Contacted Mai at the Valley Fair location for a possibly last minute appt. She was booked for the day but scheduled me in and told me she would have a colleague assist me at my appt. We drove 2 hours to this location and got there early. Walked round the mall and it was busy! Got in line an hour early, wasn't sure if we had to stand in line or just walk to the front but the line wasn't long so we waited. We knew exactly what we were wanting to look at. Once we were at the front of the line, I told the door guy that we had an appt with Mai. She was however with a client, which I already knew. By the time we got in, she was scheduled off but stayed to assist us. She showed us the Love and Juste Un Clou ring collections and let us try a few sizes to see which was more comfortable for us. She also let my daughter try the love pave with the Juste un clou we were purchasing. Daughter fell in love with the stack but the pave will have to wait. Had a wonderful first time experience with Cartier Valley Fair! I knew exactly what I wanted upon entering the store and was assisted by Phil. Phil was friendly, hospitable and had a very calm nature while assisting me. I was able to try on a few of the love bracelets in different model sizes, my specific size was not available in store but he assured me they could overnight it and would notify me once it arrived. I put down a deposit and came in a few days later, at my earliest availability. Upon pick up, I was presented with my bracelet to try on and was able to try some other bracelets that would pair well as a future bracelet stack. I was mostly interested in the Juste en Clou. Phil was very considerate and gave great recommendations and the history behind the pieces! Gave advice on how to take care of the piece and services to care for it. He was very personal and because this purchase was to celebrate a recent achievement he brought out a glass of champagne, mind you it was 10am but the gesture to toast about the achievement was much appreciated. He even gift wrapped my purchase along with some perfume samples which really was the cherry on top. With every visit I was always offered water, champagne and chocolates, the sales associates within the boutique always greeted me and I felt welcomed. I am an absolute clown because I went through the effort of trying to find parking at the mall to shop at this store. They are disgustingly judgemental based on appearance. When we came in, my gf was wearing a dress and I was in sweats. There were 3 people at the door, besides the door holders. They all just looked up and down at my gf and I and didn't say anything. Not even a smile. Not even a dry hello. They didn't even keep looking at us, they went to talk among themselves. If that isn't profiling, they train your workers better because it sure does feel like it. I don't know if them and the managers here realize this, but this is the Bay Area. It's full of nouveau riche tech workers. They dress like bums and have money to spend. You don't just ignore people because they look like they can't/aren't going to buy something. They weren't even busy the day we came in to visit. When the girl who would later be our sales associate, Nicole, arrived, they directed us to work with her. There was a significant delay and awkward silence waiting for her. Not her fault, she was actually working with another customer unlike the individuals leering at people by the door. And, bless her, if it wasn't for her service, I would not have deign to shop at the Cartier in SF, which gave us a much more positive experience. Her enthusiasm and helpfulness gave me a sliver of hope that maybe there would be another Cartier where people might actually not treat us as invalids. But I would never go back to this store front. I'm not paying a ~700% markup on price of gold to get insulted. If you must buy Cartier, shop at the SF store. We put on the same outfits and the SF store actually treated us like humans. read more

I been eyeing a love ring for some time now and finally got one this past weekend. Waited about 20 mines to get in which was fine because once your in , the SA is all yours. My SA (forgot her name) was very sweet, attentive and patient. I was able to try on many sizes of the ring and even the bracelet as well. She brought out waters and chocolates for us to enjoy however I noticed everyone else drinking champagne whereas I was only offered water and chocolate - not sure if there's a price min you have to meet to get a glass of champagne. Visited this Cartier location on a Sunday afternoon and was surprised to see no line outside, which was a first for me, and so I got excited to enter and browse. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case once we stepped inside, and I was extremely disappointed. There were several associates standing around, but no one approached us. I stood in front of a jewelry case clearly trying to make eye contact, yet every associate I connected with seemed to look right past me. It was disappointing to feel ignored in a store where service and attention should be a given, especially at this level of luxury. If I'm going to consider making a purchase at Cartier, I expect more than watching a group of employees chatting among themselves while customers are left to fend for attention. Treated Like a Thief Instead of a Customer! I came to Cartier on a Thursday afternoon to exchange my bracelet for a different size, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. There was a wait, which I didn't mind at all. While we were waiting for the SA to finish our transaction, my husband and I looked at some pieces in the Love collection since we had time to kill. An SA was nearby, so we weren't unattended. However, an older gentleman from security came over, stood uncomfortably close, and stared at us the entire time. He even rattled the case we were looking at to make sure it was locked -- as if we were about to steal something. Mind you, I was here exchanging a $5,500 bracelet. Yet instead of being treated with respect, I felt racially profiled and unwelcome. When our transaction was complete and we were leaving, the security guard literally followed us out while staring. It was humiliating and made us feel like we didn't belong in the store. The only positive part of this visit was the woman at the front who checked us in -- she was kind and polite. Every other interaction felt cold, rude, and judgmental. For a luxury brand that prides itself on service and prestige, this was an unbelievable experience. Sadly, Cartier showed me that they will judge you for your looks, and I'll never forget how uncomfortable and unwelcome we were made to feel. Honestly, I'd rather purchase online where I know I'll get a smoother and more respectful experience than step foot in this store again.
