed it was fine. At least I guess it was fine, maybe they cheated me there too. read more

I was assigned this car repair shop from the insurance company of the person who hit my SUV. Unfortunately when it was time for me to set this up, they had a lot of appointments already due to the recent weather so it took some time to get me in. Upon arrival, the lady checking my car in wasn't over the top friendly like you usually expect when arriving somewhere. We did the necessary paperwork and walked out to the car to inspect it. I asked her if it was possible to have them price something else I noticed on my SUV; she immediately tells me all she can say is that it would be pricey. I said that's fine but I would like to know and I might as well if they are working on it. Never got an answer after that. Once I left in my rental, I realized I forgot something. Went back to get it, asked her to unlock my SUV and she told me it was never locked. Good thing I took the valuables out beforehand. The car repair only took a few days. I had been told I'd get a progress update via text or email and never did. I got a call from a service guy informing me it was ready and I had to pick it up as soon as possible. Upon arrival to pick it up, the same lady asked me if I got my updates while it was being worked on, I said no and she looked surprised. I asked about the extra price I wanted to know about, she said based off our conversation when I left, she assumed I didn't want it anymore. She did make sure to tell me I would get a follow up email survey to fill about about the repair and customer service. While the repair itself was fine, no complaints as of now, customer service is top in my book and I just didn't receive that from this place like I have others in the past. read more

Very unprofessional. U go in as a walk in and they tell you that they cant see you without an appointment. .
