I brought in my Honda for paintless dent removal and a mirror replacement. They contracted out the dent removal, but scheduled the person to do it at the shop same day as the mirror replacement. Everything was smooth. They were great with communication and everyone was friendly and buttoned up. I don't have a good sense of prices for this type of stuff but it seemed reasonable (roughly $300 for dent removal and $125 mirror labor + $425 for the mirror itself). I checked the mirror price with Honda because it seemed expensive, and Honda quoted me $515 for the same part with no labor, so it turned out to be good deal. Happy first time customer read more

The first person I encountered was Raz one of the managers here at the shop. He was very friendly and explained what my options were in getting the insurance to pay. I did not end up working with Cartek as I found the exact tailgate I needed on my own, at a salvage yard. However, I called them after receiving an estimate from my insurance company regarding my stolen tailgate. My deductible ended up being higher than the replacement cost so I would be paying out of pocket. The woman I spoke to on the phone was extremely helpful, honest, and even empathetic regarding my situation. I had called a different body shop before I called Cartek and had a bad experience with them. I had the insurance estimate in front of me so I knew roughly what replacement would cost, however, when I told them I'd be paying out of pocket because of my high deductible they started inflating the price to try to fill up the deductible amount. I called them out on it and they tried to explain it away. I can understand the price differing or increasing a bit from the insurance estimate but they were trying to more than double it! Only AFTER I told them my deductible amount. I worked at a dealership and know the cost of some of these items. Any way, Cartek did NOT try to pull the wool over my eyes. Vic has owed me about $1,200 since 2015. His front desk assistant offered to handle things with the insurance adjuster on my behalf because they took so long to finish my car. So when my car had finally been finished- almost two weeks behind schedule- no apology, and as it turned out, no effort "on my behalf". I got stuck with a $1200 enterprise bill and she wouldn't return my calls, etc. I finally called Vic out for his BS (if you've met him) and he offered no recourse of action except that he didn't want my business in the future. If you see Vic in his Benz, just know he's a man in debt to many people. And if you have a similar experience, expect similar treatment. Vic's incessant dismissal of anything I had to say assured me he's just trying to figure out how to make more money off me, not give me any back! I finally found the right car body repair shop. I highly recommend Cartek Collision in Eagle Rock because they are fair, fast and produce exceptional work. My 2015 NX200t was damaged from a distracted lane change denting the driver's side fender. It was my fault. I drove around for about 18 months with the damage. A guy offered to fix my fender for $350.00 and I stupidly agreed. He made it worse and damaged the black hard plastic lining the fender. I got several quotes including one from California Z cars in Eagle Rock where I've taken my cars in the past. Ronald said he would try to find a used fender to keep my cost down and did not bother to call me back. I called and found out his quote was over $3,000.00. I got a few more quotes ranging from $2300.00 to $2600.00. I went to Cartek Collision and met with Vic who gave me a reasonable quote and told me he would order the parts with a down payment. My car was dropped off on a Monday and ready in three days! The car was washed, waxed and detailed. It was shiny like new. I paid just under $2,000.00 to top it off. I was very impressed by Vic who prioritized the customer when he realized he made a mistake on his quote costing him about $450.00. I was so happy with the outcome that I offered to pay, but Vic would not accept my offer. What a gesture! I am so pleased with Vic and Cartek Collision. After coming off work, I found that my car had been struck by an inconsiderate person and caused damage to my front bumper, driver's side fender panel and rim as it was parked on Colorado Blvd in Eagle Rock. Luckily, the Pete, owner of Rock Dog and Cat (which is next to where I've been working), offered some help with taking pictures for insurance and a referral to Vic at CarTek Collision. I made my way to CarTek Collision as soon as I could and was greeted by their office manager Carmina who was very welcoming, helpful and professional. I shared with her what happened, who referred me, and that I was interested in getting an estimate. Vic, personally, did the inspection of the damages and indicated what would need to be done. He offered a very fair and reasonable estimate and I ultimately decided to select them to repair damages. Took my car for a simple rim replacement and alignment after a collision against a curve, Mr. Vic ask for $350 in cash for a new rim since they didn't have used ones in the backyard, after a couple of days of waiting I came for my car and they just told me that they replaced the rim for a used one and still will charge $350, I refused the deal since I checked online used rims for $90 dollars!!, the one that was replaced looks fixed and old so Mr VIC offered $320 cash, sadly I needed my car urgent so I have to accept it..., first and last time on this business! read more

Definitely not the first place I would take me car. Initially went in for an estimate, and after 15 minutes of insisting that that was all I felt comfortable doing that's day (because I hadn't decided on a body shop yet) we finally went inside the office for the estimate. I'm a girl, but i know a lot more about cars than most people and the guy I spoke to explained everything to me like I was a child. (I guess that might be a good thing for some people, but I didn't appreciate it. You wouldn't do that to a guy if he drove in a car like mine, I can promise you that.) 30 minutes later I got my estimate, and left. It shouldn't take 45 minutes total for and estimate, imagine if I had my car in the shop and a real problem occurred? Don't know how this body shop gets a 5 star rating. I took my my 2023 Ram 1500 there for repairs, because I was told by the other party's insurance who hit me this was 1 of the repair shops in my area that is an Allstate repair shop. Simple repairs 2 dings in rear quarter panel and damaged rear wheel. After approximately 1 week they said my vehicle was ready and I went to pick it up and after inspecting it the dings were still there and they only buffed the scuffs around the dings. So, they said they would take care of it and another week goes by and I get a call saying vehicle is ready. When I arrived I put on my glasses to thoroughly inspect vehicle again, not trusting their work and notice my wheel was still damaged and they tried to buff it out only and said the damage was a manufacturer's defect. The vehicle was only 8 months old and it clearly stated in quote for repairs wheel damage and when a body shop try's to fix a damaged part on a vehicle they are liable for doing it correctly! Don't believe the reviews this company tries to take too many shortcuts! read more

Incredibly lazy service. I had damage to my rear bumper, tail light, and wheel spat that was covered by my insurance. Since I was bringing the car in anyway I figured I'd get the front bumper replaced since it had been banged up via wear and tear over the past several years. They replaced the back bumper and tail light but left the damaged wheel spat in place. This didn't affect the performance of the car but it just looked bad - and why not replace it if my insurance company was paying them to? They replaced the front bumper and when it came time to reattach the license plate and license plate holder they used screws that were too short. Within weeks the screws had worked themselves out of the bumper and the license plate began falling off. Absurd. In addition, it was a hassle to get information on the status of my car. Rather than calling me and letting me know when the car would be ready to be picked up, they communicated nothing. I had to give them a call every couple days to get an update. The whole experience just left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not go here again. read more

My car had its clear coat fading to the point it looked really bad on the hood and roof of the car. I went to Cartek to get a quote and it was the best quote I got plus Vic added some touch up paint in a few areas for free. I initially wanted only the roof and hood painted but decided to fix the fender and roof lining since the clear coat started fading there too. I called a bit afterwards to make sure they received it, and was glad when a receptionist answered and assured me someone will reply by the end of the day. I spoke with Vic a couple of hours later who gave me a verbal quote, which was very reasonable. I took my car in the next day and was helped right away.
