I contacted Columbia Auto body on 11/20 to fix an unfortunate accident that my classic 65 Mustang was involved in. I was at the end of my rope, pretty traumatized of my beautiful car having been through this and all the other body shops given to me through my insurance ( Statefarm) refused to fix it (even without having seen it!) I contacted Paul at Columbia, he immediately asked me to see photos before making a solid decision (they were the 8th autobody shop I had called). After I sent photos, he put me right at ease and said "we can definitely fix this!" I dropped my car off on the 29th after the holidays, and was contacted on 12/5 that my car was ready! Excellent local body shop, with friendly, prompt communication and thorough service. It only took three days from initial online request for an estimate to completed service, with our car dropped off at our local address as well! This was also after I wasn't available for their first available time slot, so they may have been able to fix it even faster if it weren't for my schedule :) I filled out the short questionnaire built into the Yelp Request for Estimate function, which included the option to attach photos at the end which I quickly snapped. Paul got back to me promptly, with a ballpark estimate and asked for further details to get an exact number. When I accepted, he had the parts ordered, then let me know to drop off when I had a chance, with a 2-hour estimate of getting the work done (we had to replace two splash shields as they were scraping along the ground while we were driving...). We let them know our address in case it was within range for their drop off service. We pulled up to Columbia Auto Body (look for the light blue Smog Check sign), was greeted immediately by Paul by name, and we noted that everyone was wearing masks during this pandemic. Great! We dropped off the car and keys and off we went. Paul gave us a call in 1.5 hours saying the car was ready and that they would be dropping off the car shortly. We paid via the phone (nice that it is contactless), and they handed over the keys and a copy of our receipt with summary of the work. Prompt, easy to work with, and reasonable prices. I'm writing this review a few years too late. Back in summer of 2013, I had a pretty bad accident to my Rav4. The entire front left was damaged and the insides of the car were exposed. I brought it to Columbia Auto Body and had a pretty good experience. The price was expensive and I didn't have insurance, but Paul really talked me through every item he was adding. I got the feeling I could trust him. He helped me figure out ways to lower the cost here and there without compromising the quality of the repair. In the end I was happy with the result. There was an issue of the front left tire rubbing against something when driving at low speeds (I could hear and feel it in short, inconsistent bursts). I brought it back and they looked at it. It was difficult to figure out what it was from based on how inconsistent it was. The issue seemed to resolve it self in a few weeks. This all took place almost 5 years ago before I had a google photos account, so I cannot find any before pictures. However, I did manage to find an after pic. I went here because of all the great reviews, but unfortunately didn't have a great experience or receive the same customer service as others commenting on here. My front bumper is hanging off a bit and not lining up with the headlight, I wanted to get an estimate for repair. The person who greeted me seemed hurried and had no interest in helping me. He looked at it and started pointing to the hood, the bumper, the side tire panel and rattling off numbers, "that's like $200-400, that's $300-500, we'll have to get inside the bumper to see if there's additional damage, that could be a lot more" - to which I understood and said ok no problem do you mind providing me with a written estimate for the repair. "I can but it would cost $250" I've never heard of an estimate costing money, let alone that much. TL;DR They charge a $250 fee for providing a repair estimate. I can't speak to the quality of work, but was turned off by the initial charge. read more

I took my car in for repair after it was hit while parked. Both doors on the drivers side needed to be replaced and they did an amazing job! Paul was great and very helpful. I have had both of our cars worked on in the past two months, one to replace some torn-out splash guards from under the engine and the other to take off a front fender, fix a 3" dent in the fender, mix paint to match a difficult to match factory paint, and reinstall the fender. In both cases the fix was fast, including getting ordered parts to the shop. Our dented car was returned washed and sparkling. Price to fix was reasonable as well as time in shop. Paul is so honest, that he told me the dealer may overlook the damage if we were getting another Jeep. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Columbia Auto Body. A few weeks back I was driving to work and got rear-ended on the freeway in my new Infiniti XC30. Ugh! Originally I was going to take my car into the dealership but I checked the reviews on this shop as it was one of the "preferred" locations through my insurance. I thought it was worth it to give it a shot since it would make the whole insurance experience easier. Paul was SO helpful and responsive. The entire adventure from estimate to pickup was only one week - and that includes having to order new Infiniti parts (TWICE since the originals came in damaged). He also had me come and check that I was happy with everything before I dropped off my rental car so I wouldn't strand myself if I wasn't. It looked perfect. As well, I knew the person who hit me had minimal coverage so I had concerns this would become a battle with the insurance companies, but the estimate came in WELL under what was covered (which was a shock with a new car). If I ever need body work done again, I will head straight to this shop. It's a family-owned business that's been around since 1982 and it's clear why. read more
