After calling a couple shops in the area for quotes and timing, I narrowed it down to either Secureway or Tesla's mobile repair for the mirror with a combo of them or another shop for the paint. Lucero walked me through the process of ordering parts, repairing/repainting the doors, and dealing with insurance. Based on the already great reviews, my experience speaking with Lucero, and the fair estimate they provided, I decided to give them the entire job. They did not disappoint! It took a little while longer than expected because Tesla took a while to ship the parts, but they kept me updated and the car looked good as new afterward. It looked like they washed it, topped up the charging, and had all the protective mats and plastics for the interior to keep it clean. I appreciate the work they did and would highly recommend!

I…read morewas unsure a general glass shop could do it at first but all the staff (Megan, Dimitri, Fernando) gave me a lot of confidence that they were technically competent and would take exceptional care of my car. They were honest and transparent about their capabilities and immediately stated they would bring out the quality manager to assist with the installation given the rarity of the car (manager had done one before). Incredibly, they even had in stock 1 unit of an OEE windshield and assured me with technical justification that the ADAS and HUD would perform perfectly with this non-OE part (thankfully the rarity of the vehicle essentially guaranteed the OEE windshield would be off an OEM production line). The technicians were extremely careful and took their time during the install to avoid breaking any panels during the complex assembly/disassembly, even staying over an hour late after closing to get the job done right. Finally, they even fixed a previously loose side trim piece by fixing a broken clip using superglue - my vehicle came back legitimately in better shape than original! Saved me $1-2k vs. dealer quoted parts & labor, even coming in below quotes from reputable indy shops (who would need to order the glass). I am so grateful I found this team and would trust them to assess/perform absolutely any work on any of my vehicles in the future.

I'll let everyone else laugh at the irony of her statement...you can not take away that which you did not provide. Read the other reviews if you doubt. They cancel appoints seemingly similar to mine. However after telling them about my schedule they sent the technicians and arrived 20-30 minutes of me calling. Once they arrived they went straight to work, said it would be about 45 minutes. I set a timer just so I knew when to come back outside and check the progress. They were finished within 30 minutes! Very quick and efficient when I was watching from afar. The workmanship is top-shelf as Danny knows his stuff and is an artisan of his craft, which requires lots of attention to detail. Between Danny and Gena, they run a beautiful shop in SSF with competitive prices on Llumar tint. I recently had to get some warranty work done on my ID.4 as the back window started "rippling" and distorting after only a couple of years, making rearview mirror images harder to see. Gena was able to get the work approved under warranty (it was an adhesive defect), made an appointment and brought the car in and the work was done in about an hour -- I can see clearly out the back window again. I will continue to go to Grizzly Tint with all my future vehicle acquisitions in the future....the best window tinting service in the Bay!

Had LLumar ceramic film installed on all of my brand-new car's windows in June. I let the film cure for a couple of weeks. Time passes, and on my back left window, I noticed a tiny bubble around what appeared to be lint trapped between the glass and the film. Thinking this would be covered under warranty as an installation flaw, I brought it back to Grizzly. The installer removed the film and located the "defect." It wasn't lint, but rather a deep scratch. The installer then claimed the scratch was already there when I brought the car in, said he "forgot" to tell me about it after the initial install, and claimed it must have come like that from the factory. He told me to take the car back to the dealership to get the glass replaced under warranty--and added that if I didn't get it replaced, / would have to pay them labor costs to reinstall the tint on that window. I brought the car back to the dealership. The master technician inspected it and confirmed the deep scratch was caused by a third party using a razor blade. The installer scratched my brand-new window during prep, didn't own up to his mistake, purposefully hid it from me, and then tried to charge me extra labor when I brought it to his attention. Unbelievable dishonesty. I will never step foot in this shop again.

To further rub salt in the wound, that little crack quickly expanded to over 18 inches right across the driver's view! Needless to say I had to get my entire windshield glass replaced. My insurance company referred me to Auto Glass Now in Colma to get it fixed and replaced. I promptly received a call directly from Auto Glass to make an appointment. Since I wanted OEM glass, they had to special order that would take another day or so. Once the glass came in, I got another call to bring the car in that afternoon which I did. Auto Glass Now in Colma is located on a quiet street close by the Costco in South San Francisco. The place is really small but the folks working there were really friendly and quickly greeted me. Because my car required Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) calibration, the entire process took about two hours, so I quickly grabbed some coffee down the street, did a Trader Joe's run, and came back. Fast turnaround and was really happy with the final results.
