I have waited about 3 months to post my review of the services I received from Central Auto Body. My car was handed over 3/24 I was told that my car would be completed in about 2 weeks but ultimately received it back on 4/24. During this time, I was calling the office multiple times across the weeks asking for an update due to the promised finished timelines from the staff. Almost every time it kept getting pushed back, one moment it was at this percentage complete another was that the work hasn't even been started yet. I wouldn't have had an issue with the duration if they were realistic about the timeline. I was optimistic at first that it would be finished in the 2-weeks as my rental reimbursement funds from my insurance company would be enough for two weeks. Time kept ticking and I got concerned that I would have to come out of pocket for an extended rental. Fast forward, after an additional 2 weeks I can pick up my car, I get back home and I see scratches on parts of the vehicles that weren't apart of the hail damage. (Almost as if it was dragged on the ground :) ) The seal on one of my head lights were smashed under the lamp. My car had to go back for repair for an additional two days and even still where they made the repair the paint is still missing. Since then, I've found other odd things like the plastic backend of the roof lip is not as secure as the other side and weird marks on my roof rails. I don't have the energy to bring my car back and not knowing when I would get it back. On the many trips to the office, I ran into other individuals who were also bringing their cars back for repairs after they were originally fixed. Some of them on their 3rd or 4th round. The pictures they gave of my car pre PDR did not show the preexisting damage. Pros: They did offer a 10% discount for the total cost of my service. They offered me a ride back home after every time I had to drop my car off. This is a plus for sure and shows good customer service. The staff appeared nice, but I felt gaslighted when I reported the additional problems that weren't there previously. Cons: It took too long in my opinion, and I did not like that the date kept getting moved. The 10% I saved went towards car transportation expenses. I did not like that my car had additional issues that were not present when I dropped it off. Would I recommend them, no. Will I go back, no. I don't know if they will treat my car well and I didn't like the staff member with the blonde short cut, he gaslit me about these scratches telling me these marks were from a soft, bristled brush. My car was not perfect, but it is not in the same state it was before it was dissembled. Lastly, my husband also got his car repaired here for hail damages and he also has a loose panel on the left back end of his camaro that is NOT secure, but the right side is fine. Mind you these are pieces that did not have any hail damage work done to them. I've attached two videos of both of our cars with the same goofy attachment issue. During our many times at the office we separately ran into different customers who've had to take their car back multiple times btw. 2 stars since the hail damage is repaired. read more

Brought my car in to get a quote for repair, I was given a quote for $2421, after getting additional quotes, I decided to go with Central since their quote was not the highest or lowest. My scheduled appt was for 9/29/2025, I dropped my car off on Saturday 9/27. On10/1 I received a text stating the quote was incorrect, and the cost would be $3140.83. How is it possibly that the quote be so far off, 31% to be exact. I asked to speak to the team member who originally did the quote, but I was told she left. I felt that Central had baited and switch. Their explanation was there was more man hours needed to complete this repair. I told them I would not be using them, and would pick my car up Monday 10/6 at that time I was told there would be a 5hr @ $75 per hr charge to put it back together. Then when I picked it up, I got an additional charge for using a debit card. If anyone is thinking of using them, beware of their hidden charges, and the fact they do not honor their quotes! Well we went there because of the great reviews and they certainly have a lot of there accolades on their walls. We had made an appointment but Joe R who greeted us looked at us weirdly and said they didn't take appointments. I showed him my text confirmation and again he said they didn't take appointments . okay no need to make me feel stupid. Next he took a look at my car and proceeded to give me an estimate which was way more than I was anticipating. Instead of reviewing estimate details with me he said "well you have a dent this big" with out stretched arms:) Needless to say Joe R not sure if that's how you address all your customers but with that interaction we will not be using your services. read more

I've been here a few times now, and the customer service is really as good as it gets. Last time, I had my front bumper re-attached and repaired. This time, I had a side mirror replaced. Because of COVID-19, the shop was able to receive pictures of my damage over text and give me an estimate before coming in. They gave me a very honest and reasonable estimate and I got my car in within days for repair at the estimated price (and it only took about an hour to replace the mirror). They even washed my car! I always feel intimidated when dealing with auto shops. I have never felt that way here. The team here is honest, friendly and respectful. Courteous, helpful, and trustworthy service! I've taken my car here twice and both times I've been incredibly impressed with the repairs and how they treated me during my visit. On the first occasion they were repairing the front of my car and used the extra touch up paint to clean up the back bumper. My second visit I was sure that I'd need to leave my car for a lengthy and expensive repair, but they were able to fix it within an hour for an incredibly reasonable price. As long as I live in St. Louis, I will never go anywhere else for body work! I was upset that I scraped my brand new car on a pole trying to avoid a car that came too close. I feared the worst, and Central helped me feel at ease by telling me exactly what they would do, how much it would cost, etc. They offered my boyfriend and I a beverage as soon as we came in and were very prompt, professional, and kind. They made me feel like a priority. I came back the next weekend after the estimate, and they informed me that buffing it took less time than they thought and that they took that off the price. The left half of my front bumper was torn off yesterday morning. For insurance reasons, I was forced to run around to 3 different places to get estimates. Central was my first stop and they were WONDERFUL! Great customer service. Skip got my estimate put together and even did a temporary (but still very secure) fix for my bumper so that I can drive it around until it is more permanently fixed. All of this was completed in less than 30 minutes! Considering the day I was having, it was a great experience. Also, just in case it matters, I'm a young 20-something female with 0 car knowledge. Took Odyssey here on a Tuesday to have rear bumper and sensors replaced. Told them I was on a tight schedule, driving to VA on Friday. Told me it would be done by Thursday. Thursday I called, they said Friday by 11. Friday 11 came and went. They didn't call. I called at noon. They said it would be ready by 2. Now, their lack of communication isn't the reason I'm giving them one star. That would merit a 3 star review. What drops it down to one star is that when I turned the sensors off and then back on - about 150 miles into my trip - THEY DID NOT TURN BACK ON. dash indicator is giving me a big fat warning/error. I paid more than $1200 to have them replace the rear bumper sensors.... and they don't work after 150 miles and a day of driving. I can't take the car back in because I don't live in MO and was on a schedule. I tried to call to leave a message to have them address the situation, and they don't have voicemail. Will call again on Tuesday, after Labor Day. Am very annoyed. read more

Their quote was comparable to other places but took longer than expected or communicated. I needed a fender replaced which required them to take the door off. When they put it back on, the gasket was all messed up and adhesive was stuck to the frame of the vehicle which further pulled the gasket off the door. The door handle is also loose too now... the fender looks fine now though. read more

We took our car to Central Auto Body based on the recommendation of a friend. The shop provided us with two different options for fixing the car, one significantly less expensive than the other. They indicated that if the first one was not to our satisfaction, we could move to the expensive option. We obtained estimates from two other body shops. Neither offered us more than one, very expensive solution. We chose the less expensive option from Central Auto Body, and we are VERY PLEASED with the results. It really comes down to the little things. Yes, my car looked brand new after paint and part replacement. This was expected. Five Stars for the customer service. Chris went above and beyond in all aspects and expectations.
