They have a great reputation for good body work. Overall I was quite pleased with the two white fenders . . . they look shiny brand new. For that, they deserve 5 stars. However, there were three other features of my experience that brought the score down: 1) I did not receive any updates while they had my car. They had assured me that I'd be contacted daily, but then I had to initiate the calls myself every day to ask whether there had been any progress. 2) Even though the time estimate was initially for 3 days, note that although no new parts needed to be ordered, I did not receive my car back until the end of the 4th day. I really felt that my little fenders were not given any priority, and I was annoyed that I was left waiting an extra day. If they knew they were too busy, they could have just rescheduled me, it's not as if the damage made the car undriveable! 3) Although it had been carefully washed and vacuumed before it was returned to me, it was almost impossible to see through the smears when the light hit the windows. That's something I'm picky about, but I had already driven away, so I just went home and re-cleaned the windows myself. I will say that the shuttle service was a definite plus. read more

Not many folks I would trust to be doing that work, but they did a fantastic job and followed up on some interior work we hadn't originally known was damaged in the accident. The driver's side door and fender got messed up on our Jeep and we needed it fixed ASAP! The jeep was also having some issues with fluids leaking that needed to be taken care of as well. After some looking around we decided to check out Robert's because they did both auto body and mechanical work and are close to us. Matt helped us out with the body damage quote and asked one of their mechanics a question to help him with the quote. Almost immediately the mechanic spotted the issue with the water pump and this was before I even had a chance to tell them about the mechanical issues. The repairs took about a week and a half which was right in line with how long they said it would take. They also got me a good price on a rental car! I had the work done in Sept and wanted to wait a few months before posting this review to make sure the work held out as I've had issues in the past with other shops. I brought my car In for repair on 12/4/19. When I dropped off the vehicle they had me signed up to receive updates as of how my vehicle was progressing. I never got an update, neither by text of a phone call from Matt, the person taking care of my case. Every time I called and asked he wouldn't be the most helpful and never gave me the right information. He told me 4 different dates as of when my car would be done, and every time he would push it back saying something different. I then spoke to the manager, thinking things would change, but nothing really. She told me the vehicle would be ready next day by the end of the day, yet she called me the following day saying it was not going to be ready and pushed it back another day, and with the possibility of even more days. I went to a Roberts because a friend recommended it, but never thought I would have such a bad experience with them. I will not go back again, and I will make sure I take my vehicle somewhere else to make sure they did everything they were supposed to. I'm sorry to say that I cannot trust their work after how they handle my case. read more

I was in a car accident, and was so worried about my car. It was smashed on the driver's side and it needed major repairs and paint. I live in Salinas and, My insurance recommended Robert's. AAA towed my car from Salinas to Monterey. At first I was a bit hesitant because we usually take our cars to a different Repair shop in Salinas, but our Insurance HIGHLY recommended Robert's to us. I had nothing to worry about because the Robert's Staff was so friendly and called often to up date me on the status of my car and answered any questions I may have had. I have a Mercedes Benz E-350 and it has a special silver paint job. The Robert's staff was able to match it exactly and my car was beautiful again! Our experience at Robert's Auto Repair was excellent! My Tahoe was rear ended and USAA recommend this shop for us to have our repairs completed. There are insurance representatives at the shop that are friendly and knowledgeable and the USAA rep kept me informed frequently about the status of my repairs after I took the SUV in. They estimated a week for the repair but were actually finished in 3 days! So fast! The repair was high quality as well. Enterprise also worked closely with them and I did not even have to go to Enterprise when I needed to get the rental...it was all taken care of in house by an Enterprise staff member who had a car ready for me when I dropped the vehicle off for repairs. They even stayed late on Christmas Eve night to make sure I was able to pick up my SUV and inspect the repairs. Such a great experience! A for sure one-stop for all collision needs!! read more

My first visit to Roberts I was suprised and impressed at all they had to offer. Sent by Geico for an estimate, I was greeted by a very nice gal at the front desk. Within a few minutes i was surrounded by a whole crew of folks from the Geico rep to Roberts employees all introducing themselves and busy evaluating my vehicle.it was a no brainer that i was going to have Roberts do the work... it wasn't very long, before i had a run down of everything they found visually, was told i would receive a call later that day on the specifics after the car was inspected underneath, i was led around by George who answered all my questions and had me in my rental before i knew it. Received a call later that day with a rundown on everything Roberts would be repairing on my vehicle. initially i was told it would take a week to complete based on receiving parts and paint to complete the job, which i was fine with. My 2009 Ford Flex was hit in the rear bumper while parked in front of my house. My USAA insurance suggested Robert's Collision & Repair to me. Once they had my vehicle they called to inform me that they found additional damage when they took the bumper off. When I received my vehicle it was very cleaned & vacuumed. It was quite pleasant surprise. I was very impressed with their customer service. Roberts Auto Repair was the best experience I've ever had at a repair shop. After getting rear-ended by an uninsured motorist who fled the scene, my insurance suggested Roberts (though I was free to use any shop I wanted) to replace and paint a new rear bumper. I brought my car in to Roberts on Thursday morning at 8AM and it was done by 10AM the next morning. In addition, they gave me a ride to and from the auto shop and detailed my car both inside and out. The shop itself is a big bay with lots of mechanics running around doing their thing...kind of like a well-oiled machine. The employees were courteous and efficient.
