I have shopped a few times in past and most recent for my cosmetic needs and have always received helpful and professional service from their team. I love Chanel products and have been consistently using different types of their foundation. Both sales associates who recently helped me when I went in the store were very knowledgeable and patient. Not only with me, but with quite a few customers who were present. I visited the store thinking I wanted a card case wallet. Eben was assigned to me and he was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful. Eben showed me two wallet styles and I made a quick decision. While I was there, I wanted to see the CHANEL '22. Eben encouraged me to hold the bag and try it on. He also showed me a newer release so I could compare. I was torn because I own many black bags and I couldn't make up my mind. I'm trying to be better about impulse purchases, and Eben was patient and told me to take my time. I wanted to go back after shopping around the mall, but by the time I looped back around, Eben was gone or on break. When you're making luxury/designer purchases, it's always nice when sales associates take their time, put you at ease, and help you make decisions. After reading nice reviews on Yelp I left a message to speak to Roya about a hobo bag my friend owned. I called two days in a row but was unable to get help from an SA despite leaving my number, name and the style of bag I was looking for. Chris told me they don't hold bags for anyone and the website is a "showroom" but not reflective of the bags they have at the boutique. Of course I never asked anyone to hold a bag for me and know that Chanel doesn't sell bags online. For a 5k plus purchase, one would expect slightly better service. I'm not begging anyone to purchase their bags. +1 star for the shoe department people where I purchased a pair of flatform suede Chanel sandals. Not sure if they are connected but I will give them the credit anyway. read more

I have made a few purchases at this boutique since they opened - WOC, pouch, and mini top handle just days ago - and all the SAs who helped me were all wonderful. Chris, who I believe is the store manager, was so pleasant to work with. Last week, Grace helped me place an order for a mini top handle. 7.27.24 Decided to follow signs and buy my first Chanel bag (don't ask). Well, if you want to know, I went through the trouble of getting lash glue today and wanted to use it. 7pm: lashes on and make up touched up 7:20: "ugh do they close an hour before the mall or 30 minutes or???" 7:30: YOLO but tank was on empty, so V-Power Shell was mando ($50 woot) 7:40: smashed down to Valley Fair from Alameda ETA 8.25 8:17: arrival and security confirms they are open until 8:45, not 8:30. 8:25: waited in line and realized I forgot my PHONE IN THE CAR -- had to go get it 8:30: wait in line 8:45: guy tells us there are only two advisors and asks us if we know what we want 8:50 I make it in! Asked for water and was provided with two options! Sparkling and flat. The employees were friendly and considering they were serving me past closing, I was impressed. I never felt rushed, they patiently waited for me to decide between bags, and even graciously helped me work out the payment snag of my debit card not debiting -___-. I ended up paying with two cards (nice that they are able to do that!), though make sure you can pay them off right away. I went to my car and did so immediately. All said and done, I was happy. 9:10: photo with my Chanel Advisor (the employee that took the photo was very excited to do it for me since I explained this purchase was for my first bag). I absolutely loved my experience at this Chanel inside of the Nordstrom store. I was on the hunt for my first Chanel handbag and Roya was absolutely fantastic. She was very thoughtful and answered my millions of questions. she also took time to show me many different types of models/ colors. I think there is hesitation going into store likes this sometimes because they can pretentious, but this location doesn't have that aspect. Highly recommend! read more

I have made some purchases with Darryl recently, including the mini purple flap from the new 24C collection which I have been chasing after. He was prompt in notifying me when they had one in store, and I really appreciate his communication efforts. Came here with a friend as she wanted to look at some handbags. From the get-go, the standoffish behavior displayed by the SA already made us not want to look around and made us feel as if we were not welcome. The SA, Tina showed us a few bags, but made it seem that every time we asked to be shown a bag, she was being asked to perform the most difficult task in the world. We only asked to be shown 3 bags, nothing crazy. We also had a "Pretty Woman" moment when we asked to see a medium classic flap and Tina stated "by the way it is $10,800" (we already knew this). I have shopped at multiple luxury stores at Valley Fair and have been treated so well by SA's at those other stores, but I guess Chanel just views itself as being far superior than the rest. Other friends of mine have mentioned that this particular location is not friendly and I should have heeded their warning. Chanel's quality has been on the decline, and it seems as if their customer service is as well. read more

Watching this latest boutique within Nordstrom launch and get off the ground has been truly impressive to witness as a customer. This team, though new-to-each-other, is supported by longtime local managers from other nearby boutiques and much of the operational smoothness from the customer's perspective can be attributed to Chris' leadership of this store. He is an absolute gem to shop with and will support you at every step of an unhurried purchasing experience. I bought a couple of bags at this location. The first couple of visits were very good. The SAs were cheerful and asked questions to help me find what I needed. The last couple that I have had, though, were terrible. Maybe I just got SAs who were having bad days, but they were rude, rushing, and acted like they hated their jobs. Both visits were in the morning, so they had just started their days but acted like It was a minute before closing and they needed to get out of there. I understand that Chanel practically sells itself, but getting this from a luxury brand, especially one inside of a Nordstrom is really off putting. I still bought a bag from both SAs because I love the beautiful bags. Going forward, though, I'll stick to shopping at the Chanel in Neimans in Palo Alto. read more

today my girl friend and I stopped by the Chanel boutique inside the Nordstrom at Valley Fair Shopping Center. I was looking for a cell phone wallet, One of the lady sales associates took out a wallet from the drawer which wasn't what I had in mind. I just said "too big". She said "what are you talking about ? Nothing for you ." This associate was so rude and unpleasant. My girlfriend and I left that store immediately and headed to Dior. I made a purchase within five minutes time and came out as a happy camper. I will not shop at this particular Chanel store in the near future. read more
