I have come in a couple times just to try things on and see what I like and every time, she was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Before I made the final decision to purchase, she gave me her card and told me to make an appointment since it is usually busy on the weekends and I was only free to go in on the weekends. I'm glad I made an appointment since it's holiday season and everyone is looking for gifts for that special someone! The store was pretty packed but Lily sat us down with some sparkling water and chocolates. I had a ton of questions and she answered all of them and I learned so much more about Cartier products! I wish this store was open so I could browse the whole thing-- it's pretty big. You can only be there by appointment & I know most that come already know what they're going to buy. It can feel pretty intimidating if you've never gone jewelry shopping, but I felt very welcomed by the staff. You see all kinds of clientele-- techies, models like me, one guy looked like an athlete, couples, so I wouldn't worry about feeling out of place. I was helped by Amber. She is fun to talk to & very nice. I bought my first Cartier ring with her & hopefully I can come back to add to my love collection soon. She has been in the jewelry business for 5/7 years? She's worked for Tiffany & even a high end jewelry company in Las Vegas. Not sure if it was Cartier or Tiffany, but she should be quite knowledgeable to answer any of your questions. I've been to Cartier in Crystals Las Vegas & I felt this one was bigger (from my memory). Both had exceptional customer service except the ambiance in Crystals reminds me of smaller version of Singapore's Marina Bay Sands or a very high end luxury mall. While Valley Fair, even though this location is in proximity to other high end jewelers and brands, the mall itself is targeted to all ages and income levels. I'd recommend her or Tuan. read more

Have always purchased my Cartier pieces overseas while on vacation but given the pandemic, I made a trip to the local store at Valley Fair. During these times (pandemic) walk-ins are available, but you are secondary to those that have appts, which are allotted for up to an hour per person. I decided to wait, and with a scheduled appt. finishing early, they let me in and I was able to browse for about 20-/+ minutes. The store linked me with a sales associate by the name of Vincent Quach and he answered all my questions and was very insightful. I then later came back to make the purchase with Vincent. I recently had an unfortunate experience at the Cartier store, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. specifically regarding the poor customer service provided by an employee named Osvaldo. Today 1/22/24 I came into the store with hopes of purchasing a classic ring from the love collection for my sister as a Wedding Gift. From the moment I entered the store, Osvaldo attitude was off putting. When I entered into the store, i was asked by the associate at the front door if I needed any assistance. To which I Let It Be Known that I didn't need any assistance. Osvaldo who overheard me say this, took it upon himself to force his assistance upon me. I felt pressure to allow his assistance, due to his forceful nature. As we walked over to the section with love collection Rings, I asked to see size difference in two different rings to compare which size I preferred. Osvaldo met my request with an abrasive tone by stating "excuse me, I don't understand what you're asking me". To which I replied I would like to see the difference in size to see which one I would like best. He then asks me for my finger size, I don't buy rings much and couldn't remember my size. But wanted to give the ring a try anyway, when I explained this to Osvaldo. He gave me side eye and said I would need to know my size first before he could let me try on the ring. Excuse me??? Since when does someone need to know their exact measurements in order to fit a ring. That's the point of going into try on the ring to see what size would fit best. If a customer doesn't know their size, you as the employee should offer to check if it's an issue. I explained again to Osvaldo I was getting this ring for my sister and don't exactly know her measurements. But that I thought she might be size up from whatever my finger size would be. He again gives me side eye and begrudgingly hands over the ring to try on. His attitude was so off putting I decided not to purchase the ring; and instead left the store. I rarely write reviews, I was extremely disappointed in Osvaldo's behavior. As I was purchasing this gift for my sister who's been eyeing this ring for sometime, I wanted to gift this ring to her for her special day. I believe that exceptional customer service is a key element in the luxury retail industry, and unfortunately Osvaldo fell far short of those expectations. It's disheartening to encounter such a lack of courtesy and helpfulness, especially when considering the reputation Cartier has. 3.5 stars. I already picked out what I wanted online and decided to stop in to confirm the fitting and style. It was by appointment, and I recommend calling the store directly versus going through Cartier online scheduling. The rerouting did waste a bit of time and confusion between their main central office and the store. Upon entering the store, it felt as if we are walking into a higher-end jewelry store in China Town for a second. There are no comfortable seating areas. There are a couple of small cushy stools close to the entrance, which feels awkward to us. The store is designed for a direct counter walk-up, selecting your purchase, or looking at items in the case with assistance. If you make a purchase, then quickly move to a desk. There are no seating areas where the customers may have a private moment away from the sales representatives to discuss and review before purchase; it does not give a relaxing and plush welcoming vibe. They are by appointment only and appear they try to space out the customers, which is good especial during these times. Shuting Li was assigned to me once I checked in. Shuting was straightforward with her customer service style. I am sorry to say, but she was not warm and a flat-liner during our whole visit. We found it to be a bit surprising that she was adamant about fitting me in a size she felt was more appropriate rather than what I wanted. I had to push back a few times to select what I wanted and then purchase. It was an unpleasant and frustrating experience. We felt everything was shortened and quick. Once I had made the purchase, she offered two bottles of water and a piece of chocolate and told me, my partner, to share. Lol. The Cartier store gave me a couple of flowers which I thought was a lovely touch. After I made the purchase, Cartier hounded me with multiple emails asking for a review. Because I did not want to link back to our sales representative, I have not replied with my review. We will make more Cartier purchases, and this location is most convenient unless we will be traveling to another very likely place. Cartier exchange policy is astringent should you change your mind about your selection and is understandable. Overall, when one is making over $10,000 purchase in one stop, offering a glass of wine or champagne to celebrate the new purchase would be lovely. We feel Cartier can go up on their amenities, hospitality, and more polished sales representatives at this location. I've been here more times than I'd like to admit and have spent tens of thousands of dollars on jewelry here for my better half. I've interacted with most of the staff (if not all of them at one point), and they're all nice with one exception. I don't know what it is with Shuting, but I can drop $7K on a bracelet and when I ask for the simple cleaning kit she always says they're out of stock. We emailed Cartier and they confirmed they are in fact in stock at this store, and other sales associates seem to have no problem grabbing one from the back and giving it to us. So why is Shuting so stingy with them? Go here but try to get Tuan, or literally anybody but Shuting for your purchase, or else she'll withhold literally a little free cleaning kit after you drop a not-insignificant amount of money in here for most people. Customer service goes a long way for customer and brand loyalty. I came in to get one of the bracelet links off my Cartier Roadster as it was a little loose from recent weight loss. The Service Advisor (Fan Jiang) was not in a rush (even though it wasn't a new purchase) and asked some great questions to make sure I'm well taken care of. Fan got the bracelet link adjusted in no time and the watch fits perfectly again! Hands down the whole experience and customer service was impeccable. Update: we went back to Amber a week later, ready to purchase our ring, and she actually suggested a different option for us that wasn't even in store. A couple weeks ago I made an appointment at Cartier Palo Alto and was disappointed with the service I received. I opted not to make my bracelet purchase there because the SA made it feel like it was a huge hassle when I asked to try on different sizes. But that bracelet was still on my mind so I made an appointment at Westfield Valley Fair's Cartier. The experience was completely different than PA - less pretentious and friendlier atmosphere. Shana Liu was my SA she was friendly and patient. We sat down at a dedicated table space with chairs and a mirror (which differed from my previous experience) and she walked over with pieces I wanted to try. I struggled between two sizes and spent at least 20 minutes switching between both sized bracelets. Shana was so kind in screwing and unscrewing the love bracelets each time and providing tips and tricks for the bracelet. She also gave me her card with a mobile number to text her at for any questions and concerns. I texted her later that day after my appointment and she got back to me so quickly! I would definitely make any future Cartier purchases at the Valley Fair location! Left my cell on a piece of paper, we communicated via text, Lily looked up my customer information to compliment a previous purchase, put the item on hold, then I swung by and within 20 minutes left with the package in hand. Speaking of package - we all know the lovely wrapping that includes sealed wax (which btw takes a few minutes to dry if in a rush) but I appreciate the store providing a plain white package so you don't promote yourself while walking back through the mall.
